Chapter 244 An Encounter Under the Moon

"Don't worry, sir, I understand." Waiters in restaurants are all quick-witted, and after receiving the instructions, they immediately went out.

"Boss, have you discovered something? Should I go and investigate?" Frost asked softly, gripping her longsword.

"No need, I just felt that the back looked a little familiar, it's nothing serious." Mo Lan shook her head, sat down and served herself a bowl of soup. "Don't just stand there, eat."

A sip of soup before a meal is good for longevity and health. After finishing a bowl of yam and pigeon soup, Mo Lan nodded, "This soup is good, cooked to perfection."

Just as they took a few bites, the waiter pushed the door open and came in, looking apologetic. "I'm so sorry, the guests in the private room 'Song' wouldn't let us in, so I couldn't find out anything... But when my colleague brought the food in, I think I heard them call someone's name, something like 'Tingyu,' which sounded a bit strange."

Listening to the waiter's description, Mo Lan was taken aback. What a coincidence! "Well done," she said.

As expected of a waiter trained in a high-end restaurant, he's very attentive.

After sending the person away, Han Shuang looked at her boss and asked, "Should we go say hello?"

"What are you fighting for? Let's eat." Mo Lan was speechless that she could run into Qin Su even while eating. Was Qin Su not fast on his feet?

The food was delicious, and the two enjoyed their meal immensely. After finishing their meal, as they passed by the private room named Song, Mo Lan subconsciously turned her head to take a look, only to find that it was already deserted.

Walking back onto the main street, looking at the still bustling street, Mo Lan decided to stroll back to the inn.

As they walked, they looked at the shops on both sides, and occasionally a small vendor selling trinkets would brush past them.

Mo Lan enjoyed watching the excitement in these ancient streets. Just as she squatted down to examine the sachets, she heard cheers from the crowd.

"So lively, is it a variety show?" Mo Lan stood up and looked ahead.

"A street performer, boss, want to go check him out?" Han Shuang frowned as she looked at the crowd that had gathered three or four deep.

"Go take a look, but don't get too close." Mo Lan understood Han Shuang and didn't insist. Holding the sachet she had just bought, she walked over and stopped under a big tree.

In the crowd, a brother and sister were fighting, their swords clashing with a fierce and impressive display.

This was the first time she had ever seen someone perform acrobatics for money, but she wasn't very interested. After watching for a while with her hands behind her back, Mo Lan directly called to Han Shuang, "Let's go, it's time to go back."

"Yes, boss, go to the left, there are fewer people there."

As soon as the two turned past the big tree, Mo Lan froze, her eyes wide with surprise.

Qin Su stood with his hands behind his back, looking at Mo Lan who had suddenly appeared before him, and was also taken aback, but then the corners of his lips curved into a smile.

"What a coincidence, Mo Lan has such refined tastes."

“That’s quite a coincidence. Didn’t you go home? You’re not walking fast enough.” Mo Lan raised an eyebrow as she looked at Qin Su.

"On the way back to Liangjing, Guanjun is the only way. This place looks nice, so I'll stay for a few days. Who is Miss Molan?" Qin Su looked at Molan, glanced at the sachet in her hand, and asked casually.

"I just arrived in Guan County today. I had nothing to do, so I came out for a stroll." Mo Lan flicked the sachet in her hand and turned to walk forward.

The two walked side by side down the street, and when they passed through crowded areas, Qin Su deliberately avoided the crowds for her.

As for the people following behind him, he had long forgotten about them. Tingyu and the others were also aware of their own limitations, so they silently slowed down and greeted and chatted with Hanshuang in a familiar manner.
