Gradually, he felt the raging power within him begin to regain some order. The power was still strong, but it was no longer as violent as before. Instead, under his guidance, it flowed slowly, like a rushing river gradually being drawn into its course.
Ning Yu's consciousness gradually returned as his strength subsided. He opened his eyes, a resolute light shining within them. He knew he had passed the most dangerous moment. He felt an unprecedented power surging within him, a power stronger and more controllable than anything he had ever possessed before.
He clenched his fist, feeling the surging power within him, and a smile appeared on his lips. He knew that he had surpassed himself once again.
“Congratulations,” a voice suddenly rang in his ear, deep and hoarse, “you succeeded…”
Ning Yu suddenly turned his head towards the direction from which the voice came, his pupils contracting sharply, "You..."
"Who is it?!" Ning Yu shouted sharply, warily scanning his surroundings. However, there was nothing but desolate ruins. Was it an illusion? He chuckled self-deprecatingly; perhaps it was due to excessive mental energy consumption during the evolution process.
He tried to mobilize the newly generated power within him, and a surge of energy, stronger and purer than ever before, flowed through his body. If his previous ability was a turbulent river, now it was like a vast ocean, deep and boundless. He even felt that he could manipulate the surrounding magnetic field, distort light, and even… control time!
Ning Yu suppressed his excitement, knowing that now was not the time to research new abilities. His immediate priority was to figure out what that voice he had just heard was all about.
"Don't be afraid, I mean you no harm." The voice rang out again, seemingly coming from all directions, carrying a strange ethereal quality. "I am the guardian of this power, you can call me..."
The sound stopped abruptly, as if forcibly interrupted.
"Guardian? What guardian?!" Ning Yu frowned and pressed, "Who exactly are you? Why are you helping me?"
However, no matter how he called out, the voice never appeared again. All around was deathly silent, save for the mournful sound of the wind blowing through the ruins.
Just then, Ning Yu's communicator suddenly rang, and a frantic call broke the silence: "Boss! Boss! It's Monkey, we've been ambushed... Ah..."
A burst of noise came through the communicator, then abruptly stopped.
Ning Yu's expression changed drastically, and his heart sank...
