Chapter 150 Victory in Sight, Suspense Remains

A blinding white light instantly engulfed the entire battlefield, and everyone instinctively closed their eyes, the deafening roar echoing in their ears. A violent surge of energy tossed them to the ground, dust, rubble, and metal fragments raining down, making it impossible to open their eyes.

"Cough, cough..." After an unknown amount of time, Mu Xue was the first to get up from the ground. She leaned against a broken wall and coughed violently. Her dusty and dirty appearance could not hide the deep worry in her eyes.

"Ning Yu! Ning Yu!" she called out loudly, anxiously searching for Ning Yu's figure.

"I'm here..." A faint voice came from not far away. Mu Xue looked in the direction of the voice and saw Ning Yu kneeling on the ground, his face pale and a trace of blood still remaining at the corner of his mouth. The long sword in his hand was broken, and the ground around his body was covered with shocking cracks.

"How are you?" Mu Xue rushed to Ning Yu's side and helped him up, her eyes full of concern.

"I'm fine, I won't die..." Ning Yu forced a smile. He took a deep breath, trying to calm the surging blood and qi within him. The power of the Dominator's self-destruction was truly terrifying; even he suffered considerable internal injuries.

He looked up at the center of the battlefield. The original location of the ruler had been replaced by a huge crater, with thick smoke billowing into the sky, blotting out the sun. The entire battlefield was a scene of devastation.

"Did we... win?" A team member stumbled over, his voice filled with confusion and uncertainty.

“It’s not over yet…” Ning Yu shook his head, his gaze piercing through the thick smoke, fixed on the bottom of the pit. “It’s still alive!”

No sooner had the words left his mouth than a chilling roar suddenly came from the bottom of the pit. The sound was filled with pain, anger, and despair, but it was even more terrifying.

"boom!"

With a deafening roar, a black beam of energy pierced through the thick smoke and shot straight into the sky. Within the beam, a distorted figure slowly emerged.

The ruler did not die; it survived, but... its form underwent a dramatic change, becoming more ferocious, terrifying, and dangerous!

"Die, all of you!" A twisted voice came from the Overlord's mouth, which opened its blood-red maw, and a destructive energy wave condensed in its mouth.

"Not good, dodge quickly!" Ning Yu's pupils shrank sharply. He desperately mobilized the last bit of power in his body, preparing... Just as Ning Yu was about to launch his final attack, a strange smile appeared on the Dominator's distorted face. It suddenly opened its blood-red maw, and an energy wave even more terrifying than before condensed in its mouth, turning into a black beam of light that shot straight into the sky!

"Oh no! It's going to self-destruct!" Ning Yu's expression changed drastically, and alarm bells rang in his mind.

"Get out of the way!" he shouted hoarsely, desperately mobilizing the last bit of power within him to form a golden barrier in an attempt to block this devastating energy.

However, the energy from this self-destruction was far too powerful, far exceeding Ning Yu's expectations. The golden barrier held for less than a second before being torn apart like paper, dissipating into countless specks of light in the air.

“It’s over…” Ning Yu let his arms fall limply, his eyes filled with despair.

Seeing this, the other team members also showed expressions of despair. Faced with this world-destroying energy, they, the survivors, were as insignificant as ants and had no way to resist it.

"Ning Yu..." Mu Xue exclaimed in surprise, rushing towards Ning Yu without regard for anything else, trying to shield him with her body.

However, at this critical moment, Ning Yu suddenly reached out and shoved Mu Xue away violently, shouting, "Live on!"

Mu Xue was pushed back by Ning Yu, and watched helplessly as the black energy beam swept towards Ning Yu like a monster that devoured everything...

"No..." Mu Xue let out a desperate roar, tears blurring her vision.

Just at this moment of despair, Mu Xue suddenly seemed to remember something. She abruptly raised her head, a glimmer of hope rekindling in her eyes, and shouted to the panicked team members around her, "Everyone, come to me!"

"Quick! Everyone, focus your strength on me!" Mu Xue's voice was unusually firm amidst the chaos, like a reassuring pill, giving the team members, who had been in despair, a glimmer of hope.

Without time to think, everyone mobilized their remaining supernatural abilities, converging them into beams of various colors that surged towards Mu Xue. Mu Xue was like the center of an energy vortex, frantically absorbing and merging everyone's power.

As the energy gathered, a dazzling white light emanated from Mu Xue's body. This light grew stronger and stronger, gradually forming a huge sphere of light that enveloped all the team members.

"Hold on!" Sensing the approaching destructive power, Mu Xue gritted her teeth and poured all her strength into the light sphere, trying to withstand this final impact.

However, the power of the Overlord's self-destruction far exceeded their expectations. Even with the combined strength of everyone, the sphere of light began to tremble violently, its surface rippling as if it were about to shatter at any moment.

"No... our strength is still too weak..." someone whispered in despair.

"Even if we die, we'll die together!" another team member shouted, his eyes filled with determination.

A black wave of energy surged forth like a tidal wave, instantly engulfing the sphere of light. Faced with that devastating energy, the sphere of light appeared so fragile and vulnerable, like a lone boat in a storm, about to be swallowed by the giant waves.

The sphere of light twisted and deformed violently, and finally exploded with a "bang," turning into countless points of light that dissipated into the air.

Just when everyone thought they were doomed, time seemed to suddenly stand still.

That violent energy, which should have torn them to shreds, seemed to have been paused, strangely frozen in place.

They were trapped in a strange space where everything around them became distorted and blurred, except for the blinding white light that remained unchanged, freezing their figures in that moment.

"What... happened?" someone muttered to themselves, their voice filled with confusion and disbelief.

However, before anyone could react, the surrounding scenery changed again...
