Chapter 142 Dawn in Sight, Opportunity for Victory

"Charge! For freedom!"

"Avenge our fallen brothers!"

The team members roared, carving a path to hope with their own flesh and blood. Some were struck by falling rocks, others were swept away by the turbulent energy currents, but no one stopped, for they all shared a common belief—victory!

Ning Yu always charged ahead, wielding his weapon to cut through obstacles and clear a safe path for his teammates. Mu Xue followed closely behind, her energy gun continuously firing deadly beams of energy, eliminating any enemies who tried to stop them.

Finally, they broke through numerous obstacles and arrived at the gate of the Dominator's building.

This is a colossal gate made of an unknown metal, tens of meters high, engraved with eerie patterns, exuding a chilling sense of oppression.

"Such powerful energy fluctuations..." The team members felt a terrifying aura emanating from inside the gate and couldn't help but feel fear.

"So this is the lair of the Overlord? It's truly extraordinary..."

Ning Yu looked up at the magnificent building before him, his heart filled with awe. But he knew he had no way out.

"Cheer up, everyone!" he said in a deep voice. "We've come this far, we can't afford to fall here!"

"That's right, we've already lost too much, we can't back down anymore!"

"Let's give it our all!"

The team members encouraged each other, gripped their weapons tightly, and their eyes gradually hardened.

"Are you ready?" Ning Yu took a deep breath and turned to look at Mu Xue beside him.

Mu Xue nodded, her eyes shining with determination.

Ning Yu no longer hesitated. He raised his hand and slowly placed it on the door.

The heavy scraping of metal echoed across the empty battlefield, like the low growl of an ancient behemoth. Ning Yu took a deep breath, mustered all his strength, and slowly pushed open the door before him, a symbol of despair and domination. Blinding light poured out from the crack in the door, and everyone instinctively squinted.

"Stay close to me and be on guard!" Ning Yu's deep voice rang out in the group, carrying an undeniable authority. He stepped through the gate first, followed by his teammates, each gripping their weapons tightly and vigilantly observing their surroundings.

The gate slammed shut behind them, as if separating two worlds. Outside lay a war-torn, post-apocalyptic wasteland, while inside was another battlefield.

The interior of the building was not as opulent as one might imagine; instead, it felt spacious and oppressive. The towering walls were constructed of some kind of black metal, with no windows, only a few flickering lights at the top casting distorted and eerie shadows. A strange odor permeated the air, like rust mixed with some kind of chemical agent, making one feel nauseous.

"It feels very uncomfortable here," a team member said in a low voice, his palms sweating as he gripped his gun.

"Stay alert, don't let your guard down!" Mu Xue's voice rang out from the front of the group. The energy gun in her hand emitted a faint blue light, illuminating a small area around them.

Ning Yu looked around, his brow furrowed. It was too quiet here, eerily quiet. The Overlord's stronghold couldn't possibly be undefended.

"careful!"

Ning Yu, who was walking at the front of the group, suddenly sensed something was amiss. He turned around abruptly and pulled Mu Xue behind him. Almost simultaneously, a dark shadow flashed across the ceiling, its sharp claws slicing through the air with a cold light, nearly striking Mu Xue.

"What is that?!" The team members tensed up immediately, raising their weapons and searching for any trace of the enemy.

"Shh—" Ning Yu gestured for everyone to be quiet. He heightened his senses to the limit, carefully listening to the movements around him. "Up there!" He suddenly looked up and saw a huge black shadow hanging upside down from the roof in the dim light, its scarlet eyes staring intently at them as if looking at a flock of lambs to the slaughter.

Before anyone could react, the dark figure attacked again, lunging towards the center of the group like a ghost...
