Chapter 25: One tael of silver a day is simply not enough to spend!

The brown rice and rice they bought were placed in the room where Wang and Old Man Zhang slept. Zhang Hulan was worried that Ding Chunhua might come to take them, so it was better to put them in the grain room to be more reassuring.

Zhang Hujun carried the bag of brown rice, and Zhang Xiaojun carried the bag of rice, one bag each for the father and son.

Zhang Hubing and Xiang were both shocked. Are these two bags full of grain?

They haven't been home these days, how come there is so much food stored at home?

Xiang Chunhua asked, "Mom, what about the food?"

Wang glared at them and said, "Those grains were bought by Danier, don't even think about taking them."

Zhang Hujun and Zhang Xiaojun moved the grain back to their own house, and Zhang Dahahua also moved away the kudzu roots that her family and Zhang Hulan and the others had shared.

Now in the hearts of Zhang Dahua and Zhang Xiaojun, they would rather live with their aunt's family than with their uncle's family.

Zhang Hubing asked again: "Mom, those grains..."

"It has nothing to do with you." Wang also had a bad look on her face.

Zhang Hubing was frustrated, and then he said to Zhang Hulan: "Hey, I'll go with you tomorrow."

Zhang Hulan was so angry that she laughed.

In the original body's memory, this Zhang Hubing was not a vengeful person. After you beat him, he would come to talk to you soon.

Sometimes the original body would beat him until he cried, but he would stop crying immediately by stuffing something in his mouth.

Zhang Hulan glanced at Zhang Hubing and felt that this man should not be a bad person by nature, and the problem was probably with his wife.

But now, no matter what Zhang Hubing does, Zhang Hulan is not going to pay any attention to him unless he changes his temper.

If she could change, she would still treat Zhang Hubing as her younger brother in the future. If she couldn't change, then she wouldn't care about the life and death of Zhang Hubing and his wife.

Li said, "Dad, Mom, let's eat first."

Zhang Hulan also hurriedly said, "Yes, let's eat first. I'm already hungry."

Zhang Dahahua, Daya and the others quickly brought in the meal.

Zhang Dahua whispered, "Mom, I didn't know my uncle and the others were coming back, so there wasn't enough food."

Zhang Hulan said, "Let's eat our own food and let them cook for themselves."

Wang opened her mouth to speak, but in the end said nothing. She handed the bowl of rice to Old Man Zhang, then took her own bowl and started eating.

Zhang Hulan also picked up the bowl to eat, "Brother, sister-in-law, eat quickly."

Everyone started eating, leaving Zhang Hubing and his family of three to watch.

Wang looked at Zhang Xiaobing and shouted, "Come here, Xiaobing."

Zhang Xiaobing walked forward, and Wang asked Zhang Dahua to bring a bowl, and then she gave half of the rice in her bowl to Zhang Xiaobing.

"Okay, mother, eat it yourself." Zhang Hulan said, and poured some more food from her own bowl to Wang.

Then the rest of the people took out some of the rice from their bowls, leaving most of the bowl for Zhang Xiaobing.

Zhang Hubing and his wife can be ignored, but Zhang Xiaobing is still a child.

Zhang Xiaobing was only seven years old, and Zhang Hulan was not going to get angry with a child.

Zhang Xiaobing glanced at his parents, and Wang said, "What are you looking at? Eat your own food."

Zhang Xiaobing turned around and started eating.

Xiang Chunhua was so angry that tears welled up in her eyes again. Zhang Hubing immediately said, "It's okay, wife. Let's cook it ourselves."

There is no rice in the pot, what else can I do? I can only cook it myself.

The couple went to the kitchen to cook their own meal, while everyone in the room was slurping porridge.

Zhang Xiaobing picked up a piece of kudzu root from the bowl and asked, "Grandma, what is this?"

"This is Pueraria root. Your aunt found it in the mountains. Try it. It's delicious."

Zhang Xiaobing took a bite and said, "Mm, it's quite delicious."

Wang asked, "Xiaobing, go to your grandmother's house. What delicious food did she cook for you?"

Zhang Xiaobing said: "There is nothing good to eat. My grandmother cooked rice porridge, but she didn't give it to me. She gave it all to my uncle and cousin."

Zhang Xiaobing then gestured with his hands and said, "A few days ago, grandma bought such a big piece of meat, but I didn't get to eat it."

Wang was so angry that her chest hurt again, "This second son is just a fool..."

Zhang Hulan fanned the flames, "That's right, it's just stupid. He doesn't even give his own meat to his son, and yet he rushes to work for them. What else can this be but stupid?"

Zhang Hulan glanced at Zhang Xiaobing and said, "Call me aunt, and I'll buy you some meat tomorrow."

Zhang Xiaobing glanced at Zhang Hulan, but didn't shout. He lowered his head and continued to eat the rice in his bowl.

Yo? You're pretty strong, I can't seduce you?

Wait until I buy some meat tomorrow and see if you’re still tough?

By the time Zhang Hubing and his wife finished cooking, everyone here had already finished eating.

Zhang Hulan also didn't forget about the herbs from Old Man Zhang. She wouldn't be there tomorrow, and she didn't know if she could find those herbs on other mountains. So she brought back some more when she was in the mountains today.

After Zhang Hujun replaced Old Man Zhang's medicine, they each washed up and went to bed.

Zhang Hulan, her mother and her daughter slept on the floor. Li said, "Big sister, how about you guys sleep on the bed, and Dahua and I will sleep on the floor?"

"Oh, sister-in-law, don't be so polite. It's tiring to get along with you like this. Let's be casual. We are all family. Don't be pretentious."

Li smiled and said, "Well, I won't be polite to you anymore."

Zhang Hulan smiled and said, "That's right, be more casual, so that everyone can feel comfortable."

Zhang Hulan then whispered, "Oh, sister-in-law, mom forgot to divide the kudzu roots that were buried in the pit. Don't mention it."

Li blinked, then said a little embarrassedly, "Actually, I didn't want to mention it."

Zhang Dahua said, "This was dug up by my father and aunt with great effort. It shouldn't have been shared with my uncle and his family."
