The python's gaping maw was inches away, its stench overwhelming Ning Yu. He could even see the nauseating mucus deep in its throat. The shadow of death loomed over him, but he didn't close his eyes. Instead, he stared even wider, his gaze fixed intently on the gaping maw.
"Concentrate! Concentrate!" Ning Yu repeatedly told himself, desperately trying to mobilize that faint supernatural power. Veins bulged on his forehead, and sweat rolled down like broken beads, soaking his clothes, but he was completely unaware, all his attention focused on that faint light deep in his dantian. However, that power seemed to be deliberately opposing him, flickering and difficult to gather.
"Damn it!" Ning Yu couldn't help but curse under his breath, his heart filled with anxiety.
"Ning Yu!" Mu Xue was frantic with worry, watching helplessly as the giant python's fangs were about to touch Ning Yu. She gritted her teeth, trying to muster the last bit of her supernatural power to attack the python's eyes. However, this attack was like a tickle to the enormous python; it not only had no effect but also further enraged it.
The giant python let out a deafening roar, its massive body twisting violently, sending surrounding trees flying and dust billowing. Ning Yu was thrown to the ground by this powerful force; he struggled to get up, but found himself completely unable to move.
Despair overwhelmed him like a tidal wave. Was he really going to die here?
Just then, Ning Yu suddenly felt a burning sensation rise from his dantian and quickly spread throughout his body. He was overjoyed; could it be…?
Without a second thought, he immediately focused his mind, guiding the power towards his palm. However, the power seemed to be deliberately working against him, sometimes surging and sometimes weak, completely out of his control.
With the giant python's gaping maw almost within reach, Ning Yu was extremely anxious but helpless.
"Ning Yu, get out of the way!" Mu Xue's desperate cry rang in his ears, but Ning Yu didn't even have the strength to move a finger.
The giant python opened its blood-red maw, and a foul stench assaulted Ning Yu's nostrils. Ning Yu could even feel the hissing sound of its sharp fangs cutting through the air.
At this critical moment, Ning Yu suddenly felt a powerful force surging out from deep within his body...
"boom--"
A deafening roar shook the earth.
"Ning Yu!"
Mu Xue gasped in surprise, straining to open her eyes, only to be met with a sight she could hardly believe…
The giant python's gaping maw, carrying the stench of blood and death, snapped down. Ning Yu could even feel the warm, moist mouth and the icy coldness of its sharp fangs. Just when he thought he was doomed, a powerful force suddenly erupted from deep within his body.
That faint supernatural power erupted like a volcano, forming a thin shield that blocked Ning Yu's path. The giant python's fangs bit into the shield, producing a teeth-grinding "crunch."
Time seemed to stand still. Ning Yu stared wide-eyed at the giant python so close to him, and could even see a hint of surprise flash across its cold, vertical pupils.
Although the shield had blocked the fatal blow, it teetered precariously under the giant python's powerful bite, like a candle flame in a storm, ready to be extinguished at any moment. Ning Yu's body was under immense pressure, his bones groaning under the strain. He gritted his teeth, desperately summoning every ounce of strength within him to maintain the shield's existence.
"Ning Yu!" Mu Xue exclaimed, snapping out of her shock. She saw Ning Yu trapped in the giant python's mouth, his life hanging by a thread, and her heart was filled with anxiety.
"Hold on! Ning Yu! Hold on!" Mu Xue shouted hoarsely, her voice trembling with tears. She struggled to stand up, but collapsed to the ground again due to exhaustion.
The giant python seemed enraged by Ning Yu's sudden resistance. It frantically shook its head, trying to throw Ning Yu away. Ning Yu's body swayed violently with the python's movements. He felt as if his internal organs were about to be shattered, but he still clung to the shield, refusing to give up hope of survival.
"Ah—" Ning Yu let out a painful roar, large beads of sweat rolling down his forehead, but he still gritted his teeth and persevered.
In the distance, the team members who witnessed everything rushed over. When they saw Ning Yu trapped by the giant python and on the verge of death, they were extremely anxious.
"team leader!"
"Boss!"
The team members shouted anxiously, but were at a loss. They tried to find something useful around them to help Ning Yu, but all they could find were cold stones and trees knocked down by the giant python, which were of no use.
"What should we do? What should we do?" a team member asked anxiously, his voice trembling slightly.
All eyes were on Mu Xue, waiting for their strategist to offer a plan to save Ning Yu. However, Mu Xue bit her lip tightly, her gaze fixed on Ning Yu, and remained silent.
"Stone!"
Suddenly, as if remembering something, Mu Xue stood up abruptly, pointed to a pile of rubble in the distance, and said urgently and firmly, "Move the rocks! Smash it to death!"
Upon hearing Mu Xue's command, the team members were initially taken aback, but quickly reacted and rushed towards the pile of rubble. The giant python was enormous, and ordinary attacks were insignificant to it; only these heavy stones might become their last resort.
"Quick! Move the big ones! Lift them together!" a team member shouted, taking the lead in lifting a huge rock and running towards the giant python. The others also sprang into action, working in pairs and groups of three, using all their strength to move the heavy rocks around the python.
