Chapter 62 The Weird Old Man

Chapter 62 The Weird Old Man

Pei Xiangwan thought about it for a while and felt that this would not be a surprise.

"No, that's not a surprise."

Qiao Yanxin said in an incredulous tone, "Surprise? Are you two in love?"

Pei Xiangwan immediately retorted, "What? What are you talking about? Don't talk nonsense. It's not true. Jiang Jiang is very good."

Qiao Yanxin narrowed her eyes and said with an "I understand everything" look, "So you're not worthy of me."

The only smile left on Pei Xiangwan's face froze, replaced by a look of loss and sorrow.

She had thought that Jiang Shiyuan was a special person in her heart, but she had not figured out how to deal with it.

She was worried that she didn't belong here. What if she passed away one day, and then who would replace her body? What would Jiang Shiyuan do?

If she had the choice, could choose not to leave here, she might be bolder.

Now, she is worried every day, afraid that when she opens her eyes, she will see the dormitory where she lives with the other members.

Pei Xiangwan said nothing. Qiao Yan thought for a moment and said.

"As for relationships, if you like someone, just pursue them. If two people are comfortable and happy together, why worry about whether they're compatible? How can you know if you don't try? The more you worry, the more you'll miss out."

After saying this, she sighed deeply, like an old man who had lived in seclusion in the mountains for many years, and smiled at Pei Xiangwan.

Qiao Yanxin glanced at her and said, "No, it's not profound. What's so funny!"

——————

It was just getting light, but not completely dark yet. Jiang Shiyuan was unable to go back with Pei Xiangwan due to time constraints.

I just finished helping out and came to the school rooftop with my laptop.

Whenever she comes here, she feels like she is very close to the sky. The blue, whether deep or light, is very healing to people's hearts.

The wind was cold due to the lack of sunshine, but she didn't care at all.

It was as if she were the daughter of the snow or the wind, and she would receive all their favors and not feel the cold.

Jiang Shiyuan sat on the small step where she usually sat, opened her laptop, took out a Bluetooth headset from her coat pocket, and looked at the computer screen, her fingers tapping quickly on the keyboard.

"See, Chen Cheng? I suspect it's the same person who's looking for me. Last time, someone threatened me, and this time, they touched my dance costume. They're a little smarter now, knowing to be fully armed, but they're still stupid."

She smiled coldly, stared at the woman on the computer screen, went into the bathroom, and came out wrapped tightly.

"Just remember to save what you need quickly, and don't scare everyone in the school to death later, Chen Cheng."

"Got it, Boss. This person is very good at hiding. She hardly leaves any loopholes. As long as she is endangered, she will destroy it, so..."

Jiang Shiyuan smiled inexplicably and spoke slowly.

"Don't move yet. The snake will come out of its hole on its own. She keeps making noises, which means she's looking for an opportunity."

Unconsciously, the sky completely lost its luster. Jiang Shiyuan glanced at the time and said.

"Let's leave it at that for now. I have something else to do today. Remember to have someone keep an eye on this woman."

After saying that, she took off her headphones, and after she had almost packed up, she stood up.

She looked up at the dark sky. She could vaguely see that the clouds that had not yet had time to float away had also become dim and lifeless.

Whenever Jiang Shiyuan thinks of that lovely person, he will feel that everything is lovely and full of vitality.

Even the marshmallow clouds in the sky that looked like they had been melted by the scorching sun turned into lifelike little white rabbits, hopping away.

She looks forward to the future and even wishes she could go there in an instant.

She wanted to know what she looked like at that time, what Pei Xiangwan looked like at that time, but she was afraid of missing out on the most important time of getting along with each other.

If she can get through it, she will have a candy house that belongs to her.

——————

On the other side, Pei Xiangwan was in a dilemma. She went to many flower shops, but none of them were open. Even the one that closed the latest was closed.

She squatted on the ground, feeling a little helpless. She blamed herself for not buying flowers when she returned home. It was obviously the most appropriate day to send flowers.

Pei Xiangwan lowered his head and looked at the ground, muttering to himself.

"Bad luck...bad luck..." Suddenly her mind raced. She could fold paper! Pei Xiangwan instantly regained her energy and stood up.

"Child, do you want gladiolus?"

That familiar, old and slightly hoarse voice was like someone playing the cello in the quiet night. Its low sound resounded all around, making people intoxicated.

Pei Xiangwan looked back at the old man standing not far away. She remembered him because of his clothes, appearance, and even the fact that the bouquet of flowers she was holding was pink and white under the dim light.

She slowly said, "It's you. Are you still selling flowers so late?"

The old man walked towards Pei Xiangwan with a smile on his face. Because of his age, his steps were a little slow. Seeing this, Pei Xiangwan hurried over.

The old man said, "There's only one bunch left this time. Do you want to buy it, kid?"

Pei Xiangwan nodded gently, and the corners of his mouth couldn't help but rise.

"I need it, I really need it, grandma. I've looked in many stores, but they're all closed. I don't know what day it is today, but they're all closed."

She stretched out her hands to take the flowers from the old woman and asked, "How much is it, grandma?"

The old man smiled and said, "It's still ten dollars."

Pei Xiangwan remembered that he had bought two bundles before, so the price was this.

"Grandma, are you selling it too cheaply?"

The old man shook his head firmly and said, "No, it is worth it. It is different from you."

Seeing the old man's firm attitude, Pei Xiangwan didn't say anything more. He paid the money and said goodbye to the old man.

"Thank you, grandma. I'm leaving now. You should go back soon."

But the old man called her at this moment, and Pei Xiangwan stopped.

She didn't know if it was her illusion, but the leaf that fell at her feet was falling unusually slowly, as if it encountered some resistance.

The old man still had a smile on his face as he looked at Pei Xiangwan and said.

“Sometimes, what you see may not be true. If the same person is there, the things you use are dead, but things are not. Only when there are living people can they happen. They are alive and can be changed.”

Pei Xiangwan didn't understand what the old man said, what was dead and alive.

She smiled awkwardly and said, "I don't understand what you are talking about."

The old woman sighed, and under the dim light, her eyes were cloudy and lifeless.

"You will understand sooner or later. You must remember that what you saw before is not necessarily true. What if everything you should have originally been there is yours?"

The old man paused and said, "Son, you should go now, or it will be too late. I guess we will meet again."
