Finally, the last second seemed to slowly fall off the scales, and ten minutes had passed!
Ning Yu suddenly opened his eyes, a sharp light shooting out from them, illuminating the dimly lit training ground around him. He slowly exhaled a breath of stale air; the previously violent energy had now become incredibly docile, like a tamed wild beast, quietly lying dormant within his body, obeying his commands.
"It's a success!"
Someone shouted first, and then the entire training ground erupted in cheers and applause that filled the sky. Dr. Zhao and Brother Wu rushed out from their hiding place and excitedly ran to Ning Yu.
"Well done! Captain Ning, you did it!" Brother Wu patted Ning Yu's shoulder excitedly, his eyes full of admiration and worship.
Dr. Zhao was so excited that he was incoherent. He adjusted his glasses and said in a trembling voice, "Captain Ning... no, Mr. Ning, you are truly amazing! You are the first person to be able to stably control your superpower for ten minutes! This... this is simply a miracle!"
Looking at the faces around him, flushed with excitement, Ning Yu's lips curled into a slight smile. He knew he had succeeded; he had finally overcome the problem that had troubled him for so long.
"This is just the beginning." Ning Yu took a deep breath and looked firmly into the distance. He knew that he still had a long way to go in this dangerous post-nuclear war world.
"Tick-tock, tick-tock..." A series of faint footsteps came from the direction of the base gate, breaking the joyful atmosphere on the training ground. Ning Yu keenly noticed this change, and he slowly turned around, his eyes gradually becoming sharp.
"It seems our guests have arrived."
"Come out now that you're here. Hiding isn't a good habit." Ning Yu's tone was calm, yet carried an undeniable air of authority.
As he finished speaking, the base gate slowly opened, and a team of people dressed in black combat uniforms walked in. Each of them exuded a chilling killing intent, clearly not to be trifled with. The leader was a tall man with a hideous scar on his face, stretching from the corner of his left eye to the corner of his mouth, making him look even more ferocious.
"Ning Yu?" The scarred man sized Ning Yu up, a hint of contempt in his voice. "I heard you're quite capable, but you're unlucky to have fallen into my hands today!"
"Oh?" Ning Yu remained unmoved, a playful smile curving his lips. "I'd like to see how you're going to make me unlucky."
"Hmph, stubborn as ever!" the scarred man sneered. "Get him!"
At his command, the men in black behind him charged towards Ning Yu like tigers descending a mountain. They were all well-trained warriors, ruthless and deadly in their attacks. However, they were facing Ning Yu, a powerful figure who had experienced countless life-or-death trials. Ning Yu moved like lightning, weaving freely through the crowd. Every strike was incredibly precise, always managing to defeat his opponents with minimal cost.
In no time, most of the men in black had fallen, while Ning Yu was unharmed and his breathing was perfectly normal.
"Useless! A bunch of useless trash!" the scarred man roared in exasperation. He never expected Ning Yu to be so powerful that the people he brought couldn't even withstand a single move from him.
He gritted his teeth, drew a sharp dagger from his waist, and charged towards Ning Yu, shouting, "Kid, I'll kill you!"
The scarred man was incredibly fast, rushing to Ning Yu in the blink of an eye. His dagger, gleaming with a sharp, cold light, was aimed straight at Ning Yu's heart.
Ning Yu's eyes narrowed. Without dodging or flinching, his right hand shot out like lightning and firmly grasped the scarred man's wrist.
"You're too slow," Ning Yu said calmly, with a hint of sarcasm in his voice.
The scarred man's expression changed drastically. He felt as if his wrist was being clamped by iron clamps, and he couldn't move it.
"you……"
However, before he could speak, Ning Yu suddenly exerted force in his hand, and a powerful force instantly surged into his body.
"ah!"
The scarred man let out a scream as his body flew backward like a kite with a broken string, crashing heavily to the ground, his fate unknown.
"Pathetic." Ning Yu clapped his hands, as if he had only done a trivial thing.
He looked around; the remaining men in black were trembling with fear, their eyes filled with terror.
"Get lost! Tell the people behind you that if they want to deal with me, let them come to me personally!" Ning Yu said coldly, his voice filled with murderous intent.
The man in black, feeling as if he had been granted a pardon, scrambled out of the base.
"Team Leader Ning, are you alright?" Brother Wu ran up to him and asked with concern.
"It's nothing," Ning Yu shook his head. "They're just some minor characters."
He turned to Dr. Zhao, a smile appearing on his face. "Dr. Zhao, it seems our training has yielded good results."
Dr. Zhao adjusted his glasses, about to speak, when his expression suddenly changed. "Captain Ning, something terrible has happened!"
