What can bandits who are only halfway through their training do to them?
If he had been a little more ruthless, he wouldn't have ended up in such a miserable state.
Of all the people in Qinglong Village, only Second Uncle's appearance is impressive.
Hearing Hua Fengyu's sigh, Mo Lan was stunned. She really didn't remember this. The original owner never cared about these things and knew very little about them.
As second-generation bandits, shouldn't they carry on their family's legacy?
"Since I've become a second-generation bandit, I have to shoulder any burden, no matter how heavy."
Seeing Hua Fengyu's bewildered expression, Mo Lan curled her lips and walked away.
Bandits...second-generation bandits? Them?
Hua Fengyu shook his head, a rare hint of helplessness showing in his indifferent expression.
After lingering at White Tiger Cliff for half a day, the three of them arrived at the foot of Green Dragon Village as dusk was falling.
In the summer forest, the air is not scorching; instead, a gentle breeze carries a refreshing coolness.
Mo Lan looked up at the fiery clouds hanging in the sky, golden and shimmering. Under the afterglow, even the surrounding trees were tinged with gold, looking warm and inviting.
Just as she was concentrating on feeling the warmth, she suddenly heard the sound of horses' hooves. Someone was coming towards their Qinglong Village.
Mo Lan opened her eyes, looked down at the hidden mountain path below, and flicked the pointer in her hand.
"Brother, you take Hua Bao back to the village first, I'll go down and take a look."
Before Hua Fengyu could agree, Mo Lan leaped several times, her figure growing smaller and smaller until she disappeared in the blink of an eye!
The two were left staring blankly in the direction where Mo Lan had disappeared, utterly bewildered!
"This is...this is unbelievable," Hua Bao murmured.
"Yes, Lan'er is giving us more and more surprises." Hua Fengyu came back to his senses, the corners of his lips curved into a smile, and he chuckled softly.
As they reached the foot of the mountain, the sound of horses' hooves grew increasingly rapid and chaotic in Mo Lan's ears.
Following the sound of hooves, Mo Lan rode forward a short distance and stopped beside a grove of trees.
He casually flicked his pointer, wrapped it around a tree trunk, leaped up, and stood there steadily, gazing into the distance!
Hiding a figure among the dense foliage was incredibly easy. Mo Lan found a comfortable spot to sit down and put on her silver wolf mask.
A moment later, with the clatter of hooves, a tall, black horse appeared in Hua Molan's sight, carrying a middle-aged man on its back.
Judging from his clothes, although he was disheveled, he had a good presence and should be a wealthy person!
In the instant she was scrutinizing them, several more people came into her view. Dressed in black and masked, with fierce eyes, they were initially identified as assassins or suicidal agents.
"Surround them and kill them!"
As the men in black pursued them, they blocked the horse's path. They held weapons, their eyes were cold, and they exuded a strong smell of blood.
Mo Lan frowned; these places must have been stained with a lot of blood recently!
"This desolate place is quite a good burial ground!"
The middle-aged man on horseback was clutching his left lower abdomen with one hand and holding the reins with the other. Presumably due to excessive blood loss, his eyes were somewhat unfocused and his lips were trembling, as if he was trying his best to stay conscious.
“Just accept your fate. Don’t blame us brothers. Every wrong has its perpetrator, and every debt has its debtor. When we get to the underworld, we’ll settle our scores and avenge our wrongs.”
The leader of the men in black stared at the middle-aged man on horseback with his cold, indifferent eyes, clearly satisfied with his appointment.
