Chapter 15: Xunzi Enters Qin (Part 2)

"Sir, please speak. I am all ears."

"I, an old man, have observed the Qin Dynasty from the outside. I have seen that the power of the four generations of Qin has reached its peak. I believe that they should have restrained their power and practiced kindness. But today, I observe the Qin Dynasty from within, and I realize that their power has not yet reached its peak. They should use their power to sweep across the six kingdoms and become an emperor with unparalleled tyranny."

After Xunzi finished speaking, he stood up and bowed again: "Thank you, Your Majesty. May your Majesty live long."

After saying that, he was slowly pushed out and led out of the palace.

Ying Zichu appeared from somewhere at some point in time, and seemed to have been waiting by the side the entire time. Intimidated by the two men's power, he just watched and listened, not daring to speak a word.

Chen Xuan felt a headache when he saw the sick dragons on the heads of these two people. After these two people left, Ying Zheng might still not be able to rule the country and would have to be trapped under Lu Buwei. At that time, life would not be as happy as it is now.

However, that was not something that Chen Xuan could solve by just worrying about it. Firstly, he did not have the ability to change the fate of these two people; secondly, seeing that the two wanted to talk again, he lost interest; thirdly, he felt a burning sensation in the beast armor in his mind, so he flew back to Ying Zheng and watched them play.

King Xiaowen of Qin felt a sense of emptiness within him, as if something had left him. He looked at Ying Zichu, who had just appeared, and snorted coldly, "When did you come?"

"Your son came when my father was discussing your grandfather with Mr. Xunzi." Ying Zichu saw that King Xiaowen of Qin was in a bad mood and behaved more honestly than usual.

"Do you know what I want you to do?" King Xiaowen of Qin thought about Ying Zheng and did not vent his anger on Ying Zichu.

"I don't know, I can only guess that it is related to Mr. Xunzi just now." Ying Zichu felt relieved when he heard that King Xiaowen of Qin's tone softened a little.

"If you don't know, then you don't know. You guessed it right, but I don't want to talk about it now. You can leave now. I'm a little tired." King Xiaowen of Qin always disliked this son. It was not because he had no talent, but because he was regarded as a rare commodity by a businessman.

"Originally, I didn't want to say more. But I came to the palace today for something." Ying Zichu didn't want to leave, so he knelt down and was about to start speaking.

"What's the matter? Tell me first." King Xiaowen of Qin looked at his useless son.

"I have heard in Handan that many heroes and righteous men praised my father's name. Whenever I talk to him, I always miss his kindness. Now that my father has returned to the country for a long time, he hasn't even sent an envoy to express his condolences..."

When Ying Zichu said this, he looked up at King Xiaowen of Qin and saw that he looked normal before he continued,

"...I hadn't been worried at first, but today, when I saw Mr. Xunzi quietly enter Xianyang, I was startled. What if those heroes and righteous men, feeling that my father was unkind, and harbored resentment and sneaked into Xianyang? While it wouldn't be a big deal, if... if they were careless, it could easily lead to a serious mistake."

"Tell me what you want to do? Send troops to patrol Xianyang, or what else do you want to do?" King Xiaowen of Qin became interested.

"Your son dares to open Hangu Pass late and close early, making the time unpredictable, so as to prevent some people from coming to Qin." Ying Zichu looked up at King Xiaowen of Qin and said seriously.

"I didn't realize you had such a plan. Go ahead and do it. I'm a little tired." After saying that, King Xiaowen of Qin returned to his room and no longer paid attention to Ying Zichu.

Ying Zichu was not discouraged either. Hangu Pass was the first pass in Qin's territory. King Zhaoxiang of Qin used the pass to resist the joint attack of the six countries. Its military and political value is self-evident.

Now that King Xiaowen of Qin has allowed him to take charge of the affairs of Hangu Pass, that is, he is allowed to interfere in military affairs, which is no less significant than acting as the agent for state affairs!

PS

The Western Emperor refers to King Zhaoxiang of Qin. History records:

In the 19th year of King Zhaoxiang of Qin (288 BC), King Zhaoxiang of Qin, Ying Ji, proclaimed himself the Western Emperor and sent envoys to honor King Min of Qi, Tian Di, as the Eastern Emperor. The King of Qi, following his advisors' advice, relinquished his imperial title and rallied the other princes to attack Qin. King Zhaoxiang of Qin was forced to renounce his imperial title and resume his title of king.

This is actually quite shameful???

Finally, I found out the time when Xunzi entered Qin. He entered Qin during the reign of King Zhaoxiang of Qin. I won’t change the fact that he is illiterate, and it is impossible to change it for the sake of the plot.
