Chapter 67: Excitement

In person, Li Xi addressed Luo Jingxuan as "Boss Luo," chatted with Assistant Jiang, and addressed him as "your boss" when arguing with Mian Lao Si. In front of Su Yu, Li Xi always addressed him as "my husband." It was awkward at first. After twenty years of solo work and a decade of pursuing an idol, Li Xi still couldn't get him to call her "husband." Now, after traveling through time, calling someone she'd only met a few times "husband" felt strange. But after a few more times, it became so; a few flirtatious words wouldn't hurt.

"Exciting?" Su Yu and Su Yuan's names sound similar, but they're polar opposites. Su Yu has no interest in seeking excitement. "What counts as exciting? Keeping a mistress? Having an affair? Committing a crime?"

"For me, crossing the road without looking at the traffic lights is exciting. For Su Yuan, who knows." Li Xi shrugged, really not understanding the rich young master's thoughts.

"Hehe, isn't it exciting for Shen Zhou to see Lu Zifeng and Lu Wantang having sex with his own eyes?" Su Yu agreed with a shrug.

The words are spoken unintentionally, but the listening is intentional.

Li Xi slapped her thigh fiercely. "Su Yuan has lived in a wealthy family since he was a child. He knows as much gossip as we do, but he may have heard it but not seen it. We can invite him to watch 'Shura Field' with us!"

"Like last time?" Su Yu was puzzled.

"Just like last time!" Li Xi excitedly.

"I don't think it's reliable." Su Yu shook his head. Would a young master like Su Yuan like to read gossip?

"I think it's great! I'll start writing the email soon. If it's all right, I'll send it out tonight!" Li Xi was lost in her own thoughts, completely unaware of Su Yu's disapproval. Or even if she did, she hadn't bothered to change her mind. Seeing gossip up close, directly participating in it—isn't it thrilling? It's incredibly thrilling.

Without waiting for Su Yu to persuade her, Li Xi cleared the plate and rushed back to the classroom. She didn't even bother sleeping, but picked up her phone and started typing.

The points listed previously are kept roughly, and new suggestions are added.

After several rounds of editing, polishing, and revisions, she finally finished the email before school was over. Perhaps content with her own whimsy, Li Xi didn't intend to give Luo Jingxuan a chance to offer feedback. After checking and confirming she was satisfied, Li Xi simply clicked send.

The time waiting for a reply was very unbearable. Fortunately, the time when she sent the email was almost over school. When she got home, Li Xi chose to cook to relieve the anxiety of waiting.

Having just cooked a "big meal" a few days ago, Li Xi didn't plan to make a main course today. After much deliberation, she finally decided to make bibimbap. She'd prepare some extra side dishes so she could have them as a late-night snack when Luo Jingxuan came back. Of course, that presupposed he was coming back. Feeling she had nothing to bother Luo Jingxuan with, Li Xi didn't ask if he'd be back that evening. However, out of kindness for Assistant Jiang, the foodie, she still sent him a message before cooking.

[Assistant Jiang, I'm going to make bibimbap tonight and will prepare some extra side dishes. If you need to take your boss home later, remind me to pack the insulated box. If your boss doesn't come home tonight, you can either make an extra trip yourself or eat it next time.]

"Ding Dong!" After sending the message, she just switched back to the main interface and before she even put down her phone, Assistant Jiang replied. Li Xi sighed, "How fast!" She wondered if she had been set as a special follower.

JAC【Eat!】

[Please prepare more. I promise to persuade the boss to go home! ]

Li Xi: "..." It really doesn't matter whether your boss comes home or not!

Even thinking this, Li Xi still resigned herself to her fate and replied, "Okay." Don't try to explain to someone whose only concern is food and the boss, that I cook just for my own pleasure, and that I invite you to dinner just because we're dining companions. He'll just think, "Woman, you're just flattering me to get your hands on my boss and secure your place as his wife."

While Assistant Jiang wasn't the typical boss's lackey in novels, he truly admired Luo Jingxuan, and their relationship was both superior and friend. Therefore, he thought it was normal for Li Xi to fall in love with Luo Jingxuan, and he was able to "persuade" the boss to go home. As for the reasons he used and the expression he used to persuade Luo Jingxuan, Li Xi had no idea.

Of course, if she were a bit more rebellious, she might have imagined the chauvinistic CEO and the chatty, foodie assistant as a couple. But after all, one was her nominal husband, and the other was Assistant Jiang, with whom she got along very well and provided her with countless help. She simply couldn't imagine these two getting into such a complicated relationship. It was too morally depraved.

Li Xi walked into the kitchen, lost in thought, and began to prepare bibimbap. Bibimbap, as the name suggests, is vegetables mixed with rice. She asked Aunt Lin to help cook a large pot of rice while Li Xi prepared the dishes herself.

The soul of bibimbap lies in the sauce; the other ingredients, whether they are present or not, are less important. Having not specifically asked Aunt Lin to help with grocery shopping during the day, Li Xi picked out what ingredients were in the refrigerator, washing, cutting, and blanching them. She then fried a few eggs and deep-fried some juicy sausages.

Finally, it was time for the sauce. Li Xi planned to make a mushroom and meat sauce for herself. If others wanted other sauces, they could do so. They already had Korean chili sauce and beef sauce on hand. She also had Aunt Lin pick out some leftover mushrooms from the pile and make some chicken mushroom oil, which could also be used to make rice.

There are many choices, it depends on personal preference.

After Li Xi's mushroom and meat sauce was cooked and the rice was ready, she didn't have to wait for anyone to eat. She invited Aunt Lin and Uncle Wu to eat together.

To make bibimbap easier, Li Xi grabbed a large bowl. First, she filled the rice cooker with the amount she'd normally eat. Then, she began selecting the ingredients for the bibimbap—eggs, juicy sausage, bean sprouts, mushrooms, spinach, carrots, and shredded potatoes. Finally, she added two tablespoons of the mushroom and meat sauce and began mixing.
