"Ning Yu, you should look behind you." A cold voice came from the other side of the ruins, full of mockery and sarcasm.
Ning Yu whirled around, his pupils contracting sharply. Before him stood a tall, imposing figure, draped in a black cloak and wearing a menacing metal mask that obscured his face, revealing only a pair of cold, dangerous eyes.
"It's you!" Ning Yu spat out these two words through gritted teeth, his heart burning with rage. This person was none other than Shadow, the leader of "Black Crow," and the culprit behind this disaster.
Ying slowly raised his right hand, a blinding ball of energy gathering in his palm, the surrounding air seemingly distorted by this powerful energy. "Surprised? Ning Yu, your end has come."
Before he could finish speaking, the energy ball transformed into a bolt of lightning and hurtled towards Ning Yu. Ning Yu had no time to dodge and could only mobilize all his supernatural abilities once more to form a protective shield in front of him.
"boom--"
With a deafening roar, the energy sphere collided with the protective shield, unleashing a blinding light and sending everything in its path flying. Ning Yu groaned as the powerful force sent him flying, crashing heavily into a crumbling wall.
"Cough cough..." He struggled to his feet, feeling a metallic taste in his throat, and a trickle of blood spilled from the corner of his mouth. Although the protective shield had blocked Shadow's attack, it had also consumed a large amount of his supernatural power, and his body had reached its limit.
Worse still, the protective barrier continued to release powerful energy waves, each impact like a hammer blow to their hearts, leaving everyone exhausted and their superpowers depleted.
"Boss, this can't go on. Our superpowers are almost exhausted!" a team member said, pale-faced and panting.
Ning Yu knew perfectly well that he was in a difficult situation, more so than anyone else. He gritted his teeth and tried to use the system's ability again to fight the barrier, but the system indicated that he was running out of energy and needed time to recover.
"Damn it!" Ning Yu cursed under his breath, his heart filled with anxiety. Was he really going to be defeated here today?
Hiding behind cover, Mu Xue watched anxiously. The injuries to her teammates and Ning Yu's predicament weighed heavily on her heart. She knew she had to do something…
Mu Xue took a deep breath, her gaze hardening. She looked at the protective barrier in the distance, constantly emitting energy waves, and a daring and risky plan formed in her mind. Gripping the energy jammer in her hand, she said to a teammate beside her, "Cover me!"
Seeing her teammates fall one by one, hearing their painful groans, Mu Xue felt as if her heart was being pierced by countless needles, the pain unbearable. Ning Yu was being held back by Ying, the situation was critical, and she could no longer stand idly by!
"Cover me!" Mu Xue shouted to her teammates, her tone resolute and leaving no room for doubt.
"What? What are you going to do?" Before the team members could react, Mu Xue had already rushed out.
"Don't be impulsive, it's too dangerous!" the team members exclaimed, trying to stop her, but it was too late.
Mu Xue moved like lightning, swiftly darting through the ruins, dodging the energy waves emanating from the barrier. She understood that the energy interference source needed to be at close range to be most effective, and that was her only hope!
"Boom!" An energy wave grazed her arm, and the intense pain made her groan, but she did not stop. She gritted her teeth and continued to sprint forward.
Closer, even closer! Mu Xue could already feel the terrifying energy fluctuations emanating from the barrier, as if she were in the eye of a raging storm, about to be swallowed up at any moment.
"Now!" Mu Xue seized an opening, lunged forward, and rolled to the bottom of the barrier.
"Mu Xue!" The team members' hearts were in their throats as they watched her every move with bated breath.
Ignoring her injuries, Mu Xue trembled as she pulled out the energy interference source from her bosom, aimed it at the energy core of the barrier, and began the final adjustments.
"Buzzing..." The energy interference source emitted a series of buzzing sounds, and the surrounding energy fluctuations became more violent, while the barrier's attack frequency increased.
"Ah!" Mu Xue was hit in the back by an energy wave, and was thrown away, spitting out a mouthful of blood.
But she did not give up, and she absolutely could not give up!
Mu Xue struggled to her feet and rushed to the source of the interference, using her last bit of strength to maximize the energy output...
A crisp beep sounded, signaling that the energy interference source had been activated!
"Ning Yu, look!" The team member pointed in Mu Xue's direction, his voice trembling with excitement. Ning Yu, who had been suppressed by Ying, was extremely anxious but helpless. Hearing the team member's shout, he suddenly looked up and saw Mu Xue being blasted away by the energy wave.
"Mu Xue!" Ning Yu's eyes widened in horror, a surge of immense fear rising within him. He struggled desperately to break free from Ying's grasp, but to no avail.
Ying let out a contemptuous sneer: "Your little beauty is no good, you should worry about yourself!"
Ning Yu ignored him, staring intently in Mu Xue's direction, his eyes filled with worry and anticipation.
Seeing Mu Xue's fearless courage, the other team members were inspired by her bravery and their hearts were filled with passion.
"Our captain risked his life for us, what do we have to be afraid of!"
"Let's fight them!"
The team members roared and unleashed their strongest power. Multicolored supernatural energy intertwined to form light screens, desperately resisting the barrier's attacks.
"Boom boom boom..." Explosions echoed one after another, shaking the team members and making their blood boil, but not one of them retreated even a step. They knew that every second they held on, Mu Xue would have a better chance.
