Mo Lan looked at the dangerous man standing with his hands behind his back. In the mountains and forests, she seemed to hear him call out Qin Su.
What bad luck! If I had known he was here, I would have changed inns.
Just as Mo Lan was feeling annoyed, a gaze suddenly shot towards her, startling her so much that she immediately leaned back to avoid the other person's gaze.
She secretly breathed a sigh of relief after the gaze disappeared from sight. She was really alert; she only glanced at him once.
Standing in the backyard, Qin Su looked through the mask at the window on the second floor and pursed her lips.
He was certain that there was a pair of eyes watching him, but the other party was alert enough that he only saw a blurry shadow flash by.
Have they been exposed?
"No wind, go and find out who's staying in that room."
"yes,"
Qin Su stood there with his hands behind his back, his eyes deep and unfathomable. He chose the backyard of the inn to avoid attracting attention. He also arranged for people to be in charge of the guest rooms, while the rest of the business operated normally.
I didn't expect to be noticed.
Thinking of this, Qin Su tightened his grip on his back, his knuckles cracking.
Mo Lan moved away from the back window, made a slight adjustment, and then took Hua Bao downstairs to go shopping.
As she went downstairs, Mo Lan glanced at the few people still sitting in the lobby, lowered her eyes, and stepped out the door.
The moment the master and servant left, they appeared without a breeze.
He glanced at someone in the lobby, who stood up nonchalantly, dusted off the sunflower seed shells, and leisurely walked out.
"Brother Feng, has the young master given any instructions?" In the dark alley, the man clasped his hands and bowed to Wufeng.
"Has anything unusual happened at the inn today?" Wu Feng asked, his hands behind his back, looking at his subordinates' disguises. He couldn't see any flaws in their disguises.
"I haven't noticed anything unusual. There are a few people staying at the inn, and they don't seem to have anything special about them," the man said, shaking his head.
"Then do you know who lives in room A3 on the second floor?" Wu Feng paused for a moment, then asked again.
"The third room? Oh right, it's two girls, a mistress and a servant. They just went out shopping." The little maid beside the girl kept chattering, and he overheard it.
You've gone out? What a coincidence!
"Brother Feng, judging from their tone, those two girls seem to know the innkeeper quite well, so they should be safe." The guard thought for a moment and then truthfully recounted the scene of the two girls entering the inn.
Listening to his subordinate's account, Wufeng nodded. Since he was a regular customer, he probably had no connection with the people over there.
"Okay, tell the brothers to be on high alert. If they find anything unusual, report it immediately."
Wu Feng thought for a moment and didn't refute it. It would be much simpler to investigate someone who was familiar with the innkeeper.
Mo Lan, who was out shopping, had no idea that she was being treated as a dangerous person. At that moment, the two of them were walking down the street with great interest.
Big cities are indeed different; they're bustling with people, and you can buy anything you want. Mo Lan walked quietly, her ears filled with Hua Bao's incessant chatter and the shouts of vendors hawking their wares.
Mo Lan paid close attention to the shops on both sides of the street and the flow of people around her, hoping to find some business opportunities and perhaps even make some money.
"Young Miss, is there anything we need to buy during our trip to the city?"
Hua Bao's mouth was dry from talking, but she didn't hear a response. When she turned her head, she realized that the young lady had been looking around at the shops and hadn't been listening to her at all.
"No, I was just browsing."
Mo Lan toyed with the pointer in her hand, her expression indifferent. Lacking money, any further thoughts would be futile.
