Chapter 312 A Whip

The sudden turn of events startled everyone. After a moment of stunned silence, they realized that Mo Lan had suddenly appeared.

"Did you hit me?" Yue Qun rubbed the back of his hand, his expression fierce.

Mo Lan gently stroked the pointer. "I saw you were being nosy and wanted to give you a heads-up. It doesn't matter how bad your own reputation is, but please don't drag others down with you."

"Who are you? How dare you meddle in our business?" Yue Qun looked around and saw that only Mo Lan was there, so he became bolder.

"I'll help those in need when I see injustice, but I can't stand seeing you bully the weak. If you know what's good for you, get lost, or I won't have such a good temper." Mo Lan glanced at Yue Qun and snorted.

"You brat who talks such nonsense, I think you're asking for a beating. Since you're so eager to meddle, I'll give you a good spanking."

As he spoke, he suddenly drew the dagger from his waist and stabbed at Mo Lan.

The change happened in an instant, and the others didn't even have time to react, especially the master and servant, who were so frightened that their mouths were agape and they didn't even move their feet.

"court death."

Seeing the dagger aimed at her chest, Mo Lan's eyes turned cold. She dodged aside, lashed out with her whip, and wrapped it around Yue Qun's wrist. Then she flung him outward, throwing him three meters away.

With a bang, a layer of dust rose from the ground.

"Ah...you have some nerve! If my dad finds out, he'll skin you alive! Cough cough..."

Yue Qun clutched his chest and lay on the ground, panting heavily.

"Your father? Yue Dewen? Let's see if he dares to show his face before me. A mere illegitimate son, yet so arrogant. Daring to harass respectable women within the temple, he might as well be thrown into the river to feed the fish."

Hearing Mo Lan's cold tone, glancing at the churning river, and then at Yue Qun lying on the ground, the group shrank back and swallowed hard in unison.

Looking at their performance, Mo Lan snorted. These guys are all bark and no bite. I don't know how they earned the title of "Street-Clean Tiger".

"You call yourselves scions of prestigious families, yet you collude with someone like Yue Qun and still manage to bump into girls. You're truly shameful."

Hearing Mo Lan's sarcasm, the group's faces flushed and paled in turns. Xiao Liu was the first to react, quickly opening his folding fan and fanning himself vigorously a few times to catch his breath.

"How can friends maintain their status? Besides, within the temple grounds, one must never kill..."

"Ahem, Xiao Liu is right. Yue Qun was rude. Let's apologize to this young lady and let's let this matter drop, shall we?"

The young prince looked at Mo Lan, blinked his big eyes repeatedly, then clasped his hands in a fist salute to Mo Lan and politely agreed.

"You two are really united and friendly, but unfortunately you are destined to be on different paths." Mo Lan looked at Yue Qun, who was treacherous and cunning.

Yue Qun's ribs ached from the impact, and he tried to get up several times but couldn't. He had been looking at Mo Lan with resentment, but now he didn't dare to look her in the eye.

Mo Lan looked at the stunned master and servant, then glanced at the four street-cleaning tigers, "Aren't you going to apologize?"

Seeing Yue Qun lying on the ground, the three exchanged glances, cupped their hands in a fist and palm salute, and said, "Miss Zhao, please forgive us. We were abrupt."

Yue Qun originally wanted to pretend to be dead and not say anything, but when he was stared at by Mo Lan's cool eyes, he swallowed and said, "I'm sorry, please forgive my rudeness, Miss Zhao."

After apologizing, he couldn't help but steal a glance at Mo Lan before immediately lowering his head, a fleeting look of resentment in his eyes.
