Dragon Boat Festival Extra

Once everything was ready, Shu Lan skillfully began wrapping the zongzi. Qin An assisted her, handling various small tasks.

In the evening, Shu Lan had to go out for an unexpected reason.

Looking at the mountain of zongzi (sticky rice dumplings), Qin An felt very satisfied. "I wonder what these zongzi taste like?" Qin An thought, swallowing hard.

Just then, the God of Books came to visit.

"Wow, you've made quite a few zongzi! I'll have a skewer." As soon as the Book God entered the door, he saw the pile of zongzi and couldn't help but feel a little tempted, wanting to take a skewer back and steam it to eat.

"No, this was made by my master! I can't give it to you!" Qin An stood protectively in front of the pile of rice dumplings, preventing the Book God from taking them.

The Book God flicked his finger and chanted a spell.

Suddenly, Qin An's body changed drastically, turning into a miniature person the size of an insect. He fell into the pile of glutinous rice and couldn't climb out.

"Tch, you little punk, trying to mess with me!" The Book God said as he quickly grabbed a string of rice dumplings.

"You, you're despicable, you're shameless!" Qin An was completely bewildered by the Book God's actions and was instantly enraged. Unfortunately, his current size was too small, making it impossible for him to retaliate.

"Hahaha, you'd better just wait until the spell wears off tonight!" The Book God laughed loudly as he walked away.

Qin An struggled back and forth in the pile of glutinous rice, trying to climb up to the edge of the basin, but it was all in vain; he simply couldn't climb up.

An hour later, Shu Lan returned.

Qin An opened his mouth to call out, "Master... um..."

But then Shu Lan scooped up a spoonful of glutinous rice and started stuffing it into the bamboo leaf. Unfortunately, Qin An happened to be in that spoonful of rice.

After Shu Lan filled the rice with glutinous rice, she wrapped the rice dumpling in bamboo leaves. Before Qin An could even climb out, he was already inside the dumpling.

After wrapping several zongzi, Shu Lan looked around. "Huh? Where did Xiao An go?"

However, Shu Lan didn't take it to heart, assuming that Qin An had just gone out to play.

After wrapping all the zongzi, Shu Lan put them into the steamer. He lit a fire on the stove and began steaming the zongzi.

Qin An was suffering terribly inside the zongzi. "Ah! It's so hot!" Qin An kept wiping the sweat from his head with his hands while inside the zongzi, his little face was flushed from the heat.

Finally, all the rice dumplings were cooked. Shu Lan turned off the fire, picked up a few dumplings, and began to enjoy them.

Qin An felt the rice dumpling he was in momentarily suspended in mid-air, and he knew that his master had probably chosen it and was about to eat it.

Qin An immediately became excited; he had been inside this zongzi for so long and couldn't stand it anymore.

Qin An waited and waited, but his master brother still didn't eat the zongzi.

He propped his chin up, somewhat bored. "Sigh! When is Master Brother going to eat me?"

Finally, the rice dumpling that Qin An was in was suspended in mid-air once again.

Shu Lan peeled off the bamboo leaves and was about to take a bite when she noticed something wriggling on the rice dumpling, and then a small thing suddenly emerged.

Shu Lan was startled and was about to throw the rice dumpling away.

Qin An quickly called out, "Master Brother, it's me, Xiao An!"

Shu Lan heard Qin An's voice and quickly brought the zongzi to her eyes. Upon closer inspection, she realized that it was none other than a mini version of Qin An.

Shu Lan looked at the miniature Qin An, his little face flushed, looking incredibly delicate. He couldn't resist poking Qin An's cheek with his finger; he was just too cute! Shu Lan's eyes sparkled, and he mentally scrolled through those words over and over.

Qin An was a little confused after Shu Lan poked his cheek. He looked at Shu Lan with a puzzled expression and said, "Brother Shizun..." His tone was full of resentment.

"Cough cough cough." Shu Lan quickly covered her mouth with her hand and coughed a few times to hide her excitement.

"Tell me, Xiao An, how did you end up like this?" Only then did Shu Lan ask Qin An what had happened.

Qin An angrily cursed, "It's all that Book God's doing..." Then, he told his master brother everything that had happened during the day.

Looking at the miniature Qin An's angry little face, Shu Lan couldn't help but chuckle: "Alright, alright! If he wants it, just give him a string of them. Why make a fuss?"

"But these zongzi were all made by my master!" Qin An pouted and muttered softly.

Looking at Qin An's pouting face, Shu Lan found him even cuter and couldn't help but give him a quick kiss on the cheek.

Qin An was stunned after being kissed, and then his face turned bright red instantly.

"Master brother, you..." Just then, Qin An's figure suddenly grew larger until it returned to its original size.

"Huh? Didn't the Book God say it wouldn't turn back to its original form until very late? Why has it turned back now?" Qin An was puzzled. Suddenly, a possibility occurred to him, "Could it be..."

Qin An quickly looked at Shu Lan, only to find that the roles seemed to have been reversed, and Shu Lan's face was now flushed. Clearly, he had remembered the "good deed" he had just done.

"Hehe!" Qin An laughed happily and walked towards Shu Lan: "Brother Shizun, give me another kiss!"

Shu Lan shook her head vigorously, her face turning even redder.

"No, no! Just one more kiss!" Qin An said, taking one step forward while Shu Lan took one step back.

"Master brother, if you won't kiss me, then I'll do it myself!" Suddenly, Qin An lunged at Shu Lan...
