The doctor prescribed some mood-regulating medication, but Luo Jingxuan wasn't sure if he would take it. The psychological counseling he arranged, due to Luo Jingxuan's non-cooperation, became a battle between him and the doctor.
It's useless anyway.
The young Luo Jingxuan was also clearly aware that his emotions were problematic, but he couldn't control them, nor did he want to save himself. He just lived his life in a daze.
It wasn't until he found a way out that things got better. However, he didn't break off contact with his psychiatrist. Or rather, he quite enjoyed the exchanges with them. They were like negotiations in a business, and very interesting.
That is, after spending all these years together, the psychologist has gained a certain understanding of Luo Jingxuan's psychology. Although he cannot open Luo Jingxuan's heart, he is still very clear about the superficial personality displayed by Luo Jingxuan, such as his "indifference" to blood relatives and his indifference to life.
Psychologists are generally required to keep patient information confidential, but since the person was arranged by Old Man Luo, some of Luo Jingxuan's basic information would naturally be reported to the old man. The old man is currently not in charge of things, and the information in his hands will soon appear on Boss Luo's desk.
Boss Luo wouldn't help Luo Jingxuan hide his condition, and since he was already feeling guilty, he thought that if he could recruit more people to join him in "fighting" Luo Jingxuan, his chances of success would be much higher. So, intentionally or unintentionally, Luo Jingxuan's "illness" became known to everyone.
But did Luo Jingxuan care? He didn't care. Not only did he not care, he also deliberately displayed his "indifference" to everyone in the Luo family, letting everyone know that only by being obedient could they get benefits from him. Otherwise, let alone sharing the benefits, he would make the other party live in a state of misery.
Therefore, most of the Luo family didn't dare to provoke Luo Jingxuan, and the younger generation didn't dare to show off their bad habits or tricks in front of him. Only the Luo Da and Luo San families would occasionally jump around and give Luo Jingxuan some trouble that he didn't care about (such as arranging a moderate car accident for him, not life-threatening but still enough to make him lose some skin; or giving him a beautiful useless but easy to control piece of shit), but they didn't dare to really touch Luo Jingxuan's bottom line.
When they chose Li Xi, they actually had many considerations. First, the Li family's family background was not a little bit worse than the Luo family, and both the Li family and Li Xi were easy to control; second, Li Xi was not favored in the Li family, and she could be easily bribed as long as she was given some "love"; third, Li Xi had a bad reputation in the circle. She was arrogant, brainless, and had no scheming. Not only could she not help Luo Jingxuan, she might even stab him in the back at a critical moment; fourth, Li Yaoming was afraid of the consequences and promised to give the benefits of the Luo family to Luo Da and Luo San as a gift.
In the original story, Li Xi, as they had predicted, was constantly manipulated by Luo Da and Luo San, never getting close to Luo Jingxuan. Later, she did stab Luo Jingxuan in the back at a crucial moment, but her "loyalty" wasn't to the Luo family, but to the male protagonist, Shen Zhou.
After Li Xi arrived, she decisively cut off the Li family's chances of sucking Luo Jingxuan's blood, and also denied Luo Da and Luo San any opportunity to approach her. To be more precise, the Luo Da and Luo San families' first encounter with Li Xi was on Old Man Luo's birthday. It wasn't the scene they had intended.
Therefore, they realized early on that the chess piece they had been best able to control had jumped out of the game, so they naturally couldn't act rashly against her. Later, Luo Jingxuan's various defenses made the two families realize that Li Xi had caught Luo Jingxuan's eye. Let alone turning against the other party, even the slightest displeasure could cause Luo Jingxuan's displeasure.
After the Hua family incident, the two families became more aware of Li Xi's position in Luo Jingxuan's heart. Li Xi was just tied up on the mountain to scare her, but Luo Jingxuan wiped out the Hua family. If Li Xi had really been hurt, Luo Jingxuan didn't know what would happen.
Of course, they didn't know that the authorities had targeted the Hua family first, and that Luo Jingxuan's supposed annihilation of the Hua family was merely a coordinated effort. They simply saw the outcome and mistakenly believed that Luo Jingxuan's rage for his beloved would result in the annihilation of the Hua family. It wasn't just a case of the King of Cooling being defeated, but a direct deception.
Everyone in the Luo family except Luo Jingxuan and Li Xi: “…” How cruel.
They didn't know the truth, but it was true that they didn't dare to offend Li Xi. Luo Jingxuan roughly guessed their thoughts, but didn't think of correcting them. It wouldn't be a bad thing if they could avoid Li Xi.
So, even when Li Xi "ran wildly" at her family's home during Chinese New Year, the Luo Da and Luo San families didn't dare confront her. Even the hot-tempered Luo Xingyue had to hold back her temper under her parents' instructions. No one else dared to say anything.
After the previous episode, everything around Li Xi and Luo Jingxuan was quite quiet until they sat down at the table.
As an old family, the Luo family has many collateral branches. Although not everyone is qualified to come to the old house for the New Year's Eve dinner, there are still many people present today, and there are at least a dozen tables.
The main table, where Li Xi and the others were seated, was occupied by the direct lineage: the old man, Luo Da, Luo Er, and Luo San. The rectangular table had the old man at the head of the table. To his left sat his sons: Luo Da and his wife, and Luo San and his wife. To his right sat his grandchildren, arranged in order of age: Luo Jingting, Luo Jingxuan, Li Xi, Luo Xingming, and Luo Xingyue.
Luo Xingming accepted the fact that her seat was moved to the side. Li Xi and Luo Jingxuan were a legal couple, and Grandpa Luo also approved of his granddaughter-in-law. It was nothing wrong for her to occupy a front seat at the main table.
Luo Xingyue, however, was extremely upset. Originally, there were four adults in the house (not counting the old man, who sat alone off to the side) and four children. Yun Mei was the youngest across from her, and she was the youngest on this side, so they were perfectly facing each other. Just looking up, she could see her mother, and she could eat an extra bowl of rice. Now that Li Xi had joined the family, not only could she no longer see her mother face to face, but whenever she looked up, she would be facing the kitchen door, and could see the busy figures inside.
