"What is this?!" Ning Yu's expression changed, and he hissed in a low voice. The invisible resistance grew stronger and stronger, as if it were trying to push him into an abyss. He tried his best to move forward, but it was like being stuck in a quagmire, unable to move an inch.
"It's an energy shield! It has an energy shield set up around the core!" Mu Xue's voice came from afar, tinged with despair.
Ning Yu's heart sank. He should have known that the Overlord wouldn't let him succeed so easily. But he was unwilling to give up so easily; he couldn't let this hard-won opportunity slip away!

Ning Yu was thrown backward by the recoil, spitting out a mouthful of blood. He struggled to stand up, but felt weak all over, and his vision blurred.
"Hahaha, overestimating yourself!" The Dominator's arrogant voice rang out again, full of mockery and sarcasm. "You think you can hurt me? How laughable!"
Ning Yu wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, a resolute glint in his eyes. He slowly stood up, his gaze fixed firmly on the dazzling light. He knew this was his last chance, and he would fight with all his might no matter what!
"Ning Yu, no!" Mu Xue's voice was filled with worry and fear, but her words were drowned out by the deafening explosion.
The Overlord seemed to sense Ning Yu's determination; it ceased its pointless taunts and focused its attention more intently on him. Countless beams of energy rained down upon Ning Yu…
"Captain!" "Ning Yu!" In the distance, his teammates called out anxiously, but they had no time to pay attention, because they were all entangled in a large number of enemies and could not break free.
"Come on!" Ning Yu took a deep breath, his eyes becoming incredibly sharp. He knew that the decisive battle had only just begun...
Energy beams rained down like a storm, and Ning Yu dodged and weaved through the narrow gaps. Each attack carried a devastating force, as if it wanted to completely devour him.
"boom!"
A beam of light grazed his arm, instantly burning his clothes away, tearing his flesh to reveal his bare bones.
Ning Yu groaned, but gritted his teeth and persevered. His vision was already blurry; the intense pain and blood loss made it almost impossible for him to think, but he had only one thought in his mind: He couldn't fall!
In the distance, Mu Xue frantically called out Ning Yu's name, but to no avail. She was tightly bound by several high-level mutants and couldn't break free. The other team members weren't in much better shape; each of them faced enemies several times their number, each was seriously injured, but each gritted their teeth and persevered, because they knew Ning Yu was still fighting!
"Give up, you can't beat me!" The Dominator's arrogant voice echoed in Ning Yu's ears, carrying the mockery of a victor. "Your struggle is pointless, it will only make your death more miserable!"
"Shut up!" Ning Yu roared, recklessly mobilizing all his remaining supernatural abilities, condensing them into a huge energy blade, and slashing fiercely at the seemingly indestructible shield.
"Overestimating yourself!" The Overlord sneered and increased its energy output.
A deafening explosion rang out, as if the entire space was being torn apart. Ning Yu's body was thrown back by the massive shockwave and crashed heavily into the ruins.
He felt as if his bones were shattered, his internal organs were burning, and his consciousness was gradually fading.
"Ning Yu!" Mu Xue's heart-wrenching cry came from afar, as if it were across thousands of mountains and rivers.
He wanted to respond, but he couldn't make a sound; all he could see was blood red.
No, I can't fall... I can't lose yet...
Ning Yu struggled to stand up, but felt as if his body was filled with lead. He tried to open his eyes, but could only see a blurry blur of light and shadow.
"System...System..." Ning Yu murmured to himself. His only hope now was that the system could find a way to break through this shield.
However, all that answered him was endless silence...
"System! System!" Ning Yu called out in his mind again and again, his voice hoarse and filled with despair. However, the only response he received was a terrifying silence in his mind. The powerful energy field was like a huge cage, completely isolating him from the outside world, and even the system was rendered useless.
Despair coiled around Ning Yu's heart like a venomous snake. Was this really the end? Would all the sacrifices made by everyone ultimately amount to nothing?
"No! I can't give up!" Ning Yu roared inwardly. He struggled to get up, but collapsed again, powerless. Blood stained the ground and his vision.
"Ning Yu!"
In the distance, Mu Xue's heart-wrenching screams exploded in Ning Yu's ears like a thunderclap. He struggled to open his heavy eyelids and saw a familiar figure running towards him with all his might.
It was Mu Xue! She broke through the enemy's blockade without hesitation and rushed towards his direction.
"Don't come any closer! It's dangerous!" Ning Yu tried to stop her, but no sound came out. He clearly sensed that the Overlord was mobilizing energy, preparing to launch the next attack.
Mu Xue ignored his warning; her eyes were only on Ning Yu, the man who had given everything for the future of humanity. She rushed headlong into the energy storm, as resolute as a moth drawn to a flame.
