Chapter 44 A Sheep and a Wolf

"Here you go." The man walked up to Nanzhi and awkwardly handed her the popcorn he was holding.

Nanzhi scratched her head. "Why did you think of buying popcorn?"

Shen Xingmian: "..." He saw that other girls had them, and thinking of Nanzhi, he bought one.

"It depends on what you want to eat."

Nan Zhi: "......" Reaching out to take the popcorn, Nan Zhi grabbed a handful and stuffed it into her mouth.

Shen Xingmian was studying the movie tickets; the two of them, one sitting and one standing, created a beautiful scene.

When the time comes, there will be an announcement over the loudspeaker.

Nan Zhi and Shen Xingmian went to queue up together.

However, Shen Xingmian soon discovered a strange problem: almost all the people watching this movie were adults with their children.

However, even though she had doubts in her heart, Shen Xingmian did not ask them.

Once inside the theater, after Nan Zhi and Shen Xingmian found their seats, they heard a little girl passing by say:

"Mom, are the older brothers and sisters here to see the sheep and the wolf too? They're so big, it's embarrassing."

The child's mother quickly apologized, "I'm sorry, the child doesn't know any better."

After saying that, she picked up her child and quickly left their row.

Nanzhi: "..."

Shen Xingmian: "......"

Shen Xingmian still doesn't understand why a child would say that.

Until the film opened, Shen Xingmian's expression gradually stiffened as she watched the sheep and wolves on the big screen.

Nanzhi covered her mouth, stopping herself from laughing out loud.

The movie was very entertaining, and Nan Zhi quickly became engrossed in it, laughing heartily with the children.

A boy of about ten years old sat next to her. He looked at Nan Zhi and then glanced at Shen Xingmian next to Nan Zhi.

She reached out her little hand and poked Nanzhi's arm. "Big sister, the big brother next to you seems unhappy. Why are you smiling so happily?"

Nanzhi looked down at him, the chubby little boy, and whispered, "Shh, big brother is afraid of the big bad wolf."

The chubby boy covered his mouth in surprise, and Nanzhi smiled and handed him the popcorn in her hand.

The chubby boy swallowed hard, then shook his head. "Mom said I can't take things from other people."

Nanzhi: "Here you go, take it and eat it."

The child's mother noticed the interaction between the two, turned to look at Nanzhi, then smiled and patted her son's head, "Since your sister gave it to you, take it if you want to eat it."

The chubby boy's eyes lit up, and he reached out to take it, saying, "Thank you, big sister, you're so beautiful."

Nanzhi: "..."

After watching the two-hour movie, Shen Xingmian exuded a somber aura.

Nan Zhi followed closely behind him. After leaving the movie theater, Nan Zhi finally couldn't hold back anymore and burst into laughter.

Shen Xingmian clenched her fists, remained silent for a while, and then turned around, looking at Nan Zhi with an inscrutable expression.

Nan Zhi: "Hahaha... I can't help it, it's too funny."

Shen Xingmian frowned, her tone carrying a hint of displeasure:

"You knew all along."

Nanzhi wiped away the tears of laughter from the corners of her eyes. "I've already asked you, and you still argued with me. What can I say?"

Shen Xingmian: "..." He was certain that Nan Zhi was doing it on purpose.

Noticing that Shen Xingmian's expression was getting increasingly grim, Nan Zhi suppressed a laugh and quickly went over to comfort him:

"Okay, it was my fault. Let's go back."

Shen Xingmian didn't want to pay attention to Nanzhi for the time being. He turned around and left, and Nanzhi quickly followed, talking to him with a smile.

Even when ignored, Nan Zhi persisted in explaining to Shen Xingmian.

At the cinema entrance, the girl asked in confusion:

"Yaoyao, what's wrong?"

Xu Yao stared at the two figures not far away, her fists gradually clenching.

After a long while, she turned to her friend with a smile and said, "It's okay, let's go."

It was already five o'clock when they got back to the hotel. Nan Zhi didn't go back to her own room first, but followed Shen Xingmian into the presidential suite.

"Hey, Shen Xingmian, are you still angry?"

Shen Xingmian was silent for a moment, then said without looking up, "No."

Nanzhi glared at him, "You're lying, you haven't spoken to me the whole way."

Shen Xingmian then raised her head and gave her a helpless look, "Really not."

No matter how angry she was, Shen Xingmian would never be angry at Nan Zhi.

He was just angry with himself. It was such a simple activity; anyone on the street should know that "Sheep and Wolf" was an animated film, but Shen Xingmian had no idea. This made him, who was always so high and mighty, feel somewhat frustrated.

Nanzhi felt relieved after confirming that he wasn't angry, and said reassuringly:

"Shen Xingmian, believe me, you're definitely not the first one who doesn't know. I'll find one for you right now, just wait a moment."

After saying that, he sat on the sofa, opened WeChat, and looked for the most suitable person from his contacts.

Soon, Nanzhi's finger stopped on the contact information for her "good grandson," and the corners of her mouth curved into a smile.

Next, open the chat interface.

Zhizhi is Zhizhi: Are you there?

The other party replied very quickly.

My dear grandson: What?

Zhizhi is Zhizhi: I have a question for you [smile]

My dear grandson: [Pouting] You actually need my help sometimes? [Laughing]

Zhizhi is Zhizhi: Do you know a certain sheep and a certain wolf?

My dear grandson: What? [question mark]

Zhizhi is Zhizhi: Just tell me if you know or not.

My dear grandson: The sheep are here?

My dear grandson: The wolf is coming?

My dear grandson: Is it a sheep or a wolf? [Scratching head]

Zhizhi is Zhizhi: Your grandma is here.
