Shu Ke turned around in surprise and saw Shu Lan carrying dishes out of the kitchen.
Overjoyed, he shouted, "Brother!" Then, Shu Ke excitedly ran to Shu Lan and hugged her tightly. "That's great! Brother, you're finally back!" Shu Ke's eyes welled up with tears, but he tried his best to hold them back.
"I want to see if you're really real, brother!" Shu Ke started pinching and kneading Shu Lan's face, making Shu Lan both laugh and cry. "Okay, okay! Of course I'm real, brother. You're still being naughty! You're being naughty!" Shu Lan slapped Shu Ke on the head, and Shu Ke chuckled as he withdrew his hand from Shu Lan's face.
"I was just joking with you, brother! You know, your disappearance scared me to death!" Hearing her brother say this, Shu Lan felt a pang of guilt. After all, she had indeed disappeared for quite some time, during which time she had brought endless blows and regrets to her family.
He had no idea how his parents had gotten through this time. Were they crying all the time? Was his younger brother depressed all the time? Just thinking about it made Shu Lan's heart ache.
"No, I won't scare you anymore, and I won't disappear so easily again." Shu Lan reached out a hand and gently pinched Shu Ke's cheek to comfort him.

Shu Ke glared back defiantly at Qin An, their gazes meeting with sparks flying.

Seeing the expectant look in his brother Shu Lan's eyes, Shu Ke couldn't bear it anymore. He compromised and decided to accept Qin An's existence.
"Alright! Brother, I accept him." Shu Ke patted his brother Shu Lan's shoulder and sighed softly in his heart.
Shu Ke glanced at Qin An and said, "Your name is Qin An, right? I'm your brother-in-law now. If I find out you're bullying my brother, hmph!" Shu Ke raised his fist menacingly, trying to scare Qin An.
Qin An didn't take it to heart. With his brother-in-law's affirmation, there were no more obstacles between him and his master brother. He felt much more at ease and stopped treating Shu Ke coldly.
Seeing the atmosphere ease, Shu Lan finally felt at ease. His family's support for him and their tolerance towards Qin An warmed his heart.
After the whole family arrived, dinner began. Shulan's parents ate their food while chatting with Shulan and Qin An. During this time, Shulan's parents gained a deeper understanding of Qin An's character and felt more at ease about their son's choice.
Shu Lan's parents kept putting food into Shu Lan and Qin An's bowls, and Shu Ke also put food into his brother's bowl. Qin An, as usual, put his favorite dishes into his master's bowl.
Shu Lan's bowl was suddenly piled high with food, which made him both amused and exasperated. He was too embarrassed to refuse his family and Qin An's kindness, so he had no choice but to bite the bullet and eat the large amount of food while circulating his spiritual energy to speed up the digestion.
Time passed by unnoticed, and everyone finished their dinner. They chatted for a while longer, and gradually it became late at night.

Qin An held his master's slender waist, feeling incredibly content.
"Xiao An, how about I take you out to play tomorrow? It'll be a good opportunity for you to see the unique features of my world," Shu Lan said softly, nestled in Qin An's arms.
"Okay! As long as it's my master brother with me, I'm fine with anything!" Qin An gently inhaled the cool fragrance of magnolia on Shu Lan's body and answered without hesitation.
