Chapter 18 This is the Queen's Position

Her knuckles were red from the exertion.

Yan'er, who was beside her, looked at Gu Yanrou like this and even breathed much lighter, for fear that Gu Yanrou would vent her anger.

Gu Yanrou couldn't hold it in any longer, she covered her ears with both hands and shouted, "I'm so fed up with this bitch! How can she be better than me!"

Yan'er timidly whispered, "Your Majesty, please calm down."

"That bitch Gu Yanyue!"

Gu Yanrou put her hands down fiercely, frowned, lifted the curtain of the car window, and stared angrily at the carriage where Gu Yanyue and Yu Wenran were.

As if trying to see through the curtains.

"Your Majesty, we'll be arriving at the Prime Minister's Residence soon. Please be patient. Once we get there, they won't be able to do this anymore."

Upon hearing this, Gu Yanrou thought for a moment, glared at their carriage, and then lowered the curtain.

"Let Gu Yanyue be arrogant for a while. When we get to the Prime Minister's Mansion, I'll see what you do!"

A moment.

Gu Yanyue lifted the curtain from a distance and saw that Prime Minister Gu and Madam Qin were already waiting at the gate with a group of maids and guards.

Soon they arrived at the gate of the Prime Minister's Mansion.

Gu Yanrou was the first to lift the curtain of the carriage. As soon as she lifted the curtain, she looked out. Before she got out of the carriage, she shouted happily, "Daddy, Mommy!"

Mrs. Qin responded from a distance, then hurried over and held Gu Yanrou's hand as she was getting out of the car.

As soon as Gu Yanrou got off the carriage, she threw herself into Madam Qin's arms, rubbed her head against her neck, and said coquettishly, "Mother, Rou'er misses you so much."

Madam Qin also smiled, patted Gu Yanrou's back, and responded softly, "I miss my Rou'er too."

Gu Yanrou looked up and saw her father smiling at her not far away.

Smiling, she let go of Madam Qin and gracefully walked towards Prime Minister Gu. She bowed slightly and said softly, "My daughter greets you, father."

Prime Minister Gu responded majestically and helped Gu Yanrou up with a smile.

He rubbed the top of her head again.

Gu Yanrou smiled, and her beautiful almond-shaped eyes narrowed into slits.

Then Yuwen Ran and Gu Yanyue got off the carriage together.

Prime Minister Gu and Madam Qin led all the servants in kneeling down and paying their respects.

Prime Minister Gu and Madam Qin bowed and said, "Your humble servant greets the Emperor and the Empress."

The maidservants and guards behind said, "Greetings to the Emperor and the Empress."

From his words, it turned out that he didn't regard Gu Yanyue as his daughter at all.

Yu Wenran was not surprised. He waved his hand, stepped forward to help Prime Minister Gu up and said, "Everyone, please stand up."

Everyone stood up.

Prime Minister Gu smiled and said, "Your Majesty's visit to my humble residence truly brings honor to it."

Yuwen Ran also smiled politely and said, "Your Excellency Gu, you are too kind. This is the truly magnificent place."

Prime Minister Gu laughed and waved his hands, saying, "No, no, it's just a small decoration. It's not as good as your Majesty's."

He said to Madam Qin, "Madam, go and ask someone to prepare tea."

Madam Qin responded, bowed slightly to Yuwen Ran, and went into the house to prepare.

Prime Minister Gu waved his hand, turned sideways, and said to Yuwen Ran with a smile, "Then, Your Majesty, please come in?"

Gu Yanrou also came over, took Yu Wenran's hand and said with a smile: "Let's go in, Your Majesty."

After Prime Minister Gu finished speaking, he walked in front to lead the way for Yuwen Ran, while Gu Yanrou took Yuwen Ran's arm and walked inside.

Yu Wenran frowned and turned back to look at Gu Yanyue who was standing there, not being taken seriously and not taking a single step forward.

Just as he was about to speak, he was stopped by Gu Yanyue's look.

Gu Yanyue signaled Yuwen Ran to follow them in first and she would follow.

This was the first time she met Prime Minister Gu, her nominal father.

She had just been observing him silently.

In the original owner's memory, Prime Minister Gu had always been a strict father who was never willing to smile at her.

Just now when Prime Minister Gu walked towards Yuwen Ran, she saw Prime Minister Gu glanced at her coldly but did not mention her at all.

As the legitimate daughter of the Prime Minister's Mansion, Gu Yanrou has been eloquent since childhood and likes to act coquettishly in front of her parents. The original owner silently accepted everything arranged by Prime Minister Gu and always lived the life that Prime Minister Gu wrote for her in an orderly manner.

Until she mustered up the courage to propose to marry Yuwen Ran.

But she didn't know at that time that this only courage in her life would bring about her death.

Thinking of this, Gu Yanyue felt sorry for the original owner again. He was obviously a good child, but he suffered all this.

She shook her head and told herself not to think about it anymore.

So he walked into the mansion.

In the blink of an eye, it was time for the dinner.

Yuwen Ran was surrounded by Prime Minister Gu and sat down in the main seat.

Prime Minister Gu sat on the lower seat to his right.

Yu Wenran searched around for a figure, wondering why A Yue hadn't come yet?

Gu Yanrou, wearing a bright yellow chiffon dress, walked gracefully to Yu Wenran.

Her large almond-shaped eyes blinked, and she looked at Yu Wenran playfully and said, "Your Majesty, I am late."

Yuwen Ran glanced at her and said casually, "No, my beloved, please take a seat." After that, he continued to search the hall with his eyes.

Unexpectedly, Gu Yanrou walked straight to the position beside him.

Yu Wenran frowned slightly and looked up at her, saying in a deep voice, "Noble Concubine Rou, your place is not here, right?"

Gu Yanrou pretended not to understand, blinked her eyes, and said innocently, "I just want to sit closer to Your Majesty."

Yuwen Ran no longer looked at her: "The seat next to me is for the Queen, Concubine Rou should sit in your own seat and don't overstep the boundaries."

Gu Yanrou pouted her cherry lips and muttered, "What?"

Then he reluctantly walked to Yu Wenran's right and sat down.

Gu Yanyue arrived late just when the dinner was about to begin.

She walked to the center of the hall, bowed slightly and said, "I am late."

Yu Wenran asked with a hint of dissatisfaction: "Why did the Queen come so late?"

Hearing this, Gu Yanyue chuckled softly and smiled as she looked towards Gu Yanrou, who was not far away and had her head down, not looking at her, but only concentrating on drinking tea. She said, "It was Concubine Rou's sister's maid who accidentally soiled my dress. I went back to my residence and changed, which is why I'm late."

Gu Yanrou coughed lightly, stood up and said with a fake smile: "I am so sorry, Your Majesty, my maid is really clumsy. I will discipline her when I get back."

Gu Yanyue smiled and responded, "Then my sister really needs to be disciplined. This time she soiled my clothes. If she hurts someone next time, it will be bad."

Gu Yanrou laughed dryly, "Yes, Queen."

Yuwen Ran said, "Queen, please take a seat."

Gu Yanyue responded with a smile, walked up to Yu Wenran and sat down.

Yuwen Ran then said loudly: "I declare that the dinner banquet officially begins."

Suddenly, singing and dancing began. The singers walked to the side holding the guqin, and the dancers danced with lotus steps and swaying grace.

The chefs in the Prime Minister's Mansion also began to serve the dishes.

Gu Yanrou looked at the food on the table, most of which were her favorites. She looked at Mrs. Qin in surprise.

Mrs. Qin smiled slightly and nodded to her.
