"May I ask what business Miss has with us?"
It was the tallest and thinnest man among the four who spoke first.
Li Youran did not notice any special features about the man, only that his mouth was unusually large.
“Of course, there’s good news for you.”
As Li Youran spoke, he took out four silver coins from his purse. The eyes of the four men looked at the shadow and their eyes lit up.
"Your Majesty, I am late in coming to your rescue. Please forgive me."
The Fourth Prince walked at the front, knelt on the ground, and addressed the Emperor.
At the same time, the guards behind the Fourth Prince forced the Third Prince to kneel down as well.
The Emperor glanced at the Third Prince, then turned his gaze to the Fourth Prince, and slowly began to speak.
“They’re all brothers, even if the bones are broken, they’re still connected. Even if the third brother has a thousand faults, you shouldn’t have been so cruel to him.”
As the Emperor spoke, he pointed to the Third Prince. The Crown Prince looked over and saw that the Third Prince's clothes were torn by swords and he was bleeding profusely; he was clearly seriously injured.
"Father, on the battlefield, swords and spears have no eyes or ears. I have not thought things through. Please forgive me."
The Fourth Prince said coldly, "The Third Prince has made such a big mistake, yet the Emperor is still concerned about his injuries under these circumstances. The Fourth Prince thought to himself that he should have expected this."
"General Huang, you have rendered meritorious service in saving the emperor. You may step down and rest now. You will be richly rewarded in court tomorrow."
The Emperor waved to General Huang and said something. General Huang knelt on one knee to pay his respects, and then took his leave.
He knew the Emperor wanted to get rid of him, after all, who wouldn't want outsiders to see such a family matter?
"Your Highness, Fourth Prince, what do you two think should be done with the Third Prince?"
The Emperor first imprisoned the Third Prince in the Imperial Prison, but did not take any direct action against him. Instead, he asked the Crown Prince and the Fourth Prince for their opinions.
