Before Nan Zhi could answer, the man grabbed her arm and led her into the room. After closing the balcony door, Shen Xingmian still looked angry.
"Do you know the consequences of doing this? How dare you?"
Nan Zhi was taken aback for a moment, then patted Shen Xingmian's shoulder reassuringly, "I'm good at fighting, what are you afraid of?"
Shen Xingmian's expression did not soften; instead, she became even angrier. "What do you mean by 'good skills'? What do you want me to understand?"
Nanzhi, however, did not understand the other person's feelings; she was somewhat puzzled:

This was the first time Nan Zhi had seen Shen Xingmian so angry, but she understood that he was just afraid that she would fall and get hurt.
But these words made her doubtful.
Looking into the girl's bright eyes, Shen Xingmian swallowed the words that were on the tip of his tongue. He reached out and pulled her into his arms, his tone flat:

Nanzhi nodded, then looked up at him with a smile:
"Why did you come to Yuecheng? Did you come to chase after me?"
The man instinctively retorted, "Of course not, I have business to attend to."
Nan Zhi responded with an "Oh," without noticing the blush that appeared on the tip of the man's ear.
After a long silence, Shen Xingmian changed the subject: "Don't get too close to them. The Xu family isn't really familiar with you."
Nan Zhi agreed. Apart from Old Xu, everyone in the family was indifferent to her, but what they revealed was more dislike than anything else.
“My maternal grandfather is very good to me, I can feel it.”
Shen Xingmian reached out and took the girl's hand, gently squeezing it with a hint of tenderness.
"Old Xu may have some sincerity towards you, but no matter who it is, you can't trust them easily. Speaking of which, if you are Xu's granddaughter, your mother should have also died in that accident."
