Chapter 4 I Know I'm Wrong

Zhang Hulan suddenly said in her heart, "Is it you? Do you want to go see your parents?"

No one responded, but Zhang Hulan felt that the original body must not have left yet. She couldn't let go of her three children and must have felt guilty towards her parents.

Zhang Hujun entered the yard, and Zhang Hulan stepped aside to make way for Li, Zhang Dahahua, and Zhang Xiaojun.

Li didn't tell Zhang Hulan to come into the house, and she took Zhang Dahahua and Zhang Xiaojun into the yard.

Zhang Hulan stood outside the courtyard gate somewhat awkwardly. She was thinking, if things didn't work out, she would just take the three children away. With her around, the three children would not starve to death.

Zhang Hujun came into the house and shouted, "Dad, Mom, my eldest sister is back."

Wang paused and asked, "What is she doing here?"

Old man Zhang yelled, "Tell her to get out. I don't have a daughter."

Zhang Hujun entered the room and whispered, "Dad, Mom, my eldest sister must have been standing outside with the three children for a long time. She has a wound on her head."

Wang was stunned. "How did you get hurt? How badly?"

Zhang Hujun shook his head, "I don't know either. You should go and have a look."

When Old Man Zhang heard that Zhang Hulan was injured, he no longer shouted at Zhang Hulan to get out, but just closed his eyes and said nothing.

Outside the courtyard gate, San Ya looked up at Zhang Hulan and whispered, "Mom, does uncle dislike us? Can't we stay at grandma's house?"

Zhang Hulan smiled and touched Sanya's head, then said, "It's okay, Mom will take you somewhere else."

As Zhang Hulan turned around and left with her three children, Wang arrived at the gate of the courtyard.

Seeing the mother and daughter turn around and leave, Wang felt both angry and distressed.

Wang said, "Where are you going?"

Zhang Hulan turned around and saw the white-haired old lady standing at the door, and her heart ached inexplicably.

"Mom..." Zhang Hulan shouted.

The three girls immediately followed suit and shouted, "Grandma!"

Wang had a blank expression on her face. She stared at Zhang Hulan's head and asked, "Did Chen Dalang beat you?"

Then Wang added, "You deserve it!"

Zhang Hulan said nothing. The original body really deserved it. She must have made her parents very angry back then.

Zhang Hujun said, "Mom, let's let my eldest sister come in first."

Wang turned around and walked away. After walking a few steps, she saw Zhang Hulan still outside and asked, "Why, do you want me to invite you in or something?"

After saying that, he turned and went into the house.

Zhang Hulan led Daya and the other two into the yard, and then followed them into the house.

Walking to Old Man Zhang's bed, Zhang Hulan called out, "Dad!"

Old man Zhang closed his eyes and did not respond.

The sadness became more intense, and Zhang Hulan said in her heart: "Go with peace of mind. You don't have to worry about your parents and children. I will take good care of them for you."

After saying this in her heart, Zhang Hulan felt a breeze caressing her forehead. She shivered and got goose bumps all over her body.

Wang said, "Tell me, what's going on?"

Zhang Hulan took a deep breath and decided to stay, even if it meant being shameless.

It is not only to give the three children a place to stay, but also to help the original body's family. Now this is also her family's family, isn't it?

So Zhang Hulan said, "Dad, Mom, Chen Dalang and I have divorced. I took Daya and the other two and left the Chen family."

Zhang Hulan's words surprised both Wang and Zhang Hujun.

Zhang Hujun asked: "Big sister, was the wound on your head caused by Chen Dalang?"

Zhang Hulan shook her head and told the story again.

Old man Zhang opened his eyes and looked at Zhang Hulan. "Is it a divorce or not? Did Chen Dalang also write a letter of severance of ties with Daya and the other three?"

Zhang Hulan nodded, "Yes, Dad!"

Wang asked, "How could they agree to this?"

San Ya said, "Grandma, my mother held my second uncle's son hostage with a knife and forced my father to write it."

Zhang Hulan corrected him immediately, "San Ya, that's not your second uncle. Chen Dalang is not your father now. You don't have a father anymore, do you know that? I will change your surname to Zhang, and from now on, we will have no relationship with the Chen family."

"Oh, I understand, mom."

Wang was very surprised to hear Zhang Hulan's words. She didn't expect Zhang Hulan to be so decisive this time.

Old Man Zhang was surprised for a moment, then snorted, "Humph, if you had listened to advice, you wouldn't have ended up like this."

Zhang Hulan took out the divorce letter and the severance letter and showed them to Old Man Zhang and Wang, saying, "Dad, Mom, my child and I have nowhere to go now, so I want to come back and stay with you for a while."

Zhang Hulan then looked at Zhang Hujun and Li and said, "Brother, sister-in-law, don't worry, I'm not eating for nothing. I brought four mouths back and I can do the work of four people."

"We are all family, why are you saying this?" However, Zhang Hujun was also a little angry and said, "I have long said that Chen Dalang is not a good guy, but you just didn't listen. Now you know that your parents were doing it for your own good."

Zhang Hulan admitted her mistake with a positive attitude, "Brother, I know I was wrong. I failed my parents' kindness back then. I was young and ignorant. I won't do that again in the future."

Wang and Zhang Hujun both looked at Old Man Zhang, but he didn't nod, and no one dared to ask Zhang Hulan to stay.

Old man Zhang said, "Do you really know you are wrong?"

“I really understand.”

Old man Zhang nodded. "Since you know you are wrong, then stay. But I have to say one thing first. If you look for it later, you must get approval from me and your mother."

Zhang Hulan said quickly, "Dad, I won't look for anyone or marry anyone in the future. I owe you too much, so I will stay at home and take care of you two."

"What nonsense are you talking about?" Wang said, "You are not even thirty yet. If you don't find a partner, how are you going to live in the future?"

"Daya and the others will also get married in the future. What will you do when you are old? Are you going to follow Daya and the others to their in-laws' house?"

Zhang Hulan said: "I can recruit a live-in son-in-law."

"A live-in son-in-law? Do you really dare to think about it? The families that can recruit a son-in-law are all wealthy families. What do you have? Why should he marry into your family?"

"Just because I just because I have money now doesn't mean I won't have money in the future. I'm worried about Daya and the others marrying far away, so they have to stay with me."

Wang was annoyed, "Now you know how to feel sorry for your daughter?"

"Mom, I've apologized. I won't make you and Dad angry again."

Both Mr. Zhang and Mrs. Wang felt that their daughter had changed a lot compared to before. Time and marriage can change a person. They hadn't seen their daughter for several years and didn't expect that she had changed so much.

But things were changing for the better, which made the old couple feel relieved.

Old man Zhang said, "People need to get married, but there is no rush. We must be careful this time."

Old man Zhang didn't want to push his daughter too hard. Now that she had left the Chen family, she had nowhere to go, so she decided to stay there first.

As long as you don't force yourself to get married now, there will be plenty of ways to shut up the two old people in the future.

Zhang Hulan looked at the medicine bowl on the stool beside the bed, picked it up and handed it to Old Man Zhang, "Dad, drink the medicine. If you don't drink it, wouldn't the money be wasted?"

That’s true. If you don’t drink it, wouldn’t the money be wasted?

Old man Zhang sighed, but finally drank the medicine.
