Chapter 219 A Glimmer of Light, Hope Still Exists

Mu Xue gritted her teeth and desperately maintained her mental barrier, but she could feel her power rapidly draining away, and the giant python's struggles were becoming more and more intense, as if it would break free from her restraints at any moment.

A deafening roar, as if the heavens and earth were collapsing, shook the entire space violently. Just as Ning Yu adjusted his strategy, the barrier finally succumbed to the giant python's attack and shattered. The giant python lunged at Ning Yu again; could he launch a counterattack in time?

The moment the barrier shattered, Mu Xue groaned, a trickle of blood spilling from the corner of her mouth, and staggered backward. The colossal python's massive body pressed down like a small mountain, its stench overwhelming and nauseating. Ning Yu saw the python open its blood-red maw, its sharp fangs gleaming coldly, and his heart sank. In that split second, without time to think, he instinctively leaped to the side, barely dodging the python's fatal blow.

"Boom!" The giant python's massive head slammed into the ground with a deafening roar, sending debris flying and dust billowing everywhere. Ning Yu rolled over to steady himself, not bothering to brush the dust off his clothes, and immediately looked up to check on Mu Xue's condition.

Mu Xue's face was pale, and her breathing was erratic, clearly due to excessive mental exhaustion. She barely managed to steady herself, a bitter smile tugging at the corner of her lips. "It seems we really are going to die here this time."

"Don't talk nonsense!" Ning Yu said in a deep voice, his tone filled with unwavering determination. "None of us will die!"

He took a deep breath, forcibly suppressing the panic and worry in his heart. Now was not the time to despair; they had to find hope for survival, even if it was just a glimmer of light!

The giant python, having missed its attack, angrily lashed out with its massive tail, sweeping across the area. Ning Yu's eyes sharpened, and he pulled Mu Xue aside, narrowly avoiding the python's attack.

"How are you? Can you still hold on?" Ning Yu asked with concern.

"Don't worry, I'm not that easy to fall." Mu Xue took a deep breath, enduring the dizziness caused by the exhaustion of her mental energy. "However, our current strength is simply not enough to fight it. We must find a way..."

Before she could finish speaking, the giant python attacked again. It seemed to have lost its patience, and each attack was filled with a destructive force, giving Ning Yu and Mu Xue no chance to catch their breath.

Ning Yu dodged the giant python's attacks time and time again, his wounds multiplying, blood staining his clothes. But he never gave up; his eyes were firm and resolute, as if burning with an inextinguishable flame.

He knew there was no turning back now; he had to fight with all his might to carve a bloody path for himself and Mu Xue!

The giant python lunged again, but he didn't flinch. He unleashed the power he had gathered in his hands—his final counterattack. "Xue'er, close your eyes!"
