Taking advantage of the opportunity, Ning Yu rolled away to dodge the surrounding attacks, quickly picked up the dagger on the ground, pointed it at Captain Chen, and said in a hoarse voice, "Anyone who dares to come any closer, I'll fight them to the death!"
Captain Chen, clutching his chin, got up from the ground, a flicker of fear crossing his eyes as he looked at the dagger in Ning Yu's hand. He glanced around and found that his men were all intimidated by Ning Yu's reckless attitude, and for a moment, no one dared to step forward.
An eerie silence fell over the warehouse, with only Ning Yu's rapid breathing and Captain Chen's gritted teeth echoing in the air.
Ning Yu knew this was just the calm before the storm. He gripped his dagger tightly, his gaze sweeping coldly over the enemies before him, a chilling smile playing on his lips: "Come on, those who aren't afraid to die, come and take the water!"
Captain Chen's gaze darted back and forth between Ning Yu's murderous eyes and the gleaming dagger, but he ultimately took a step back in fear. He knew that the man before him was determined to die, and if he ordered an attack, even if they managed to capture the water source, his side would pay a heavy price.
"You little punk, you're ruthless!" Captain Chen spat viciously, turned around and roared at his men behind him, "Let's go!"
Watching Captain Chen and his group slink away, Ning Yu remained vigilant. He knew these people would not let the matter rest. He looked around; the warehouse's terrain was complex, advantageous for defense, but also vulnerable to encirclement.
"We must find a way to get rid of them completely, otherwise there will be endless troubles," Ning Yu thought to himself.
He noticed some discarded tires and steel pipes piled up in the corner of the warehouse. Although these things seemed insignificant, Ning Yu considered them excellent materials for defensive fortifications. He endured the excruciating pain and dragged his exhausted body to a water source, where he constructed a makeshift defensive structure.
After doing all this, Ning Yu was panting heavily, but he dared not relax in the slightest, because he knew that the real test had just begun.
As night fell, firelight flickered outside the warehouse, and shadowy figures moved about. Captain Chen did not give up. He led his men to lie in ambush around the warehouse, waiting for the right moment to deliver a fatal blow to Ning Yu.
Ning Yu hid behind the fortifications, carefully observing the surrounding movements. He gripped the dagger tightly in his hand, its cold gleam reflecting on his resolute face.
Suddenly, the warehouse door was kicked open, and more than a dozen armed men rushed in.
"Get them! Grab the water!" Captain Chen's voice echoed in the warehouse.
"Well done!" Ning Yu roared, and like a cheetah poised to pounce, he suddenly charged out from behind the defensive fortifications...
As night deepened, Ning Yu's figure disappeared into the darkness, leaving behind only a heavy package.
