"Damn it!" Ning Yu gritted his teeth, desperately channeling the last of his supernatural power to try and resist the powerful suction. His feet sank deep into the ground, carving two deep furrows, but even so, he couldn't stop himself from being sucked into the energy ball.
"Is this fate?" A sense of despair welled up in Ning Yu's heart. Was he going to be devoured by this mysterious power after all the effort he had put in to get here?
No! He was not willing to accept it!
Ning Yu roared, unleashing all his supernatural abilities in a final struggle. His clothes were torn to shreds by the powerful energy emanating from the energy ball, revealing his muscular physique. Veins bulged on his skin, as if they were about to burst at any moment.
However, all of this was in vain. The suction force was simply too powerful, like a black hole, threatening to devour everything. Ning Yu's body began to tremble uncontrollably; he felt his consciousness gradually fading, and the world before him began to distort.
Before his consciousness completely vanished, he seemed to see a gigantic face appear within the energy sphere. That face was filled with evil and greed, and it was opening its gaping maw, ready to devour him completely...
"You desire my power?" An ancient and majestic voice echoed in Ning Yu's mind. "Then let's see if you are qualified..."
Ning Yu felt as if he had fallen into a bottomless abyss, surrounded by bizarre and grotesque scenes and deafening roars. Countless distorted faces flashed before his eyes, filled with greed, fear, and madness, assaulting his will. Their shrill voices intertwined, echoing in his ears like a nightmare: "Power... Surrender... Destruction..."
His body began to tremble uncontrollably, and shocking cracks appeared on his skin, as if something was about to burst forth from within. The intense pain made him roar in agony, but he gritted his teeth and persevered, refusing to give up the fight. He knew that if he succumbed to this force, he would be doomed forever.
"Want my power? Then let's see if you have the ability!" Ning Yu roared, trying to dispel the terrifying images in his mind. He concentrated his mind, mobilized all his supernatural abilities, and fought against the mysterious force that was trying to control him.
In an instant, Ning Yu's body seemed to become a battlefield, with two powerful forces clashing fiercely within him. He felt his blood vessels swelling and his bones groaning under the strain, as if they would be torn to shreds by this force at any moment.
"Hold on...you must hold on..." Ning Yu kept telling himself. He understood that this was a crucial moment that would determine his fate. If he failed, he would completely lose himself and become a puppet of this power.
Just then, something unexpected happened.
The once peaceful ground began to tremble violently, and countless cracks spread outwards from Ning Yu. Then, enormous hands made of rock rose from the ground, grabbed his legs, and tried to drag him into endless darkness.
"Get out of my way!" Ning Yu roared, straining his arms to break free from the giant rock hands. However, these rock golems seemed to possess boundless power, and no matter how much he struggled, he couldn't budge them an inch.
Worse still, with the appearance of the rock golems, the mysterious force that was trying to invade his consciousness became even stronger, as if it were working in concert with these golems to completely devour him.
"Give up, you have no choice..." a chilling voice whispered in his ear, "Submit to me, and I can grant you unparalleled power..."
"Dream on!" Ning Yu suddenly raised his head, his eyes flashing with unwavering determination. "My fate is in my own hands, not in the heavens!"
As soon as he finished speaking, he felt an even more powerful force surging from the depths of his body, as if it would destroy everything...
...Destroy everything completely! Ning Yu's body was enveloped by a visible energy fluctuation, and the surrounding air crackled and popped. The giant rock hand was pulverized the moment it came into contact with this energy.
However, the crisis was far from over. More rock golems burst from the ground, like demons crawling out of the abyss of hell, bringing a suffocating sense of oppression, wielding huge stone fists, and surging towards Ning Yu from all directions.
"Overestimating yourself!" A cold glint flashed in Ning Yu's eyes, and a powerful force erupted like a volcano. He moved with ghostly grace, weaving freely through the encirclement of rock golems. Each strike carried overwhelming power, shattering those behemoths into countless fragments.
However, this power, though formidable, was like a wild horse, difficult to control. Each use placed an enormous strain on Ning Yu's body, causing the previously healed cracks to reopen, staining his clothes with blood.
Even more terrifying was that the chilling voice kept echoing in his mind: "Give up the resistance...you are destined to be mine..."
Ning Yu gritted his teeth, his mind filled with Mu Xue's smiling face, the expectant eyes of the survivors, and the hardships and vows he had made along the way.
"My life is in my own hands!" Ning Yu roared. "How dare these mere evil spirits try to control me?!"
He no longer simply resisted that force, but tried to understand it and guide it. He infused his will into the force, felt its pulse, and attempted to find a balance between the two.
Gradually, the violent power seemed to sense Ning Yu's determination and began to docile. Like a ferocious dragon that had found its master, it began to submit to his will.
