The giant python crashed to the ground, raising a cloud of dust. Before Ning Yu could even catch his breath, the dark shadow was already before him. The enormous snake head opened its blood-red maw once more, and a stench assaulted his nostrils, as if it wanted to swallow him whole.
At the critical moment, Ning Yu's body reacted instinctively. He rolled away to avoid the giant python's fangs, but the sharp teeth still grazed his arm, leaving a deep, bone-revealing gash.
"Ning Yu!" Mu Xue's heart-wrenching cry came from afar. She anxiously wanted to go forward to help, but she was tightly entangled by several mutated beasts and could not break free at all.
Ning Yu gritted his teeth and forced himself to get up from the ground despite the excruciating pain. The giant python's attacks came like a storm, and he could only desperately dodge, with no chance to fight back.
"Stay calm, you must stay calm!" Ning Yu kept telling himself. He knew that in the face of absolute power, panic would only hasten his death.
While dodging the giant python's attacks, he kept glancing at the red mark flashing on its chest. For some reason, he had a strong premonition that this mark held the key to breaking the deadlock!
The giant python's attacks grew increasingly fierce, and Ning Yu's strength gradually gave out. His clothes were torn to shreds, and his body was covered with wounds of all sizes, his clothes stained with blood.
"Am I really going to die here today?" A sense of despair rose in Ning Yu's heart.
Just then, he suddenly noticed that whenever the red light on the python's body flashed, its movements would slow down briefly, as if it were being restrained by something.
“This is…” Ning Yu’s heart stirred, and a bold idea emerged in his mind.
He took a deep breath and forced himself to calm down. He knew that he only had one chance, and if he missed it, there would be no chance to turn things around.
He stared intently at the mark on the python's chest, waiting for the red light to flash again...
"Ning Yu, what are you doing?! No..." Mu Xue's voice was filled with worry and fear, but before she could finish speaking, Ning Yu had already moved.
The red light flashed again! Now! Ning Yu no longer hesitated, charging towards the giant python like an arrow released from a bow. The giant python seemed to sense the threat, its massive body twisting violently, trying to stop Ning Yu from getting closer. But Ning Yu's movements were too fast; he was like a black lightning bolt, weaving back and forth beside the giant python, dodging its frenzied attacks.
"Ning Yu, be careful!" Mu Xue's heart was in her throat. She tried her best to get rid of the mutated beasts, but these monsters were like madmen, holding her back tightly.
Ning Yu had already rushed to the giant python's chest. He leaped high into the air, the dagger in his hand gleaming coldly, and thrust it straight at the red-glowing mark.
The giant python seemed to sense Ning Yu's intention. It let out a deafening roar, and its massive tail swept across like a steel whip. Ning Yu couldn't dodge in time and was swept away, crashing heavily to the ground.
"Pfft!" Ning Yu spat out a mouthful of blood, as if his internal organs had shifted. The excruciating pain made his vision go black, and he almost fainted. The giant python's scarlet eyes stared intently at him, filled with mockery and killing intent.
"Ning Yu!" Mu Xue cried out in despair, tears blurring her vision. She struggled desperately to save Ning Yu, but was knocked away by the mutated beast and fell heavily to the ground.
The giant python slowly crawled towards Ning Yu, each step feeling like it was treading on Ning Yu's heart, filling him with a suffocating despair. It opened its blood-red maw, and a foul stench assaulted his senses, as if it would devour him completely at any moment.
"Am I really going to die here?" Ning Yu's consciousness began to blur. He felt his eyelids getting heavier and heavier, as if a thousand-pound weight was pressing on them, making it impossible for him to open them.
But just then, he felt a warmth in his palm—it was the jade pendant he had been holding tightly! A warm current flowed down his arm and through his entire body, miraculously dispelling the pain in his body and instantly clearing his confused mind.
Ning Yu struggled to his feet, his strength nearly exhausted. Knowing this was his last chance, he gritted his teeth against his injuries and focused his energy on attacking the marked location. The giant python seemed to sense the intense fighting spirit emanating from Ning Yu. It twisted its body uneasily, emitting low growls, its scarlet eyes gleaming with ferocity. It opened its blood-red maw, a foul stench mixed with nauseating slime, and spewed it towards Ning Yu…
A stench assaulted his nostrils, yet Ning Yu unleashed astonishing willpower in that life-or-death moment. Like a dying beast, his eyes gleamed with unwavering resolve. He knew this was his last chance; victory or defeat hinged on this!
The colossal python's massive body, accompanied by a foul stench, pressed down on Ning Yu, as if to crush him completely. Ning Yu's gaze was fixed on the red mark flashing on the python's chest—his last hope!
Time seemed to stand still at that moment, and Ning Yu could hear his own heart pounding like a drum. He endured the excruciating pain throughout his body, summoned the last bit of energy within him, and launched a fierce attack towards the mark.
"Die!" Ning Yu roared, placing all his hopes on this final blow.
The attack was lightning fast, striking the mark precisely. The python's body stiffened abruptly, as if frozen in time. The next second, it suddenly let out a deafening roar, its massive body trembling violently, as if enduring immense pain.
Seeing this, Ning Yu and Mu Xue, who was not far away, both felt a glimmer of hope. Could it be that they had really succeeded?
But they soon discovered that things weren't so simple. Although the giant python was in excruciating pain, it didn't collapse; instead, it struggled even more violently. Its scarlet eyes were filled with hatred and rage as it stared intently at Ning Yu, as if it wanted to devour him alive.
