Chapter 161 The First Glimmer of Dawn, a Sign of Victory

"Ning Yu, catch!" Mu Xue returned, returned again, clutching a makeshift weapon made of metal parts and wires, her face showing a resolute and courageous expression.

"What is this?" Ning Yu was slightly taken aback, looking at the weapon Mu Xue handed over, and asked in confusion.

"This is an electromagnetic pulse transmitter that we temporarily assembled based on the principles you described earlier. Although it's not very powerful, it should be able to interfere with those black spikes to some extent," Mu Xue explained, her tone carrying a hint of pride, but even more so, trust and support for Ning Yu.

Ning Yu accepted the simple weapon, which embodied the hard work of everyone involved. A warm feeling welled up in his heart as he sensed the trust and determination his teammates had placed in him. This roused him, and a determined light shone in his eyes.

"Alright! Let's take it down together!" Ning Yu took a deep breath, raised the electromagnetic pulse transmitter in his hand, and charged towards the dangerous object that exuded a strange aura once again.

Inside the warehouse, flames flickered and explosions echoed. Mu Xue led the remaining team members, spreading out to attack the dangerous object from different directions, attempting to distract it and create an opportunity for Ning Yu.

"Concentrate your firepower and attack its energy source!" Mu Xue calmly directed her team members, her guns spitting out angry tongues of fire as she fired specially made bullets at the dangerous object.

The dangerous object seemed to sense the threat; it writhed wildly, unleashing a barrage of black spikes at the group. Ning Yu nimbly dodged, his electromagnetic pulse transmitter continuously emitting blinding flashes of electricity that struck the black spikes, producing crackling sounds.

"Now, Ning Yu!" Mu Xue seized an opportunity and shouted loudly.

Without the slightest hesitation, Ning Yu seized the opportunity, rushed to the danger, aimed the electromagnetic pulse transmitter at its core, and pulled the trigger sharply…

A blinding flash of electricity exploded in the cramped warehouse, illuminating Ning Yu's resolute face. The electromagnetic pulse, like an invisible hammer, slammed heavily into the core of the hazardous material. After a teeth-grinding hissing sound, the hazardous material trembled violently, as if enduring immense pain.

"Success?" a team member exclaimed in surprise, but before he could finish speaking, the dangerous object let out a deafening roar. Its massive body expanded violently, and countless black spikes shot out in all directions like exploding fireworks, carrying an aura of death.

"Watch out!" Ning Yu's eyes widened in horror, but it was too late. Several muffled groans rang out as several team members, unable to dodge in time, were struck by the spikes and collapsed to the ground in agony.

"Quick! Cover them!" Mu Xue shouted anxiously, her gun spitting fire to provide cover for the wounded team members.

"Cough cough... I'm fine..." A team member struggled to stand up, but was pressed down hard by his teammates.

"Don't move! You're injured!" his companion shouted anxiously.

The dangerous object was completely enraged, unleashing waves of energy that distorted the air inside the warehouse. Under immense pressure, Ning Yu seized the opportunity when the object attacked the other team members and charged at it again. His electromagnetic pulse transmitter was overheating, but without hesitation, he unleashed all the remaining energy.

The lightning flashed again, but this time, the dangerous object only trembled slightly before resuming its frenzied attack. It seemed to have adapted to the electromagnetic pulse attack, and the makeshift weapons had become negligible in their effectiveness.

"Damn it!" Ning Yu cursed inwardly. He knew that if things continued like this, they would eventually be worn down and killed.

"Ning Yu, catch!" Mu Xue's voice rang out amidst the chaos. Ning Yu looked up and saw Mu Xue throwing a metal box at him.

"What is this?" Ning Yu caught the box and asked in confusion.

"Don't ask, just open it and you'll know!" Mu Xue shouted as she fired her gun.

Ning Yu didn't have time to think. He quickly opened the box and found some crystals inside that emitted a strange light. These crystals were of various shapes, but all of them emitted amazing energy fluctuations.

"This is..." Before Ning Yu could examine it closely, Mu Xue's voice rang out again: "These are energy crystals, they can enhance the power of your weapons! Quickly..."

Her last words were drowned out by the deafening explosion. Ning Yu turned her head sharply and saw the dangerous object launch another attack, and this time, its target was...

Mu Xue's voice stopped abruptly, her pupils contracted sharply, reflecting the figure locked onto by the energy wave beneath the massive body of the dangerous creature—Ning Yu!

In that critical moment, Mu Xue's mind raced. She couldn't just stand by and watch Ning Yu fall into danger! Her gaze swept around; the warehouse was a mess, littered with scattered parts and marks from the energy waves.

"There must be a way, there must be..." Mu Xue murmured to herself, not letting go of any corner, any detail that might hold hope. Suddenly, her gaze fell on a pile of miscellaneous items in the corner of the warehouse that they had overlooked.

These were materials collected from other outposts and deemed "useless," including some crystals that emitted a strange light. These crystals varied in shape and size, but all emitted astonishing energy fluctuations.

"This is it!" A glimmer of hope ignited in Mu Xue's heart. She rushed to the pile of clutter as fast as she could and searched carefully. Her fingers traced the cold crystals, keenly sensing the immense energy contained within.

With time running out, Mu Xue didn't have time to think. She grabbed a handful of crystals, rushed back to the team, and shouted to the team members who were loading ammunition: "Install these crystals onto the weapons, quick!"
