Seeing that Ning Yu seemed to have truly been drugged, Widow Li was overjoyed and quickly beckoned to her two men to come forward: "Quick, tie him up! This kid has quite a few good things on him!"
The two men helped each other to their feet, their greedy eyes sweeping over Ning Yu as if he were a lamb to the slaughter.
The instant they approached Ning Yu, a cold glint flashed in Ning Yu's eyes...
…A cold glint flashed in Ning Yu's eyes. He lunged forward, his seemingly unsteady steps concealing a hidden trap. Caught off guard, the two men were struck head-on by Ning Yu's body and tumbled into the trap he had already dug.
"ah!"
"Ouch!"
A pig-like scream came from the trap. Before Widow Li could react to what was happening, Ning Yu had already gotten up from the ground, and now he had a gleaming dagger in his hand.
"You...you've cheated!" Widow Li looked at Ning Yu in horror and backed away step by step.
"Do I need to talk about chivalry when dealing with someone like you?" Ning Yu sneered, the dagger in his hand gleaming coldly in the dim light.
He didn't rush to attack Widow Li. Instead, taking advantage of the dizziness brought on by the sleeping potion, he pretended to cough weakly a few times and then said, "You know what? I hate it when people threaten me the most."
Widow Li watched Ning Yu approach step by step, her fear growing stronger. Forcing herself to remain calm, she said, "You...what do you want? Let me tell you, I'm not someone to be trifled with! If you dare lay a finger on me, my men will not let you off!"
Ning Yu ignored Widow Li's threat, walked straight to the edge of the trap, looked down at the two wailing men, and said coldly, "If you don't want to die, shut her up!"
The two men were dazed and confused after being thrown around. Upon hearing Ning Yu's words, they were terrified and struggled to their feet. They rushed towards Widow Li and used all their strength to cover her mouth, preventing her from making a sound.
Ning Yu then withdrew his gaze with satisfaction and turned to leave this place of trouble.
Upon returning to the temporary shelter, Ning Yu's first action was to reinforce its defenses. He used discarded metal plates he found to seal off the shelter's entrance, leaving only a small hole for one person to pass through.
After doing all this, Ning Yu finally breathed a sigh of relief and began to treat his injuries. He first rinsed the wounds with clean water, then took out a first-aid kit from his backpack and bandaged them up simply.
After doing all this, Ning Yu felt exhausted. He lay down on the simple bed and quickly fell asleep.
After an unknown amount of time, Ning Yu was awakened by a feeling of hunger. He opened his eyes, looked at the dim light in the shelter and the little food left, and sighed helplessly.
"Looks like I'll have to go out again," Ning Yu muttered to himself.
He stood up, walked to the cave entrance, and cautiously surveyed his surroundings. After confirming there was no danger, he bent down and crawled out, heading towards the place he remembered might have food…
