Before the foul-smelling blood even hit the ground, the giant python opened its cold, vertical pupils again! Ignoring the wounds on its body still emitting black smoke, it struggled to raise its head and stared intently at Ning Yu. In its eyes, resentment intensified, but fear and apprehension were also present.
Ning Yu keenly sensed the giant python's unusual behavior. It was afraid! Afraid of the strange power that had suddenly surged within him. This calmed his previously uneasy heart somewhat.
"Come on!" Ning Yu roared inwardly, trying to once again mobilize the power surging wildly within him. He could feel it like a blazing flame, rampaging through his meridians, yet it was difficult to control with his own will.
"Damn it!" Ning Yu cursed under his breath, fine beads of sweat appearing on his forehead.
The giant python seemed to sense Ning Yu's anxiety, and it moved its massive body more cautiously, inching closer to Ning Yu. Its scarlet forked tongue flickered, and its cold, vertical pupils never left the golden light that flickered intermittently around Ning Yu—a sign of mysterious power uncontrollably leaking out.
Ning Yu dared not delay any longer. He forced himself to calm down and tried to sense and guide that violent power. He closed his eyes and immersed himself in his body, trying to feel the flow of that power and find its patterns.
Seeing Ning Yu close his eyes, a cunning glint flashed in the giant python's eyes. Without hesitation, it suddenly opened its blood-red maw and pounced on Ning Yu with lightning speed!
"Ning Yu!" Mu Xue exclaimed in surprise.
Just as the giant python was about to bite Ning Yu, Ning Yu suddenly opened his eyes, a glint of light flashing in them. "Now!" He abruptly raised his right hand...
Ning Yu tried his best to concentrate, attempting to gather that violent power together. He felt like an apprentice facing a raging beast, trying to guide it with a thin rope. This power was so strong, yet so unfamiliar; the slightest mistake could lead to its backlash.
Time seemed to stand still at that moment. The giant python's gaping maw was almost within reach, and a foul stench assaulted Ning Yu's nostrils. He could even feel the chilling aura emanating from its sharp fangs.
"Concentrate! Concentrate!" Ning Yu kept telling himself. He cleared his mind of all distractions and focused all his attention on controlling this power.
Finally, he sensed a subtle connection. The power seemed to sense his will and began to docile, no longer rampaging wildly within him as before, but slowly converging towards his right hand.
"Now!" Ning Yu suddenly opened his eyes, a glint of light flashing in them.
He raised his right hand, palm facing the giant python that was almost within reach. A golden light gathered in his palm, forming a small energy beam that shot towards the python with an aura of destruction!
The giant python seemed to sense the danger and tried to dodge, but it was too slow. The energy beam struck the python's side with a dull thud.
The giant python's massive body was sent flying, crashing heavily to the ground and creating a huge crater. A charred hole appeared on its body, from which green blood gushed.
Ning Yu did not lower his guard. He knew that this giant python was extremely resilient, and such a single attack was not enough to kill it.
Sure enough, the giant python struggled to its feet, furiously lashing its tail and letting out a deafening roar. Its eyes were filled with resentment and rage as it stared intently at Ning Yu, as if it wanted to tear him to pieces.
Ning Yu took a deep breath, preparing to launch another attack, but to his horror, he discovered that the mysterious power had vanished!
"What's going on?" Ning Yu felt a sense of foreboding.
The giant python wouldn't give him any chance to breathe. It was completely enraged, roaring and charging at Ning Yu with all its might, its fury raging.
"Ning Yu, watch out!" Mu Xue's voice rang out from afar, but it was too late...
Enraged, the giant python roared madly, as if the earth itself trembled, and then charged at Ning Yu with all its might. Ning Yu inwardly groaned; he wanted to unleash that mysterious power again, but it seemed to have vanished suddenly, and no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't summon it again.
"Damn it!" Ning Yu cursed under his breath. Now he could only dodge the giant python's attack again. He rolled away, barely avoiding the python's gaping maw, but the python's tail was like a huge steel whip, sweeping towards him with a whistling sound.
With a muffled thud, Ning Yu was unable to dodge in time and was struck by the giant python's tail, sending him flying and crashing heavily into a huge rock.
"Pfft!" A mouthful of blood gushed from Ning Yu's mouth. His body was exhausted to the extreme, and every dodge was extremely difficult. He struggled to stand up, but the giant python had already pounced on him again. The stench hit him, and the shadow of death loomed over his heart.
Just then, a dark figure suddenly darted out from the side and pulled Ning Yu away. Ning Yu looked up and saw that it was Mu Xue who had arrived in time.
"Are you alright?" Mu Xue asked with concern, her face full of anxiety.
"I'm fine." Ning Yu shook his head. He tried to stand up, but found that he couldn't move his body. The giant python's attack had injured his internal organs.
"Don't move, I'll deal with it!" Mu Xue said, gently placing Ning Yu on the ground before turning to face the giant python.
