Ning Yu charged towards the giant python, which immediately focused its attention on him, opening its blood-red maw and unleashing a stench that seemed ready to devour him whole. Ning Yu rolled to the side, barely dodging the fatal blow. The python's attack missed, and its thick tail swept across, but Ning Yu leaped into the air, narrowly avoiding it.
The giant python's attacks were as relentless as a storm, and Ning Yu was constantly dodging, but he maintained a calm mind, searching for an opportunity to counterattack. He understood that he had to buy as much time as possible to create an opportunity for Mu Xue and the others to attack.
Mu Xue was extremely anxious and wanted to help Ning Yu, but was held back by the other team members. "Captain, we must trust Ning Yu!" a team member said in a deep voice, "Rushing in now will only make things worse for him!"
Mu Xue bit her lip tightly, her beautiful eyes filled with worry. She knew this perfectly well, but seeing Ning Yu in such dire straits under the giant python's attack, how could she wait patiently?
"Prepare to attack!" Just then, the vice-captain, who had been observing the battle, suddenly roared, "Aim at its belly, right at its seven-inch mark!"
The team members were energized and gathered their supernatural abilities, preparing to deliver a fatal blow to the giant python.
Ning Yu was still struggling against the giant python. His supernatural power was being greatly depleted, and his movements were gradually becoming sluggish. Seizing the opportunity, the giant python launched its massive body out like lightning, tightly coiling around Ning Yu.
"Ning Yu!" Mu Xue exclaimed in surprise, her heart feeling as if it had been gripped tightly.
Ning Yu felt short of breath, as if his bones were about to be crushed. He mustered all his strength, gathering his last bit of supernatural power in his hand, and slammed it into the giant python's eye!
The giant python winced in pain, its massive body trembling slightly, and the force binding Ning Yu loosened for a moment...
"Now!" the vice-captain roared.
"boom!"
The energy sphere, imbued with Ning Yu's last remaining strength, slammed into the giant python's eye. The python roared in pain, its massive body thrashing violently. The grip on Ning Yu loosened for a moment.
In that instant! Ning Yu seized the opportunity, slipping away from the giant python's grasp like an eel. He rolled several times on the ground, quickly increasing the distance between himself and the python.
"Ning Yu!" Mu Xue's heart almost stopped. She breathed a sigh of relief when she saw Ning Yu was out of danger.
However, Ning Yu's condition was not good. He was covered in blood, his clothes torn in many places, revealing gruesome wounds underneath. The giant python's scales were as sharp as knives; even the brief coiling of the python had left several deep, bone-revealing wounds on his body.
The giant python was completely enraged. Its scarlet eyes were filled with savagery and killing intent as it pounced madly at Ning Yu.
"Captain!" The team members' hearts were in their throats.
Ning Yu endured the excruciating pain, knowing he was at his wit's end. Faced with the giant python's attack, he didn't even have the strength to dodge.
"Ning Yu!" Mu Xue called out his name in despair, her beautiful eyes filled with tears.
At the critical moment, a figure rushed out like lightning and stood in front of Ning Yu.
The giant python's massive body slammed violently into that figure.
Dust filled the air, obscuring everyone's view.
"Ah Xue!" Ning Yu's eyes widened in horror.
As the smoke cleared, everyone was able to see what was happening before them.
Mu Xue stood in front of Ning Yu, her slender arms covered with a thick layer of ice armor, which blocked the giant python's attack.
"Are you crazy?!" Ning Yu's eyes were bloodshot as she abruptly pulled Mu Xue behind her.
A trickle of blood escaped from the corner of Mu Xue's mouth, her face as pale as paper, but she still managed a weak smile for Ning Yu: "Don't worry, I'm fine..."
The giant python was completely enraged. It let out a deafening roar and pounced on Ning Yu and Mu Xue once again.
"Prepare to attack!" the vice-captain roared, his hand gripping his weapon, veins bulging.
The team members held their breath, focused their superpowers to the extreme, and aimed at the giant python's vital spot.
"Wait!" Ning Yu suddenly shouted, "Don't attack! You..."
Seeing Ning Yu and Mu Xue cornered by the giant python, the team members couldn't resist launching an attack prematurely. They knew the python's weakness lay in its vital spot; a successful strike would end the battle. However, the python was too fast and its attacks too powerful. A slight miscalculation would cause their attacks to miss, and they would be met with the python's relentless and furious retaliation.
"Captain! Vice-Captain! Give the order! We can't wait any longer!" a team member shouted, his eyes red and his voice trembling. The others gripped their weapons tightly, their gazes fixed firmly on their leader, awaiting the final command.
The vice-captain's palms were sweaty. He turned to look at Ning Yu, only to see Ning Yu shake his head, signaling him not to act rashly. He understood Ning Yu's meaning; once they made a move, there would be no turning back.
Ning Yu was still dodging the giant python's attacks. His strength was severely depleted, and his movements had become much slower. Suddenly, his foot slipped, and he fell heavily to the ground.
"Ning Yu!" Mu Xue couldn't help but exclaim in shock, her heart feeling as if it were being gripped tightly by an invisible hand, almost suffocating her.
Seeing Ning Yu fall to the ground, a cruel gleam of pleasure flashed in the giant python's crimson eyes. It raised its head high, its massive body arching, ready to deliver a fatal blow.
"No!" Mu Xue closed her eyes in despair, unable to bear the sight of Ning Yu being devoured by the giant python. The team members also kept their mouths tightly shut, not daring to make a sound, for fear of disturbing this final moment of peace.
Just as the giant python was about to attack Ning Yu, Ning Yu suddenly disappeared.
