Chapter Twelve: Black Outfit

Dressed in a black outfit with tight sleeves, a bright red belt, and black and red tassel ribbons hanging from her shoulders, with a high ponytail tied with a black headband, the young lady's aura changed completely, exuding a heroic and dashing air!

I never knew a young lady could dress like this!

Mo Lan ignored the little girl's surprised look and headed straight for the square in the east of the city.

The further east you go, the more people there are. Just like the waiter said, the crowd is chaotic and it's really not suitable for women to travel.

As for herself, Mo Lan curled her lips slightly. As a cleaner, she was used to being surrounded by smelly men.

"Wow~, Miss, it's so lively here." The little maid followed Mo Lan around, chattering incessantly, wishing she had six pairs of eyes to see everything.

"It's quite lively. Stay close, or I won't look for you if you get separated."

The East City Square was very large and bustling. Because of government intervention, the goods were arranged in an orderly manner, and there were also yamen runners patrolling among the crowd, ready to resolve any disputes at any time.

Mo Lan gave the guards some instructions and then led Hua Bao into the crowd. She wanted to know the types of goods being bought and sold during this period and the most sought-after items.

Even if they only looked around and didn't buy anything, it still took the master and servant almost half an hour to walk around the entire square.

After browsing through all the items and checking their prices, Mo Lan couldn't help but frown. The things here were very messy, but at the same time, they were also very complete.

It must not be easy for you to gather goods from all directions here.

Thinking about the transportation issue, Mo Lan was startled. She had just formed an idea when she was interrupted.

“Miss Mo Lan, what a coincidence! I didn’t expect to run into you in Ye County!” As he spoke, Hu Biao with the scarred face stood in front of him, followed by Mu Renchangliang.

Hu Biao stared at the woman who suddenly appeared in front of him, and after a moment of stunned silence, he was left with nothing but amazement. He never expected that the delicate woman from before would have such a cold and beautiful side.

"It really is a coincidence." Mo Lan felt terrible the moment she saw Hu Biao.

"Hehe... It's better to meet by chance than to meet by appointment. The chieftain and Miss Mo Lan are truly destined to be together."

Seeing the chieftain's lustful gaze, Changliang understood immediately and offered a compliment.

"Haha... Mr. Changliang is quite the talker. Miss Molan is my future wife, so our fate is naturally not shallow."

He used to think that this woman was just a pretty vase, something to be admired but not touched, as she was easily broken.

But now, my mindset has changed. Marrying her as a bandit's wife doesn't seem so bad.

Looking at Hu Biao's burning gaze, Mo Lan felt uncomfortable. "The chieftain should be careful with his words. Although the people in the stronghold are unrestrained and unconventional, they should avoid doing things that needlessly ruin someone's reputation, as it is against their moral character."

Hu Biao: "..."

"Hehe... Chief Chief, Miss Mo Lan is just shy. Please don't take offense at a young lady like that. If you want to discuss the wedding date, you should go to Chief Hua."

Seeing his chieftain's displeasure, Changliang immediately stepped in to smooth things over. However, he was also surprised by Molan's courage; wasn't she supposed to be timid and cowardly?

I didn't realize that!

Hu Biao listened to Chang Liang's suggestion and nodded in agreement.

“Mr. Changliang is right. It was my presumption to arrange a marriage by parents and matchmakers. Miss Molan, please don’t take offense. Since we’ve met at the barter market today, I can’t be stingy. Whatever you like is on me.”
