"Yes, sir!" The team member accepted the order and left, leaving Ning Yu alone in the command center. He paced back and forth with his hands behind his back and his brows furrowed.
He knew that battle was inevitable, but more importantly, he needed to find the root of the problem. The old forces were spreading rumors and inciting unrest, their aim was far more than just creating chaos; there must be a much larger conspiracy hidden behind it.
"Could it be..." A thought suddenly flashed through Ning Yu's mind, "Could it be that they want to force us out of the new territory, and then..."
He suddenly raised his head, a glint of light flashing in his eyes. "No, I must find out the truth!"
With that thought in mind, he no longer hesitated, turned around and picked up the map, his gaze falling on the central area of the new territory, which was an unexplored primeval forest with complex terrain and full of unknown dangers.
"System, bring up a detailed topographic map of this area," Ning Yu silently instructed in his mind.
"Retrieving..." the system's cold, mechanical voice announced.
Soon, a detailed 3D topographic map was projected in front of Ning Yu. His eyes were sharp as he carefully searched every corner. Suddenly, his gaze stopped at a hidden valley.
"What is this?" Ning Yu asked, pointing to an unusual energy reaction point in the center of the valley.
"Unidentified, suspected to be some kind of powerful energy fluctuation," the system replied.
“Powerful energy fluctuations…” Ning Yu’s heart skipped a beat. “Could it be that…?”
Without further hesitation, he picked up his weapon, turned, and walked outside.
"Mu Xue, the safety of the new territory is entrusted to you. I need to go out for a while..."
"Where are you going?" Mu Xue pressed.
Ning Yu did not answer, but left only one sentence before disappearing into the night:
"Wait for me to come back!"
As night deepened, Ning Yu made his way alone towards the valley marked on the map. He didn't know what awaited him, but he had a vague premonition that the key to solving everything might be hidden there…
