The black smoke, like a leech, spread rapidly, enveloping Ning Yu. The pungent smell assaulted his brain, making him dizzy and his vision blur and spin. He endured the discomfort, held his breath, and groped his way backward.
"Ning Yu!" Mu Xue called out anxiously from afar, but her voice was drowned out by the deafening roar. She tried to rush over, but was entangled by several smaller mutated creatures and could only watch helplessly as Ning Yu was swallowed by the black mist.
Seeing Ning Yu trapped by the black mist, a cunning glint flashed in the giant python's eyes. Instead of attacking, it coiled up in place, looking down at Ning Yu as if enjoying the ugly spectacle of its prey's death throes.
In the thick fog, Ning Yu couldn't see his surroundings and could only rely on his intuition to feel his way forward. He didn't know what the black fog was, but his intuition told him that it was definitely not a good thing.
"Damn it!" Ning Yu cursed under his breath, his heart filled with anxiety. He knew he was like a turtle in a jar, completely at their mercy.
The giant python wouldn't give Ning Yu a chance to catch his breath. Seizing the opportunity, it shot out like an arrow, opened its blood-red maw, and bit down hard in Ning Yu's direction.
"You beast, you won't get away with this!" Ning Yu roared, and in this critical moment, the power within him was fully unleashed. He pushed his hands forward, and a dazzling light burst forth from his palms, forming an indestructible light shield in front of him.
"boom!"
The giant python's fangs slammed into the light shield with a deafening roar. The powerful impact forced Ning Yu to retreat, his feet carving two deep furrows in the ground.
Seeing that its first attack missed, the giant python did not give up. It twisted its agile body and launched fierce attacks on Ning Yu again and again. Each impact caused the light shield to tremble violently, as if it would shatter at any moment.
Ning Yu gritted his teeth and persevered, large beads of sweat rolling down his forehead. He knew that his current strength was insufficient to contend with the giant python, and he had to find a way to escape as soon as possible.
Just then, Ning Yu suddenly sensed that the black smoke enveloping him was slowly moving towards the light shield...
The black smoke sizzled as it struck the light shield, like boiling oil poured onto ice, sending up plumes of acrid white smoke. Under the eerie erosion of this smoke, the light shield visibly thinned, its once dazzling light dimming and flickering, like a candle in the wind, threatening to go out at any moment. Ning Yu felt a suction force emanating from the smoke, as if trying to drag him into an endless abyss. His internal energy was rapidly depleting, and a fine layer of sweat beaded on his forehead.
In the distance, Mu Xue witnessed all of this, her heart filled with anxiety. She brandished her long whip, lashing out at several mutated creatures that tried to approach, and cried out anxiously, "Ning Yu, hold on!" She wanted to rush over to help, but she knew perfectly well that her strength was no match for the giant python, and rushing over now would only be a futile act of suicide.
"Cough cough..." Ning Yu coughed, choked by the smoke. He felt his breathing becoming difficult, and his vision becoming blurred due to the smoke. He tried to concentrate and see his surroundings clearly, but all he could see was a hazy gray fog.
Seeing Ning Yu gradually weaken, the giant python's eyes flashed with a cruel joy. It let out a deafening roar, seemingly mocking Ning Yu's powerlessness.
"Ning Yu, hold on, I will definitely find a way to save you!" Mu Xue's voice came from afar, her tone tinged with tears, but her hands did not stop moving at all. She wielded her long whip with great force, carving a bloody path through the encirclement of mutated creatures.
"No, at this rate I'll be worn down sooner or later..." Ning Yu felt his power rapidly draining away, and the light shield flickering more and more violently, on the verge of shattering. His mind raced, desperately searching for a way to break the deadlock.
Just then, he suddenly felt the tattoo on his wrist warm slightly, and a strange energy flowed into his body through the tattoo, infusing him with a new strength. Ning Yu's heart skipped a beat, and he subconsciously clenched his fist...
"Hiss..." The giant python seemed to sense something, and suddenly raised its head, its scarlet tongue flickering as it stared intently at Ning Yu, a hint of fear flashing in its eyes.
"What's wrong?" Mu Xue also noticed the giant python's unusual behavior, and a glimmer of hope rose in her heart. Could it be that Ning Yu still had a trump card?
Ning Yu took a deep breath, a resolute smile appearing on his lips, and whispered, "Beast, you forced me to this..." The giant python seemed to sense Ning Yu's desperate struggle, letting out a chilling hiss. The black smoke surged forth even more intensely, as if to devour the entire world. The light shield could no longer withstand such a fierce attack, shattering into starlight with a "bang" and dissipating into the air.
"Ning Yu!" Mu Xue cried out in alarm, but there was nothing she could do. She watched helplessly as Ning Yu was completely swallowed by the black smoke, feeling as if an invisible hand was gripping her heart so tightly that she could hardly breathe.
Ning Yu was enveloped in thick smoke, his vision completely dark, and the pungent smell made him cough violently. He felt his breathing becoming increasingly difficult, and the power in his body was rapidly draining away, as if being swallowed up bit by bit by this eerie smoke.
He knew that he had reached a critical juncture of life and death.
Seeing Ning Yu in trouble, the giant python's eyes flashed with a cruel joy. Its massive body shot towards Ning Yu like an arrow, opening its blood-red maw, wanting to swallow him whole.
