Chapter 21: Defilement

The long corridor was not illuminated by any moonlight, and the dim firelight swayed left and right in the wind.

It was eerily quiet.

Gu Yanrou dragged the unconscious Gu Yanyue on the ground and walked in the corridor in a swagger.

Occasionally, the maids and guards passing by would just bow to Gu Yanrou, ignore Gu Yanyue who was being dragged by Gu Yanrou, and walk away as if they didn't see anything.

After all, from childhood to adulthood, in the Prime Minister's Mansion, no one would care what Gu Yanrou wanted to do to Gu Yanyue.

Gu Yanrou dragged Gu Yanyue to the woodshed.

She kicked open the wooden door of the woodshed and dragged Gu Yanyue in. Then she waved her bare hands in front of her nose in disgust, clearing away some of the visible dust in the air.

The dim woodshed was covered with dust and the beams were covered with cobwebs.

Gu Yanrou threw Gu Yanyue to the ground and went to the door again.

At this moment, a guard appeared at the door.

Gu Yanrou glanced at the guard and said coldly, "Do it quickly."

The guard rubbed his hands and looked into the woodshed expectantly, but he couldn't see anything because of the darkness inside.

Then the guard grinned, revealing his yellow teeth, and replied, "Don't worry, don't worry."

Gu Yanrou couldn't bear to look at it, so she turned her eyes away. She pursed her lips impatiently and waved her hand, urging, "Go in."

The guard raised his voice in response.

Gu Yanyue fell to the ground and rolled twice, hitting her head against the wall.

She slowly opened her eyes in pain, only to find herself locked in a dark little woodshed.

Suddenly the original owner's memories of this place flooded into her mind.

It was the constant beatings. Every time Gu Yanrou was a child, she would be brought here to play "happily" with her friends and Gu Yanyue.

She was subconsciously afraid of this place.

The guard who was coming in from the door appeared in her eyes, and his figure slowly became clear.

Gu Yanyue had a bad feeling. She coldly asked the guard, "Where are you? Who sent you here?"

The guard smiled obscenely, slowly approached Gu Yanyue, and said with a smile: "This? This will soon be your paradise, young lady."

Gu Yanyue was slowly forced back to the corner. She shouted angrily, "How dare you! Do you know who I am?!"

She looked at the guard, secretly clenched her fists, and found that she was indeed very weak.

Gu Yanyue pretended to be calm as she squatted down and felt around on the ground, and unexpectedly she touched a piece of iron.

She scratched her arm hard with the iron sheet.

He looked up at the guard coldly.

The guard smiled lewdly and was about to touch her, saying, "I just know that your mouth will soon lose its erection."

Gu Yanyue immediately grasped the iron sheet and stabbed it hard into the vulnerable part of the guard's knee joint. Immediately, blood soaked the guard's trouser legs.

The guard was stabbed and took two steps back in pain, covering his knees with his hands and screaming, "Ah!"

Gu Yanyue stood in the corner holding the iron piece tightly, looking vigilantly at the guard who was screaming in pain not far away.

Blood dripped down Gu Yanyue's slender white arm and onto the ground.

In order to stay awake, she stabbed herself with the same force as when she stabbed the guard.

Her behavior completely infuriated the guards.

The guard stepped forward viciously. Gu Yanyue was about to swing the iron sheet to protect herself, but the next second the iron sheet was knocked away by the guard.

She stared blankly at the flying iron piece.

Before he could react, he was slapped hard in the face.

Gu Yanyue was slapped to the ground.

Her weak limbs after taking the Chinese medicine were shaking on the ground.

I heard the guards yell, "You bitch!"

Gu Yanyue moved her weak fingers, and in this dim woodshed, she closed her eyes in despair, her brain no longer receiving any information from the outside world.

On the other side, Yu Wen Ran had not waited for Gu Yanyue. As soon as he went out, he met Gu Yanyue's maid Liu Mei who hurried to his door.

Liu Mei hurriedly knelt down and saluted: "Your servant Liu Mei pays homage to Your Majesty."

Yu Wenran frowned and asked her to stand up, then asked, "I was just looking for your queen, why didn't she come over?"

Upon hearing this, Liu Mei mustered up the courage to look up at Yu Wen Ran. Tears welled up in her large eyes as she said to him, "I don't know either. The Madam has not returned since she entered the kitchen."

"I was puzzled and went to the kitchen to look for the queen, but I only saw a broken bowl on the floor. I searched the entire area but couldn't find her."

"I have no other options, so I have come to Your Majesty without permission. Please forgive me, Your Majesty."

Upon hearing this, Yu Wenran's face suddenly darkened and he strode towards the kitchen.

After a while, he arrived at the kitchen door and saw the broken jade bowl and steaming chicken soup on the ground.

Yu Wenran's dark pupils constricted, and his face seemed to be covered with gloom. He clenched his hands, turned around and was about to look for Gu Yanyue.

Just as he turned around and was about to leave, a clear female voice called him.

"Your Majesty, what are you doing here so late at night?"

Upon hearing the voice, Yu Wenran turned around and stared at Gu Yanrou who suddenly appeared.

He looked at Gu Yanrou, who was walking towards him with an innocent look on her face, and tried to suppress his anger and asked in a deep voice, "Where is Gu Yanyue?"

Gu Yanrou was frightened by Yu Wenran's gloomy face and the low pressure around him.

But she still mustered up her courage and boldly approached Yuwen Ran, smiling apologetically: "Sister just hurriedly told me that she was leaving the palace, and then left. I am also looking for you."

Gu Yanrou looked at Yuwen Ran tentatively. Seeing that he didn't react, she boldly approached him, took his arm, looked up at him, and said softly, "Your Majesty, let's go out together to look for my sister. It's late at night, and it's too dangerous for my sister to be outside alone."

Yu Wenran lowered his eyes expressionlessly, looking at Gu Yanrou who was holding his arm and smiling, asking him to leave the palace with her to find Gu Yanyue.

He said coldly, "Ayue will not leave the palace alone without my knowledge."

Gu Yanrou froze in place, jealousy rising in her heart again.

Why is Yuwen Ran so sure?

Are the two of them close enough to trust each other so much?

She took a deep breath, forced a smile and comforted herself, "It's okay, it's okay. Gu Yanyue will soon no longer be worthy of standing in front of Yuwen Ran. Yuwen Ran will definitely be hers."

She pulled the corners of her mouth, forced a smile, and was about to say something.

A long sword suddenly flashed with a cold light and was placed across her neck.

Gu Yanrou was so frightened that she dared not move. She looked tremblingly at the person holding the long sword, Yuwen Ran.

Yu Wenran had a gloomy face, and exerted force on his hand, bringing the sword closer to Gu Yanrou's aorta. He said coldly, "Take me to find Ah Yue."

Gu Yanrou closed her eyes tightly, gritted her teeth and said cruelly: "I don't know!"

Yu Wenran's eyes were burning with anger, and the sword tip cut a gash on Gu Yanrou's snow-white, slender neck.

Gu Yanrou felt a sudden sharp pain in her neck and subconsciously touched it with her hand. She put her hand down and stared blankly at the conspicuous bloodstain on her palm.

Yu Wenran's cold and ruthless voice came from a distance: "If you don't want to die, tell me where A Yue is!"

It was like a sound from hell.

Gu Yanrou was so frightened that her almond-shaped eyes were filled with tears.
