Chapter 120 A Great Tonic

"After we process the game, we'll have a bonfire party tonight so everyone can relax."

Mo Lan took a walk around their place. There was a lot of people, and the atmosphere was very lively.

"Don't worry, boss, I'll get it done." During the training, they ate plenty of meat, but the intense training left them with no energy to think about anything else.

Now that the boss has spoken, I can finally relax tonight.

After inspecting the campsite, Mo Lan leisurely swung her teaching whip and entered the forest.

Deep in the forest, the canopy is dense, the thickets are thick, and the bushes are tangled, which can startle a pheasant or a rabbit every now and then.

When she encountered pheasants, Mo Lan didn't hesitate. Once she caught one, she threw it into the datura strait. As for rabbits, she simply ignored them. Rabbit meat had too much of a grassy taste and was too gamey. Without marinating with spices, it wouldn't taste good.

After passing through a forest, Mo Lan was stopped by a stream. The stream was about ten feet wide, and the water was crystal clear. Occasionally, black fish could be seen swimming around.

These creatures live a carefree life in the remote mountains and forests.

Mo Lan rubbed her stomach, broke off a branch, and stuck two fish in it for lunch. This place was sparsely populated and there were almost no hunters, so the fish were a little slow to react.

After cleaning them, they sat down by the stream and started a fire to grill the fish.

The fish is tender and easy to grill. Once the skin is golden brown, sprinkle with salt and pepper seasoning, and the aroma of the grilled fish will instantly fill the air. Mo Lan smelled it, blew on the steam, and took a small bite.

Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, fresh and juicy, leaving a lingering fragrance in your mouth.

Good water quality makes for better-tasting fish, it's undeniable.

After eating two fish, Mo Lan felt full. She extinguished the fire, picked up her pointer, and continued on her way.

After crossing the stream and walking for another half an hour, the view suddenly opened up before us. Apart from the towering peaks and low shrubs in the distance, there were no tall trees.

I never imagined there was such a place deep in the mountains.

Mo Lan flicked the pointer in her hand. The mountain valley in front of her looked like a natural basin.

As soon as she reached the halfway point down the mountain, Mo Lan heard a rustling sound.

Are there wild animals?

Mo Lan cautiously approached, holding a whip in her right hand and a crossbow strapped to her left wrist, ready to respond to any unexpected situations.

Carefully moving into the ravine, and parting the obscuring bushes, Mo Lan's eyes lit up: a sika deer?

Last time, she and Xiong Da and the others searched specifically but didn't find them. Now, however, they actually encountered a whole group of them.

Mo Lan knew that sika deer were gregarious. Looking at the dozen or so deer, she estimated her speed and figured that taking down half of them would be enough.

Tuck the pointer into your waistband, aim, and whoosh!

Wherever the crossbow bolts struck, the deer herds were startled and scattered in all directions, their whimpering cries echoing incessantly.

Seeing the five deer lying on the ground, Mo Lan squatted down, patted their fur, and then had the tomb spirit receive the mandala.

"Boss, I heard that venison is a very nutritious food. Let the team members roast some and eat it. It will definitely make their training twice as effective."

After putting the tomb spirit away, it spoke cheerfully, its tone somewhat gloating.

"Hey~, that's something worth a try."

Mo Lan curled the corners of her lips, and couldn't help but chuckle at the thought of those boys jumping around in such a hurry.

As she turned around, Mo Lan felt something sticking out of her foot, as if she had stepped on something that had been crushed. Looking down, she saw that the ground beneath her feet was dark and filthy.

Mo Lan disdainfully lifted her foot, rubbed it on a nearby stone, and then picked a leaf to wipe the surface of her shoe. When she threw the dirty leaf on the ground, she suddenly froze.

Oh my god~, what did she discover?
