The sharp blade tore through the air, its desperate strike aimed directly at Qin Tian's chest. However, at this critical moment, the expected splatter of blood did not occur. A cold smile curled at the corner of Qin Tian's lips, and his figure flickered like a ghost, easily dodging Ning Yu's fatal blow.
"Do you think the same tricks will work on me?" Qin Tian's voice was icy cold, as if it came from the deepest abyss, carrying a hint of mockery and disdain.
Ning Yu was startled, realizing something was wrong. He should have realized sooner that Qin Tian, as a spy lurking beside him, was far from simple in his cunning and abilities. That fleeting vulnerability just now might have been a deliberate act to lure him into a trap.
The eerie blue flames ignited again, even more fiercely than before, sweeping in like a roaring beast with destructive power. Ning Yu dared not be careless, retreating rapidly and narrowly avoiding being engulfed by the flames. Each attack carried a powerful energy fluctuation, seemingly shattering the surrounding space. Ning Yu could only dodge continuously, searching for an opportunity to counterattack.
"You can't escape!" Qin Tian roared. He had clearly realized that Ning Yu had discovered his secret, and now he no longer wanted to hide it. He just wanted to finish the battle quickly and completely eliminate Ning Yu.
A strange energy fluctuation emanated from Qin Tian, rapidly spreading throughout the entire space. Ning Yu felt as if his body was bound by an invisible force, and the flow of his supernatural energy became sluggish, making it difficult to unleash his full power.
“This is…” Ning Yu’s heart sank. He knew that this was another of Qin Tian’s superpowers, a power that could interfere with and suppress the opponent’s superpowers.
Without the boost from his superpower, Ning Yu's strength was greatly diminished, and his movements became sluggish. On the other hand, Qin Tian, after suppressing Ning Yu's superpower, attacked even more recklessly. His eerie blue flames, like venomous snakes, relentlessly approached Ning Yu, sealing off all his escape routes.
"boom!"
With a loud bang, Ning Yu was unable to dodge in time and was struck by a ball of flame. His body fell heavily to the ground like a kite with a broken string.
"Leader!" The members of the forces watching from afar were terrified when they saw Ning Yu get hit. Worry and fear spread across their faces. They wanted to rush over to help, but they were forced back by the energy fluctuations released by Qin Tian. They could only watch helplessly as Ning Yu fell.
"Hahaha, Ning Yu, you've finally met your match!" Qin Tian laughed loudly, his joy of victory blinding him and making him forget all caution. He walked step by step towards Ning Yu, who lay on the ground, looking down at him with mockery and smugness in his eyes. "I told you long ago, you're no match for me! Did you think your little tricks could fool me? Everything you did was under my control!"
Ning Yu lay on the ground, a trickle of blood escaping from the corner of his mouth, but he showed no panic whatsoever. Instead, a meaningful smile appeared on his face. He slightly turned his head, avoiding Qin Tian's burning gaze, and said in a low voice, "Is that so? You really think you've won?"
Qin Tian was stunned for a moment, then burst into laughter as if he had heard a funny joke: "Hahaha, even at this point, are you still trying to bluff? Look at yourself now, what ability do you have to fight me!"
"Whether we can fight or not isn't up to you to decide." Ning Yu's voice was soft, yet it carried an undeniable firmness. He slowly closed his eyes, as if gathering some power. The surrounding air began to stir restlessly, and an invisible energy fluctuation spread outwards from him.
The smile on Qin Tian's face gradually disappeared. He keenly sensed the strangeness around him, and a sense of unease rose in his heart. He was about to retreat when he found that his body seemed to be bound by something, unable to move.
"What...what did you do?" Qin Tian asked in terror, his voice trembling slightly.
Ning Yu did not answer. His eyes remained closed, but his body trembled slightly, as if he were enduring immense pain. Sweat beaded on his forehead, his jaw was clenched, and his lips were bitten until they bled, blood trickling from the corners of his mouth. Yet, he seemed oblivious to the pain, stubbornly persevering.
“Qin Tian,” Ning Yu suddenly spoke, his voice hoarse yet full of power, “You think you understand me, you think you control everything, but you’re wrong. What you see is only what I want you to see…”
Ning Yu abruptly opened his eyes, a glint of light flashing within them, illuminating the dim space. He slowly stood up, brushed the dust off his clothes, and a cold smile curled at the corner of his lips…
"Did you see that? This is your self-righteous control!" Ning Yu roared, forcefully breaking free from the energy interference. Intense pain surged like a tide, but he seemed oblivious, his eyes burning with an unwavering belief in victory. The upgraded system energy coursed through his body, the overwhelming power almost making him want to roar to the heavens.
Qin Tian watched helplessly as Ning Yu got up from the ground, his eyes flashing with a terrifying light, and an unprecedentedly powerful pressure locked onto him. He was horrified to find that he couldn't move an inch, like a rabbit being stared at by a giant python, only able to tremble.
"This...this is impossible!" Qin Tian exclaimed in horror, "How could you break free from my control? This power...what is it?"
Ning Yu ignored Qin Tian's terror. He slowly raised his hand, his palm gathering a heart-palm-like energy fluctuation, like a volcano about to erupt, containing terrifying power capable of destroying the world.
"You rely too much on your little bit of cleverness, Qin Tian," Ning Yu's voice was as cold as frost. "Do you think what you've seen is the whole truth? You're too arrogant..."
