The shadowy figure moved with astonishing speed, closing in in the blink of an eye. Ning Yu's mind raced, and he instantly conjured a dazzling bolt of lightning in his hand, blasting it towards the shadowy figure.
"boom!"
A burst of lightning illuminated the entire space. In the brief moment of light, everyone finally saw the attacker's true face.
It was a creature resembling a giant bat, but dozens of times larger than an ordinary bat, with a wingspan of two to three meters. Its entire body was covered in jet-black scales that shimmered with a metallic sheen. Its sharp claws were like steel hooks, gleaming with a chilling light.
Although the lightning failed to harm the giant bat, it temporarily forced it to retreat from its attack.
"Everyone, back to back, form a defensive formation!" Ning Yu ordered in a deep voice, while protecting Mu Xue behind him.
The team members reacted quickly, forming a well-trained circle with their guns pointed outwards.
The giant bat let out a piercing screech, seemingly enraged by Ning Yu's attack. It circled in the air a few times, searching for an opportunity to strike.
"Watch out, its target is Mu Xue!" Ning Yu keenly sensed the giant bat's intentions and shouted a warning.
Sure enough, the giant bat swooped down again, its target Mu Xue in the center of the group.
Mu Xue was prepared. She fired her energy gun continuously, and blue energy bullets whistled out, hitting the giant bat.
However, the giant bat's defenses were astonishing; the energy blasts only sparked on its scales and could not harm any vital organs.
"Damn it, its defense is too strong!" Mu Xue gritted her teeth and kept pulling the trigger.
"I'll deal with it, you guys cover me!" Ning Yu said, leaping into the air and charging towards the giant bat.
Ning Yu moved with incredible speed, arriving before the giant bat in the blink of an eye. The lightning in his hand condensed again, transforming into sharp bolts of lightning that rained down on the giant bat.
The giant bat clearly hadn't expected Ning Yu to be so fast. Caught off guard, it was struck by lightning and let out a painful roar.
Taking advantage of the giant bat's injury, Ning Yu flashed behind it. The lightning in his hand transformed into a sharp longsword, which he thrust fiercely towards the giant bat's neck.
However, at that moment, something unexpected happened!
Watch your step!
Before Ning Yu could react, the ground beneath his feet suddenly collapsed, and he instantly lost his balance...
"Ning Yu!" Mu Xue exclaimed, but could only watch helplessly as Ning Yu fell into the suddenly appearing deep pit.
The ground returned to calm, as if nothing had happened, with only the dark opening testifying to the danger that had just occurred.
"Quick, go help the captain!" The team members then realized what was happening and rushed to the edge of the pit, only to find it bottomless and they couldn't see Ning Yu's figure at all.

The anxious shouts echoed in the empty space, but received no response.
Suppressing her inner worry, Mu Xue calmly instructed, "Shine the flashlight down there and see what's down there."
The team members did as instructed, and several beams of light shone into the deep pit, vaguely illuminating a small area at the bottom.
"There looks like something over there!" one of the team members shouted, pointing to the bottom of the pit.
Everyone stared intently, and could vaguely see a huge metal platform at the bottom of the pit. Ning Yu's figure was lying on the platform, his life hanging in the balance.
"Quickly think of a way to get down there!" Mu Xue was extremely anxious, but had no ideas.
The pit was as smooth as a mirror, offering no foothold. They had no ropes or other tools with them, so how could they possibly get down?
"Use your guns!" one of the team members had a sudden inspiration. "Shoot the pit walls with your pistols to create footholds!"
Although this method is risky, it is currently the only option.
"I'll do it!" Mu Xue took the pistol handed to her by her teammate, aimed at the pit wall, and decisively pulled the trigger.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
The bullets struck the hard crater wall, sparking bursts of sparks and creating shallow craters that could barely serve as footholds.
"I'll go down first, you guys follow!" Mu Xue said, taking a deep breath, leaping down, and carefully climbing down using the makeshift footholds.
Just then, an unexpected event occurred!
A protruding stone under Mu Xue's feet came loose, causing her to lose her balance. She cried out in surprise and fell to one side.
"careful!"
"Mu Xue!"
The team members' hearts jumped into their throats, but there was no time to provide assistance.
Mu Xue reacted very quickly, reaching out to grab the metal pipe beside her just before she was about to fall.
"hiss……"
The metal pipe rubbed against her arm, sending a burning pain through her. Mu Xue gritted her teeth and persevered, finally regaining her balance.
Seeing this, the team members quickly pulled her up.
Are you alright?
"Are you injured?"
Mu Xue shook her head, indicating that she was fine, except that her arm had been scraped, revealing bright red flesh.
Suddenly, a cry of alarm came from above, and then countless tiny needle-like objects shot out from all directions at lightning speed.
"Get out of the way!"
Ning Yu's voice came from the bottom of the pit, tinged with anxiety.
The team members scrambled for cover, but the needle-like objects were so dense and incredibly fast that there was no way to dodge them...
One team member was unable to dodge in time and was pierced in the arm by a needle-like object. He didn't even have time to let out a scream...
The team member didn't even have time to scream before his face turned black, his body swayed, and he fell straight down.
