Half an hour passed, and the two were still evenly matched. Qin Su had strong internal strength, while Mo Lan was agile. Qin Su's palm techniques were fluid and graceful, while Mo Lan's whip techniques were unpredictable and ever-changing. Sometimes it was a two-section whip, sometimes a nunchaku, sometimes as soft as a snake, and sometimes as hard as iron.
The onlookers on both sides were thoroughly enjoying the spectacle, finding a worthy opponent and observing their tactics was a rare treat. Therefore, neither side uttered a word, quietly awaiting the triumphant return of their respective leaders.
As she spoke, Mo Lan delivered a spinning kick to Qin Su's shin, while her pointer lashed out at his waist to stop him from retreating.
Qin Su sensed Mo Lan's intention, took a step, and sidestepped, while at the same time striking Mo Lan's shoulder with a palm.
Seeing the incoming palm strike, Mo Lan had no choice but to abandon her attack, retreat, and with a flick of her wrist, the whip, like a serpent, struck Qin Su's neck once more.
Seeing her repeat the same trick, Qin Su quickly spun around, flashed behind Mo Lan, and slapped her back with his palm.
Sensing the threat behind her, Mo Lan didn't need to turn around; she simply sidestepped and, as she turned, raised her left palm to meet Qin Su's hand.
The internal force mixed with a strong wind caused their palms to strike together.
With a bang, they each took three or four steps back, and the battle ended.
Stopping in her tracks, Mo Lan looked at Qin Su opposite her and curled the corners of her lips, "You are indeed very capable, and you certainly have the right to be proud!"
"Your movements are quite good, young lady. I had to defend myself several times, especially your whip technique, which is truly rare."
Qin Su was not exaggerating at all. Not to mention the female warriors she usually met, even men rarely had her level of martial arts skills.
No wonder she's always so arrogant. Just like she said, courage is linked to ability, which makes a lot of sense. Most people really can't handle her.
Qin Su turned to look at the few subordinates who were watching the show, "What are you doing here?"
The group exchanged glances, inwardly complaining, before rising to their feet and bowing. "We heard from our subordinates that the young master and Miss Mo Lan were sparring, and out of curiosity, we came to observe."
Han Shuang walked to Mo Lan's side, raised an eyebrow, and asked, "What's wrong? Did you two disagree?"
"It was indeed a disagreement, but it has nothing to do with Jiang Mian."
As Mo Lan spoke, she hung the pointer on her waist and turned to leave, glancing at Qin Su again, "You felt better after the fight?"
Qin Su: "......"
Judging from her tone, it seemed as if I was the one being unreasonable.
"Didn't you want to go to Ye County? Are you still going now?" Mo Lan raised an eyebrow as she looked at Qin Su, who remained silent.
"Go, why wouldn't I go? It's two different things." He's not the kind of person who can't separate public and private matters. It was just a fight, and besides, he didn't lose. It was a draw. Why is she so arrogant towards him?
Looking at Mo Lan's expression, Qin Su couldn't help but feel angry.
"Since you have no objections, then let's meet down the mountain." Mo Lan stared at his eyes beneath the mask, feeling a slight regret. She should have slapped him earlier to save herself from having to face this green-faced fox every day, which only made her more wary.
"That's what I was thinking too. Rather than letting those three idiots ruin things, we should take the initiative to invite Jiang Mian to join us. They say it's good to have a big tree to lean on. Although your tree isn't small, it's still not very far away. Compared to the natives, there will always be inconveniences. Sometimes sharing a piece of the pie can reduce a lot of trouble. As long as the benefits outweigh the drawbacks, we've won. What do you say?"
