Chapter 231 Nightmare

She wanted to take control of her body, to open her eyes and discuss the issue of caring for others with Han Shuang, but despite her thoughts, her body was completely out of her control. Her head was also throbbing with a dull ache and buzzing. As if, she could hear the roar of crashing waves, mixed with the buzzing of ship horns.

With great effort, she opened her eyes. She saw a blood-stained deck, mountains of corpses, and waves crashing against the shore. Blood mingled with the seawater, merging into the ocean, and moments later, it was a blinding, crimson expanse…

Looking at everything that was both familiar and unfamiliar before her, Mo Lan felt her breathing quicken, her mood become depressed, and she felt a faint sense of regret.

Too many fragments flashed through her mind too quickly, making her lose track of time.

Watching all this in silence, she felt like an outsider, unable to do anything or help at all. This feeling made Mo Lan very uncomfortable; it was as if a huge stone was pressing on her chest, making it hard to breathe, impossible to break free or move away.

The more this was the case, the stranger she felt, and she desperately wanted to break through that barrier and shake off the blood-stained scene before her.

Qin Su looked at Mo Lan, whose face was contorted with distress and tears were streaming down her face. He was puzzled and wondered why she was crying.

It's just a bowl of hangover soup, did he go too far?

Surprised, Qin Su looked at her hand, then at her chin which had been pinched red, and a look of annoyance flashed in her eyes.

It turns out this woman also has delicate skin.

Seeing Mo Lan's furrowed brows and extremely uncomfortable expression, Qin Su wondered, "Do all women feel this uncomfortable when they're drunk?"

What a show-off woman! If she had known this would happen, why did she do it in the first place?

He clearly warned me.

Despite his thoughts, Qin Su couldn't resist raising his hand, clumsily rubbing her head, and softly coaxing her.

"...After drinking the hangover soup, you'll feel better in a little while. Just bear with it."

Her hair is quite soft, like a cat's.

But the cat wouldn't listen. It kept rubbing its head against his chest, and its paws were pulling at his sleeves, tearing them as if it wanted to rip them off.

"He's such a worry."

Qin Su tried tugging at the sleeve, but the more she pulled, the tighter it became, and her expression was somewhat fierce, as if she had just stolen cat food.

Unable to free himself for the time being, Qin Su sighed helplessly. Thinking of the cat his mother kept, he tried to raise his hand and gently soothe it, rubbing its head, patting its back and smoothing its fur... until he heard Mo Lan's even breathing, then he stopped.

Qin Su stared in shock at Mo Lan's tightly pursed lips. It really worked!

Gently place her on the pillow, help her turn to her side, and gently massage her back...

It wasn't until Mo Lan calmed down completely that Qin Su realized he had been so nervous that he was covered in sweat, which felt sticky and uncomfortable against his skin.

After trying to replace her sleeve with a pillow, Qin Su breathed a sigh of relief, gave her a deep look, and turned to leave.

When Han Shuang returned, she saw her eldest brother sleeping peacefully, then walked over and sat down to rest with her eyes closed.

When Mo Lan woke up, it was already late at night. She opened her eyes and looked at the unfamiliar yet familiar bed curtains. She sat up abruptly and realized that her body was sore and weak.

He raised his hand to pinch the space between his eyebrows and realized that he was holding a pillow in his arms.

Mo Lan blinked. It seemed that she had visited Jiang Mian during the day, and later Qin Su also came, and the three of them drank together.
