Chapter 156: Stormy

The State of Wei has become the second State of Han, but it is slightly more popular than Han.

King Jingmin of Wei frowned as he looked at the guards who had lost their human form. He asked, "Is this what you call assistance?"

Gongnu thought King Jingmin of Wei was amazed, so he said with some pride: "How is it? This force is stronger than ordinary soldiers. It can't be injured without luck, and it can't die without luck."

King Jingmin of Wei sneered, and with a surge of righteousness in his body, he pushed away the inhuman soldiers in front of him.

The weapon in the soldier's hand shattered like foam on the ground. When he looked again, he was already dead.

"Is this what you call prosperity? Ridiculous," King Jingmin of Wei sneered. "I finally understand why the Kingdom of Han fell."

"you……!"

Gongnu was speechless and could not say anything.

To be honest, the demise of South Korea was really related to them. If they hadn't run into Bai Qi, they might have really been a tough nut to crack. Now, they are just like a chicken and a dog.

The sword looked at King Wei Jingmin and hummed, "Do you really think so?"

King Jingmin of Wei glanced at him without replying, but just sneered and was about to walk away.

He also made up his mind to protect the bow, crossbow and sword and not let these two things bring harm to the State of Wei.

Jian did not try to stop him, nor did he speak again. King Jingmin of Wei's actions had already made his attitude clear.

Gongnu looked at the receding figure of King Jingmin of Wei and said viciously, "How about we go somewhere else? There's nothing to be hopeful about in the Kingdom of Wei."

"Let's wait and see. If Wei is strong, then it's okay to be a little wronged. If it's not strong, then we can hesitate and go directly to Qi."

The sword hummed and sheathed itself and hung on the wall.

Gongnu also understood the sword's intention. He didn't want to ask more questions, but he was still a little worried: "With the power of Qi, how can there be room for you and me?"

The sword seemed to have fallen asleep, and there was no movement in the scabbard. There was no need to say much about the bow and crossbow, so they were hung up as well.

After all, King Jingmin of Wei doesn't like them now, so they have to be more obedient.

In the end, he would have to flee to Qi State and must not let things get stalemate with Wei State, otherwise he would probably have no choice but to flee to Qin State.

But considering the current situation of Qin State, it should not be able to take the so-called prisoners.

King Jingmin of Wei went to the court alone. There were no ministers from Wei attending the court today. There were only Hou Sheng and Qu Zheng who had just come from Zhao.

"I'm sorry to have kept the two envoys waiting for a long time. I would like to apologize in advance." King Jingmin of Wei was not arrogant. Now that he had something to ask of them, he had to be humble.

There was nothing wrong with Hou Sheng, after all, he was the face of Qi State and was worthy of the courtesy of King Jingmin of Wei.

But Qu Zheng naturally wouldn't accept it, and quickly moved aside, respectfully returning the greeting, "Your Majesty, you are too polite."

King Jingmin of Wei glanced at Hou Sheng, then smiled and said to him and Qu Zheng, "Would you two envoys go in and sit down? There's no point in discussing this outside the palace."

Naturally, the two would not refuse. When the three of them entered the court hall, maids had already prepared food for them.

After they sat down, King Jingmin of Wei smiled and said to Qu Zheng, "I wonder if the King of Zhao sent an envoy here to discuss the possibility of an alliance?"

Qu Zheng had just sat down when he straightened up and replied, "My king heard that Qin had broken the treaty, secretly invaded Han, and even had intentions of plotting against other countries. Therefore, he sent foreign ministers to Wei to discuss the possibility of an alliance."

King Jingmin of Wei nodded and said gently, "Your Excellency is too polite. There is no need to be so reserved. Relax a little."

Qu Zheng felt bitter. This was not something that could be relaxed just by wanting it.

In the entire court, he was probably the only one without luck, just an ordinary person.

"Since Your Majesty has spoken so, I will no longer be polite." Qu Zheng slowly adjusted himself and said seriously, "My State of Zhao can provide 10,000 Zhao cavalry archers to help Wei resist the invasion of the tyrannical Qin."

King Jingmin of Wei's eyes flickered, and he began to play with his things again. After a while, he asked, "Which pile of Zhao cavalry archers are you talking about? Which pile of bones are they?"

King Jingmin of Wei hesitated for a moment before finding the group of guards who were protecting Qu Zheng.

The guard did have a unique kind of power, at least much stronger than those with bows, crossbows and swords.

Although it was not much different from what he had in mind, he still hoped that Zhao would be stronger. But for now, it was enough. After all, there was Qi State backing them up, so they wouldn't be too weak.

Qu Zheng knew that these ten thousand soldiers did sound a little few, but how could the Zhao cavalry archers be ordinary soldiers?

Judging from King Jingmin of Wei's expression and the questions he asked, it was clear that he had probably seen the extraordinary nature of the Zhao cavalry archers.

"Of course it's what the foreign ministers brought with them." Qu Zheng naturally agreed, but fearing that King Jingmin of Wei would see clearly, he explained, "Your Majesty, don't think those soldiers are weak. Not a single one of them is a skilled fighter who can defeat a hundred."

To say that they could defeat a hundred with one is probably an understatement. For those Zhao cavalry archers, they could probably tear apart ordinary people who outnumbered them by several times without suffering any damage at all.

King Jingmin of Wei was also satisfied. Compared with Hou Sheng, he felt more comfortable with envoys like Qu Zheng.

Even though Qi is a powerful country and even though it needs help from others, the etiquette system in its mind still makes him feel a little uncomfortable.

"In that case, I will trouble you to return and tell the King of Wei that he has no objection."

What King Jingmin of Wei said was that he had no objection to Zhao State stationing troops in Wei. Although this kind of thing was not very pleasant, it was still better than destroying the country.
