The pale golden light grew stronger, like the rising sun, illuminating the solemn faces of the two.
Ning Yu and Mu Xue knew this was their last chance.

They exchanged a glance and saw in each other's eyes a do-or-die determination.
"For the future!" Ning Yu roared, mobilizing all the remaining supernatural abilities he possessed.
His meridians were like a raging river, and the torrent of supernatural power crashed against his body, bringing waves of tearing pain.
But he gritted his teeth and refused to relax even a little.
Mu Xue was the same.
A resolute look appeared on her pale face, and her clenched fists trembled slightly.
She gathered all her power together, and an icy blue light shone in her hand, reflecting off Ning Yu's golden light to form an even more powerful force.
The two different superpowers are now perfectly integrated, like yin and yang, attracting and depending on each other.
They intertwined and spun together, eventually forming a dazzling sphere of light that hovered between the two.
"Are you ready?" Ning Yu's voice was a little hoarse, but the light in his eyes was exceptionally bright.
Mu Xue didn't answer, but simply nodded silently. She knew that no words were needed; their hearts were already connected.
"Let's begin!" Ning Yu suddenly pushed the ball of light towards the almost imperceptible energy vortex on the lower left of the barrier.
The ball of light sliced through the air with destructive force, heading straight for its target.
As if sensing a threat, the barrier's flashing runes suddenly became violent, and the energy flow intensified, attempting to block the approaching sphere of light.
However, the power of the light sphere was too great; it swept through everything in its path, breaking down the barrier's defenses layer by layer.
With a deafening roar, the ball of light crashed into the energy vortex.
In an instant, the entire space began to shake violently...
Ning Yu gripped Mu Xue's hand tightly, feeling the coldness of her palm. "The barrier...it seems..."
The force surged towards the barrier, causing it to emit a brilliant light once more, illuminating the entire space.
Within the light, the runes surged and rolled like boiling magma, radiating a chilling energy fluctuation.
Ning Yu and Mu Xue felt as if their bodies were being torn apart. The intense pain made it almost impossible for them to breathe, but they gritted their teeth and persevered, placing all their hopes on this final attack.
The energy vortex in the lower left corner of the barrier twisted violently under the impact of the light sphere, resembling a black hole about to collapse.
The surrounding runes also began to become disordered, flashing faster and faster, emitting sharp and piercing cries.
During the attack, fine cracks appeared on Mu Xue's body, like broken porcelain.
Ice-blue light seeped from the crack, enveloping her in a cold halo.
Her powers had exceeded her body's limits, but she still did not give up. She gritted her teeth and poured her last bit of strength into the sphere of light.
Ning Yu was very worried when he saw Mu Xue's condition.
He wanted to stop, but he knew he couldn't afford to be distracted right now.
If they fail this time, they will never have another chance.
He could only hold Mu Xue's hand tightly, supporting her with his own strength, hoping to share some of her pain.
"Hold on!" Ning Yu roared, his voice so hoarse it was almost inaudible.

The runes flashed faster and faster, and the energy fluctuations became more and more intense, as if they would devour them at any moment.

Suddenly, Mu Xue let out a muffled groan and spit out a mouthful of blood.
The cracks on her body grew larger and larger, and the icy blue light dimmed, as if it would be extinguished at any moment.
"Mu Xue!" Ning Yu exclaimed in shock, his heart filled with fear.
Just then, the energy vortex in the lower left corner of the barrier suddenly stopped spinning, emitting a crisp cracking sound… Ning Yu felt a powerful suction force pulling him violently towards the barrier… He gripped Mu Xue's hand tightly and shouted hoarsely, “Hold on tight…”
The barrier's resistance surged like a raging torrent, the runes flashing so fast they were almost invisible to the naked eye, and the energy fluctuations grew increasingly intense, as if it would engulf the two of them completely in the next second.
A sharp, piercing cry echoed through the space, like the wailing of a vengeful ghost, sending chills down one's spine.
Ning Yu felt his bones cracking and his meridians burning like red-hot wires, but he still stared intently at the barrier, refusing to relax even for a moment.
Mu Xue's condition was even worse; cracks had spread all over her body, and the icy blue light was flickering, like a candle in the wind, ready to be extinguished at any moment.
"Ning Yu...I...I'm about to die..." Mu Xue's voice was so weak it was almost inaudible, and the bloodstains at the corner of her mouth were shocking.
Ning Yu's heart sank. He knew that Mu Xue had reached her limit, but he could not give up. He had to persevere, for Mu Xue and for their shared future.
He gritted his teeth and frantically poured the last bit of his supernatural power into the sphere of light.
Just when they were about to give up, a small crack suddenly appeared in the lower left corner of the barrier, where the energy vortex collapsed.
