As expected, the head of the Lian family did not disappoint. He looked around, his expression a mixture of anger and helplessness, and said:
"From today onwards, Lian Chuchu of the Lian family and Lin Feifan of the Lin family are annulling their engagement."
The single stone stirred up a thousand waves; everyone looked at each other in bewilderment, and then began to discuss it.
"Hiss, what's with this sudden turn of events?"
"You're kidding, right? I know those two; they've always been very much in love."

Xu Yao pulled Lian Chuchu along, unable to bear seeing her so upset, and said, "Sister Chuchu, this isn't your fault. We're just stating the facts."

Nan Zhi glanced calmly at Xu Yao and Lian Chuchu, who were standing on the high platform, putting on a grand show in front of everyone.
