Chapter 115 Undercurrents of Crisis, Path to Resolution

Ning Yu shook his head, forcing a smile. "I'm fine, just overexerted." He looked up and glanced around, only to see that the tense battle had ceased as the energy storm dissipated. The enemy members exchanged bewildered glances, their eyes filled with shock and disbelief.

"Did we win?" one of the team members murmured, his voice filled with uncertainty.

"We won!" Mu Xue announced loudly, her voice filled with joy and pride. "Ning Yu averted the crisis, we won!"

The team members erupted in cheers, embracing each other and celebrating their hard-won victory. Every face beamed with the joy of surviving a close call, as well as admiration and gratitude for Ning Yu.

"Ning Yu, you are amazing!"

"Thanks to you, we survived!"

Hearing his teammates' praise, Ning Yu simply smiled faintly. He knew that although the crisis had been temporarily averted, greater challenges lay ahead. Those enemies lurking in the shadows would not give up so easily.

He slowly stood up, his gaze sweeping over the various expressions of the enemies opposite him, a cold smile curving his lips.

"Trying to leave?" he said calmly, yet his tone was filled with undeniable authority. "I haven't even said it's over, and you're already planning to leave?"

A suffocating silence fell over the opposing team. They exchanged glances, their eyes darting around, none daring to break the silence. They had thought victory was assured, but Ning Yu had defused the crisis in such an unbelievable way.

"What, not going to continue?" Ning Yu's lips curled into a mocking smile. He slowly scanned each person, taking in their astonishment, fear, and resentment. "Where did your arrogance go? I'll give you a chance, continue."

The enemy leader gritted his teeth, his fists clenching so tightly they cracked. He was filled with resentment, yet he had to admit that Ning Yu's strength had far exceeded their expectations. Now that the energy vortex had vanished, they had no more trump cards; continuing the fight would only lead to their deaths.

"Let's go!" The man finally gave in. He glared at Ning Yu and led his team away.

Watching the enemy slink away, the team members erupted in deafening cheers. They waved their weapons excitedly, as if to vent all the pent-up fear and anger they had been suppressing.

Ning Yu didn't stop his teammates from celebrating, but he himself remained calm. He knew this victory was only temporary. The enemy's strength was not to be underestimated, and this defeat would only make them hate him more and want to eliminate him even more.

"Ning Yu, are you alright?" Mu Xue walked to Ning Yu's side and asked with concern. She noticed that Ning Yu's face was a little pale, obviously from overusing his supernatural power.

"I'm fine, I just need a rest." Ning Yu shook his head, indicating that he was alright. He looked up into the distance, his gaze deep. "Although we won this battle, we can't let our guard down. Those guys won't give up easily, we must be prepared for the next storm."

Mu Xue's smile faded as she followed Ning Yu's gaze, a sense of unease rising within her. She knew Ning Yu was right. In this perilous post-apocalyptic world, every victory was merely a brief respite; the real challenges lay ahead.

"What do you want to do?" Mu Xue turned to look at Ning Yu, her eyes firm. "I will support you in whatever you do."

Ning Yu smiled slightly. He knew that no matter what happened, Mu Xue would stand by his side. He turned his gaze back to the cheering teammates, his mind already made up.

"It's time to expand our power..."
