Chapter 61 Seeking the Source of Power, Exploring a Perilous Path

"Welcome to... the source of energy." The voice was ethereal and seemed to come from all directions, but its exact location was unclear.

Ning Yu's heart skipped a beat. Suppressing his discomfort, he asked warily, "Who are you? Where is this place?"

Silence was the only response he received.

"Playing tricks!" Ning Yu snorted coldly, knowing he needed to figure out the situation as soon as possible. He lifted his foot to continue forward, but his gaze was suddenly drawn to the crystals shimmering with strange light beneath his feet. These crystals were of various shapes and sizes, emitting pale blue, purple, and red light, intertwined like a dreamlike galaxy.

Driven by curiosity, Ning Yu slowly crouched down and reached out to touch one of the pale blue crystals. However, just as his fingertips were about to touch the crystal, it suddenly shone brightly, and a blue electric current shot out like a serpent, striking Ning Yu's arm.

"hiss--"

The intense pain from the electric current made Ning Yu gasp. He quickly withdrew his hand and looked down to see a charred mark on his arm, followed by a numbing sensation that spread rapidly.

"Damn it!" Ning Yu's expression changed. He realized that these beautiful crystals were not benign and were likely some kind of dangerous trap. He quickly took a few steps back, increasing the distance between himself and the crystals, and scanned his surroundings warily, no longer daring to be careless.

Ning Yu took a deep breath, suppressing his unease. He knew he had to find a way out as soon as possible. He carefully moved among the crystals, his eyes constantly scanning his surroundings, trying to find some clues. However, just as he stepped over a red crystal, a sudden change occurred…

"Buzz—"

The red crystal seemed to have been flipped, suddenly vibrating violently. Then, as if a chain reaction had started, the surrounding crystals all lit up with blinding light...

Ning Yu's heart pounded with alarm bells, realizing something was wrong. The next second, multicolored beams of energy shot out from the crystal, weaving into a net of death that swept towards him relentlessly.

"Damn it!" Ning Yu cursed under his breath, retreating rapidly and narrowly avoiding the first wave of attacks. But he dared not relax for a moment. These energy beams were extremely fast and completely unpredictable. He could only rely on his keen senses and agile movements to dodge the dense attacks with difficulty.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

Energy beams relentlessly bombarded the ground and rock walls behind Ning Yu, creating deafening explosions, sending debris flying, and filling the air with dust. Ning Yu dared not linger; he dodged the attacks while carefully observing his surroundings, trying to find a way to escape.

Just then, he suddenly noticed that on a rock wall not far away, there was a deep entrance to a passage. The entrance was circular and shimmered with a faint white light, standing out starkly from the colorful surroundings.

Could that be the exit? Ning Yu was overjoyed and rushed towards the entrance of the passage without hesitation. However, just as he was about to reach the entrance, an invisible force suddenly surged out from the entrance, forming a barrier that blocked his way.

"What is that?" Ning Yu was startled and subconsciously reached out to touch the barrier. However, the moment his palm touched the barrier, a powerful force rebounded and sent him flying.

"Pfft!" Ning Yu fell heavily to the ground, spitting out a mouthful of blood. He struggled to stand up, but found that his body felt as if it had fallen apart, and he was in excruciating pain, unable to muster even a shred of strength.

He looked up at the entrance to the passage, his eyes filled with horror and resentment. He knew that the secret to leaving this place must be hidden there, but now he was powerless to explore it.

Worse still, Ning Yu felt an inexplicable force constantly eroding his body, and his power was rapidly draining away...

"I...can't fall..." Ning Yu gritted his teeth, forcing himself to get up from the ground. His gaze was fixed firmly on the entrance to the passage, and he muttered to himself, "I must find a way to break the seal..."

Waves of excruciating pain washed over Ning Yu, yet he seemed oblivious. He struggled to crawl to a rock, leaning against the cold stone wall, his gaze fixed intently on the invisible barrier. He knew time was running out; his power was rapidly draining away. If he couldn't find a way to break the seal, he would be trapped here forever, perhaps even…

He took a deep breath, enduring the excruciating pain in his body, and began to carefully sense the energy fluctuations of the seal. Those energy fluctuations were sometimes strong and sometimes weak, without any discernible pattern, as if an invisible hand was randomly manipulating his nerves.

Time ticked by, and Ning Yu's forehead was covered in sweat, his face growing paler. Yet, he never gave up; his gaze remained steadfast, like a rock, unshaken by any storm.

Suddenly, the surrounding air seemed to freeze, and a chilling aura silently spread. Ning Yu's alarm bells rang, and he abruptly opened his eyes, only to see several blurry black shadows that had appeared around him at some point.

The shadowy figures were like ghosts, without any physical form, yet they exuded a chilling aura. They floated silently in mid-air, their scarlet eyes fixed on Ning Yu, as if they were watching prey about to be captured.

"What the hell is this?" Ning Yu thought to himself, "This is bad." These ghostly things were clearly not to be trifled with, and they could penetrate his defenses and directly damage his soul.
