Chapter 61 Loneliness in a Foreign Land



He placed her on the sofa, stood up, and ruffled her hair.

He then glanced at the takeout food on the coffee table and frowned slightly.

"Haven't you eaten?"

Nan Zhi sniffed and said pitifully:

"It doesn't taste good."

Shen Xing sighed, "Wait."

After saying that, he went straight to the kitchen.

When Nanzhi saw him leave, she was puzzled for a moment, then she got off the floor, put on her slippers, and ran to the kitchen.

Shen Xingmian was putting on an apron.

When they saw the food Shen Xingmian took out of the refrigerator.

Nanzhi: "..."

Her eyes lit up. "How could that be? When was it installed?"

Shen Xingmian raised an eyebrow and glanced at her, saying calmly:

"This morning."

Nan Zhi finally understood; Shen Xingmian had arranged everything in advance.

Nanzhi was moved when she thought about how he had done all this without saying a word.

She walked into the kitchen and hugged him from behind.

He said it with a hint of joking:

"You're so good to me, what if I can't live without you in the future?"

Shen Xingmian's body stiffened for a moment, then she said nonchalantly:

"Then don't leave."

Nanzhi smiled and said, "Okay."

Shen Xingmian put down the dishes, turned around, and lowered his head to kiss her smooth forehead.

"Go on out, I'll be done in no time."

Nanzhi nodded blankly and left the kitchen.

Bored, Nanzhi curled up on the sofa and let her family know she was safe.

We chatted for quite a while.

Nan Zhi didn't hang up the video call until Shen Xingmian finished cooking.

Shen Xingmian carried all the dishes to the dining room, and Nan Zhi ran over there skipping and jumping.

Her eyes lit up when she smelled the fragrance.

"It's Kung Pao Chicken."

Then he quickly walked to the table, and sure enough, there was a dish of Kung Pao Chicken and a dish of hot and sour shredded potatoes.
