"Xiao Zhang!"
The team members were filled with grief and indignation, but they had no time to pay attention to that, because the deadly rain of needles continued to attack them.
"Captain! How are you?" Mu Xue shouted anxiously into the deep pit, but only heard echoes.
"I'm fine!" Ning Yu's voice came from the bottom of the pit, tinged with weakness. "These needles are poisoned, everyone be careful!"
Mu Xue's heart sank. She knew that Ning Yu must have wanted to use his supernatural abilities to detoxify Xiao Zhang, but this kind of poison was obviously beyond his capabilities, otherwise he wouldn't be so weak.
"Captain, how are you?" a team member asked anxiously.
"Never mind me, let's figure out how to avoid these damn needles!" Ning Yu's voice was filled with helplessness, clearly indicating that he had exhausted himself.
The team members then realized that their immediate priority was to save their own lives. However, these needle-like objects were incredibly fast and could penetrate anywhere, leaving them with no way to escape.
"Captain, your special ability..." Mu Xue's voice trembled slightly. She knew what this meant. If even Ning Yu's special ability couldn't neutralize this poison, then they really had no hope.
"No, this toxin is very strange. My superpower has been greatly depleted, but the effect is minimal." Ning Yu's voice was tinged with bitterness, clearly indicating that he also realized the seriousness of the problem.
Despair began to spread among the team members. They were trapped in this godforsaken place, facing deadly poison needles. Their captain was seriously injured, and they were powerless to help him.
"Are we all going to die here today?" one of the team members muttered to himself, his voice filled with despair.
Just then, Ning Yu's voice came from the deep pit again, this time with a hint of solemnity: "Everyone, observe carefully, these needles... seem to..."
Before he could finish speaking, a violent tremor suddenly came from the deep pit, followed by a powerful gust of air that blew out from the bottom of the pit, knocking several team members standing on the edge of the pit to the ground.
Amidst the swirling dust, Mu Xue struggled to her feet, not bothering to brush the dust off herself, and rushed anxiously to the edge of the pit, "Ning Yu! How are you?"
From the deep pit, Ning Yu slowly rose, unharmed, though his face was still somewhat pale. He gave Mu Xue a reassuring smile, "Don't worry, I'm fine. These needles... are arranged in a pattern."
"A pattern?" Mu Xue was stunned for a moment, then realized that Ning Yu must have discovered something.
Ning Yu nodded, pointing to the dense array of holes above his head. "The sources of these needle-like objects are fixed, and the time intervals and directions of each launch follow a certain pattern. As long as we grasp this pattern, we can evade the attacks."
As he spoke, he took a few coins from his pocket and tossed them in different directions. The coins traced several parabolic arcs in the air before landing precisely in the firing ports.
“See? As long as we find the right moment, we can use an object to block these holes,” Ning Yu explained. “Now, we need to divide the work. One group of people will be responsible for observing the changes in the holes and predicting the launch time and direction, while the other group will be responsible for finding objects that can be used to block the holes.”
Upon hearing this, everyone's spirits lifted, and the gloom of despair vanished. That's right! How come they hadn't thought of that? As long as they found the pattern, they could resolve the crisis!
Under Ning Yu's command, the team members sprang into action. Some kept their eyes glued to the hole in the ceiling, while others searched the surrounding area for anything usable: rubble, broken metal strips, and even equipment from fallen team members…
At first, they were a bit flustered, but as they gradually grasped the pattern, their movements became more and more skillful, and their coordination became more and more perfect. Although the deadly needle-like objects were still dense, they could no longer harm them in the slightest.
"Walk!"
Seizing an opening, Ning Yu gave a low shout and took the lead, running deeper into the passage. Mu Xue and the other team members followed closely behind, bending low and nimbly weaving through the rain of needles, like ghosts.
At the end of the passage stood a heavy metal door. Ning Yu took a deep breath and pushed the door open forcefully.
The main door slowly opened, revealing a spacious hall behind it. The hall was empty, devoid of any decoration, with only cold walls and floors, exuding a chilling atmosphere.
"Be careful, there might be other traps here," Ning Yu whispered a warning.
Everyone nodded and cautiously entered the hall.
However, the moment they stepped into the hall, the surrounding walls suddenly lit up, and beams of light intertwined to form a huge maze pattern that enveloped them.
"Oh no, we..."
Before Mu Xue could finish speaking, the entire hall suddenly began to spin...
