Chapter 31 Cleaning Up the Worms

"He harmed his fellow disciples and attempted to kill other disciples from the same cohort who were participating in the secret realm."

"Such a thing has happened!" Venerable Lieyang's expression immediately turned serious. "Is there any evidence?"

"Yes." Shu Lan took out a recording stone from her storage space and handed it to Venerable Lieyang.

It turns out that Shu Lan had secretly recorded everything with a recording stone when Hu Xiong was preparing to kill Wang Lin. Now the evidence was irrefutable.

After looking at the image stone, Venerable Lieyang was furious.

He turned to look at his disciples and asked, "Where is Hu Xiong?"

After leaving the secret realm, Hu Xiong felt extremely uneasy, as if something big was about to happen.

Just as he was in a state of utter confusion, he suddenly heard Venerable Lieyang calling his name.

He looked up at Venerable Lieyang, but his gaze fell upon his grandmaster standing beside Venerable Lieyang.

Hu Xiong's heart skipped a beat, sensing that something terrible was about to happen.

Although Shu Lan was no longer Qin Shu, his figure and the clothes he wore reminded Hu Xiong that the person he had clashed with was his grandmaster.

Hu Xiong felt a chill run straight to the top of his head, but he still forced himself to remain calm and walked out from among the disciples.

"This disciple is Hu Xiong." Hu Xiong forced himself to bow to Venerable Lieyang.

"Kneel down!" Venerable Lieyang shouted, while simultaneously exerting his oppressive aura on Hu Xiong.

Hu Xiong knelt down with a "plop".

"Hu Xiong, do you know your crime?!"

"This disciple knows not what crime I have committed?" Hu Xiong remained defiant. He believed that his grandmaster had no evidence, and as long as he refused to admit it, his grandmaster's one-sided statement was insufficient to convict him.

"Fine! Fine! Fine! Very well! You still refuse to admit it! So unrepentant!" Venerable Lieyang trembled with rage. "Look at this!"

Venerable Lieyang took out the recording stone and started playing it in front of all his disciples.

After the recording finished playing, Hu Xiong's face was ashen. The disciples were also astonished.

"Hu Xiong, the evidence is irrefutable. What else do you have to say to argue?!"

"Disciple knows his mistake!" Hu Xiong quickly kowtowed, "Please forgive disciple, Supreme Elder."

"Absolutely impossible! You should know what the consequences are for harming your fellow disciples!"

"Abolish his cultivation and expel him from the sect." Hu Xiong uttered each word with trembling lips, his entire being completely numb.

"Where is the Hall of Enforcement?"

"Yes, please give your instructions, Supreme Elder." The two law enforcement elders bowed to Venerable Lieyang.

“Remove Hu Xiong’s cultivation and expel him from the sect.”

"yes!"

Then, the law enforcement elder walked towards Hu Xiong.

"No, no!" Hu Xiong struggled desperately, but could not break free from the restraints of the law enforcement elder.

Soon, Hu Xiong's cultivation was stripped and he was thrown at the foot of the sect's mountain.

"I hope everyone will take this as a warning. Anyone who harms their fellow disciples will suffer the same fate as Hu Xiong," Venerable Lieyang said to his disciples in the end.

"Yes, I will follow the instructions of the Supreme Elder."

Subsequently, Venerable Lieyang announced the disbandment of the group, and all the disciples returned to their rooms and posts, each performing their duties.

Shu Lan also bid farewell to Venerable Lieyang, saying, "Senior brother, my disciple is seriously injured and needs to go back to recuperate. I must go back to be with him."

"Go, go, go. I know you're worried about your little apprentice, but you should go back right away."

"Um."

Shu Lan turned around and walked to Qin An's side, taking his hand in hers.

"Master, are you all done with your work?" Qin An had been waiting on the side until all the disciples had left before Shu Lan arrived.

"You're done with your work. How are your injuries now? Do they still hurt?" Shu Lan asked Qin An with some concern.

"I'm much better now, it doesn't hurt as much anymore." Qin An didn't want Shu Lan to worry.

"Ouch!" Qin An suddenly cried out in pain, as Shu Lan had pressed on his wound.

"Still trying to be brave!" Shu Lan felt very sorry for Qin An, who was covered in bruises.

"With Master here, it doesn't hurt anymore," Qin An said with a grin.

"You're such a smooth talker!" Shu Lan said, somewhat amused. "I'm not medicine, how can I stop the pain?"

But you are my best medicine! You gave me endless motivation; otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to hold on until you came to save me. And wherever you are, that's where I feel safest. Qin An looked at Shu Lan and said silently in his heart.

Shu Lan brought Qin An back to Tinglan Peak and went to her room.

Shu Lan found many healing pills and medicines for treating external injuries in his room. All of these healing pills were of superior quality, given to him by Venerable Lieyang, and the medicines for treating external injuries were also of excellent quality.

Shu Lan held the healing pill to Qin An's lips and watched him swallow it. After taking the pill, Qin An's internal injuries were almost completely healed.

Then, Shu Lan removed Qin An's outer garment. Qin An was somewhat reluctant when she took off his outer garment.

Shu Lan laughed, "I used to bathe you when you were little! What? Are you shy now?"

Qin An's face flushed red with embarrassment, but he still obediently let Shu Lan help him take off his clothes.

Shu Lan took the medicine for treating external injuries and gently applied it to Qin An's wounds. His movements were extremely light and gentle, as if he were afraid of hurting Qin An.

Qin An only felt his master brother's hand applying ointment to his wound so gently, it felt ticklish. His ears turned slightly red, and he felt a ticklish sensation in his heart as well.

An hour had passed by the time Shu Lan finished applying the ointment to all of Qin Quan's wounds.

"See? We really suffered a big loss this time." Shu Lan felt a pang of heartache when she thought of Qin An's injuries. "Tell me, why did you try to be so reckless this time?"

“Brother Master, you taught me that we should not involve the weak, and that with great power comes great responsibility. The situation was urgent, and I was the one with the highest cultivation. If I didn’t step in to stop it, others would be implicated next.”

"My silly little An!" Shu Lan stroked Qin An's head, wondering if she had taught him to be too upright. This wouldn't do.

"You should only step forward to stop it if you are capable of doing so. I only hope that you will be safe and sound. In the future, if you encounter a situation like this, your main goal should be to protect yourself. Never try to be brave, and you must ensure your safety!" Shu Lan was very worried and told Qin An to protect himself. Only after Qin An swore that he would ensure his safety next time did Shu Lan finally stop.

"You should focus on recovering from your injuries in the coming days. Once you're healed, I have something good to give you."

"What is it?" Qin An asked, very curious.

"You'll find out when the time comes." Shu Lan didn't tell Qin An what he was going to give him, he just told him to take good care of his injuries.

Qin An was very much looking forward to it, so he obediently began to recover from his injuries, afraid of missing out on what Shu Lan was going to give him.
