He had previously tried to use his supernatural abilities to copy runes, but he overlooked the flow of energy itself.
Thinking of this, Ning Yu sat down cross-legged, closed his eyes, and slowly began to circulate the supernatural power within his body.
He no longer tried to replicate the shape of the rune, but instead channeled his power along the rune's trajectory, sensing the energy fluctuations contained within it.
Time passed second by second, and Ning Yu's face grew paler and paler, his forehead covered in sweat.
But he seemed to sense something; a subtle resonance arose between him and the barrier.
He opened his eyes, which gleamed with excitement.
"I think... I've found it." Ning Yu took a deep breath, concentrated all his remaining superpowers into his fingertips, and then slowly reached out towards the barrier.
This time, his fingertips were not repelled as before, but slowly merged into the barrier, like a drop of water merging into the ocean.
With a soft "click," a small crack appeared on the barrier.
"Ning Yu!" Mu Xue exclaimed in surprise.
Ning Yu did not answer. He gritted his teeth and poured the last bit of his supernatural power into it.
The cracks spread rapidly, and finally, with a loud "boom," the barrier shattered... Ning Yu's vision went black, and he collapsed.
"Ning Yu!" Mu Xue hurriedly helped him up, anxiously calling his name.
Behind the barrier lay a deep darkness, as if leading to another world… “Where…is this place?”
As darkness faded, Ning Yu slowly opened his eyes and found himself lying on a soft patch of grass, with a faint scent of fresh grass lingering around his nose.
He struggled to sit up, feeling extremely weak, as if his body had been hollowed out.
Mu Xue's anxious face came into view.
"You're awake! You scared me to death!" Mu Xue supported him, her eyes filled with worry. "I didn't know this was the place behind the barrier... I thought..."
Ning Yu looked around and found that they were in a valley, surrounded by lush trees and filled with birdsong and fragrant flowers, a stark contrast to the desolate and dilapidated scene they had just witnessed.
If he hadn't experienced it firsthand, he would have found it hard to believe that such a paradise still existed on Earth after a nuclear war.
"This... is the source of the wind?" Ning Yu murmured to himself, his heart filled with doubt.
In their previous understanding, the source of the wind should have been some kind of powerful energy source, not a tranquil valley like this.
"I don't know." Mu Xue shook her head. "I checked the surroundings and found no energy fluctuations or any signs of danger."
Ning Yu took a deep breath and forced himself to stand up despite feeling weak. "Since we're here, let's go in and take a look."
The two walked along a winding path in the valley.
After walking for a short while, they saw an ancient stone tablet in front of them. The tablet was engraved with some strange runes, which were similar to the runes on the barrier before, but were more complex.
Ning Yu walked to the stone tablet and carefully examined the runes on it, his brows furrowed.
He sensed a powerful force within these runes, but he couldn't understand their meaning.
“These runes…” Ning Yu was about to speak when he suddenly felt dizzy and his vision went black. He almost fell to the ground.
Mu Xue quickly supported him, "Ning Yu, what's wrong?"
Ning Yu shook his head, his face pale. "I'm fine, just a little tired." He paused, his gaze returning to the runes on the stone tablet. "I feel... these runes are calling to me..."
He reached out and gently touched the runes on the stone tablet with his fingertips.
A strange energy surged into his body through his fingertips, giving him a tingling sensation.
Suddenly, the runes on the stone tablet emitted a dazzling light, and Ning Yu felt his consciousness being sucked into it by a powerful force...
"Ning Yu!" Mu Xue exclaimed, but could only watch helplessly as Ning Yu's body was swallowed by the light... The light on the stone tablet gradually dissipated, and everything returned to calm, as if nothing had happened.
Mu Xue reached out her trembling hand and stroked the cold stone tablet, whispering, "I will wait for you here..."
