Chapter 2 Trying to be a "beautiful" waste

Oh my god, Li Xi in the original text is at most a cannon fodder among the key characters. Apart from the parts related to the plot, she is not written at all!

Li Xi had no memories of the original Li Xi, so returning to the Li family was a problem. She had no idea where she would live after marriage, whether she would live with her boss, or what the rules and requirements were.

Before Li Xi's heart could leap into her throat, Luo Jingxuan finally spoke, "Go see Grandpa first. If you're willing, you can live with him. If not, you can choose between the Jingyuan apartment and the Yuyuan villa."

After saying that, he opened the car door without caring about Li Xi and got out of the car with the help of the bodyguard.

Li Xi once again enjoyed the dreamlike scene of the handsome guy being carried like a princess up close. The nervousness in her heart a moment ago was immediately replaced by joy. She wished she could open her phone right now and write a few hundred words of fan fiction about the black-skinned bodyguard and the lame boss.

I glanced at the villa again. Well, I could just eat and wait for death, so why bother working hard at it? Writing fanfiction? Isn't the shashasha in my head enough?

Forget it, let’s solve the problem at hand first.

Li Xi followed him out of the car and hesitated for a second between helping Luo Jingxuan push the wheelchair and admiring the villa of the wealthy family worth hundreds of millions in the novel with her hands folded. Finally, she decided to just enjoy the scenery.

A bodyguard, an assistant, two men following them, what can a beautiful and fragile little cannon fodder like me do? Hehehe.

Sure enough, after everything was cleaned up, the assistant pushed Luo Jingxuan forward.

Li Xi followed behind like a little follower, his eyes constantly moving around, looking at the rockery, the garden, the house, and then the pond in the distance.

Wow, the yard of this villa is really big. There is even a pond. Could it be that the fish that the Luo family eats on a daily basis are raised in it? I can just go and catch a couple when I remember, right?

The lives of the rich are truly beyond the reach of ordinary people. Unlike those of us working the 996 schedule in first-tier cities, the cost-effective studios we rent with such difficulty might not even be as big as our own bathrooms. It's true, comparison is the thief of envy.

Li Xi followed him into the villa, her mind wandering. As soon as she stepped through the door, she was greeted by the smell of money. Antiques that looked very old, paintings that looked very abstract and old, chandeliers that looked very expensive, it was a dazzling sight.

Li Xi couldn't help but wonder whether this room configuration was the result of the author's limited writing skills and the random creation of a "rich family" decoration, or whether it was just Mr. Luo's taste.

If it's the former, even a century-old family with a rich history would reek of money, while a newly emerged wealthy family like the Li family would be "splendid and magnificent". You must go and appreciate it when you have time.

If it is the latter, then I can only say that Mr. Luo has a truly unique taste.

"Oh my, this must be my granddaughter-in-law, so beautiful." Before Li Xi could figure it out, the hall became lively.

An old man in a baggy vest and large shorts, with a smile that wrinkled his face, strode towards Li Xi. Before Li Xi could react, he slapped Li Xi on the shoulder.

"Not bad, not bad, he looks just like my grandson. Hahaha."

Li Xi was in so much pain that she almost instinctively slapped him. This guy was really rough. And luckily she wasn't wearing a sling today. If the old man had slapped her bare shoulder, Li Xi was sure she would have slapped him back, right in the face.

Resisting the urge to slap him back, Li Xi dodged and hid behind the assistant, only poking her head out. "Hello, Grandpa Luo, I'm Li Xi." Seeing the old man's cheerful expression, Li Xi paused and continued, "Although I know you mean well, please don't slap me casually next time. It hurts, and I don't like strangers touching me. It's annoying."

Mr. Luo's smile froze, and the atmosphere became awkward for a moment.

Assistant Jiang turned his head slightly, looked at the woman hiding behind him, and gave her a thumbs up in his heart, "Very brave."

Luo Jingxuan also turned his head to look at Li Xi, then turned back to look at Grandpa Luo, "You have met the person, I'm leaving." After saying that, he called Assistant Jiang to prepare to leave.

Old Master Luo recovered from his embarrassment, stepped forward quickly, snatched Luo Jingxuan's wheelchair, and pushed Assistant Jiang away. Assistant Jiang was not paying attention and almost fell.

Old Master Luo pretended not to see anything and pushed Luo Jingxuan inside. "No, it's not easy for you to come here, and you brought your granddaughter-in-law with you. You have to eat at least. My granddaughter-in-law and I are still strangers!" He turned around and waved at Li Xi, "Granddaughter-in-law, come here soon. If we chat more, we won't be strangers anymore. Come on!"

Li Xi stared at the scene before her, unsure how to react when Old Man Luo emphasized the word "stranger." She could only think that the decor of the house might, perhaps, be just the old man's taste; it was obvious he wasn't a normal person.

I always feel that the future will be very interesting, haha.
